Golfing at Turnberry today, my football friend reckons Skirtle a serous option to sign two year pre contract.

Jboy21

1.) 14 Jan 2019 15:39:34
According to the journos on The Totally Football show he's really slowed down recently and has been poor in the Turkish league this year.

He would also want huge money so we would be better off going for someone a bit younger.

2.) 14 Jan 2019 17:15:29
Don't think he offers any value at the wages he will command. We have a fair bit of experience we need to start adding players in the 22 to 25 age bracket who we can develop a bit more then make a profit on. It's how we should be working to trim the debt.

3.) 14 Jan 2019 17:21:50
Jboy21, i didn't go golfing today, however i did read that report online regarding Skirtle in the comfort of my home. I not sure Skirtle is right for us, to expensive with no sell on.

4.) 14 Jan 2019 17:55:10
He would be a brilliant player for us, he could play for a good few seasons yet.

5.) 14 Jan 2019 20:58:22
Anyone heard anything about ravel Morrison? Seen something on twitter saying he’s started following a lot of the current squad.

6.) 14 Jan 2019 21:24:15
I posted, before SG had signed anyone, that most of our signings would be done early in the window. Obviously with other teams signing players some fresh players may become available. Skrtle will have been scouted diligently by us, if he's a target, we have taken a small punt on Defoe cause he ain't been playing. So if we sign him he will be good enough.

05 Jan 2019 13:12:48
FB and super cooper name I am being given is skirtel deal back on.

Jboy21

1.) 05 Jan 2019 13:30:07
Nice one Jboy21.We'll just have to wait and see mate. Good strong centre half though!

2.) 05 Jan 2019 14:09:37
Curtis Tilt currently with Blackpool is another CB linked with Rangers.

3.) 05 Jan 2019 14:15:39
i would much rather see katic put back in the team him and goldson looked solid at beginning of season.
then look for backup options for these two for next season.

4.) 05 Jan 2019 14:45:53
craigs8688 as I keep saying, it's not backup players we're after. The way to progress is to sign better players than you currently have then those who drop out become backup players. Simple.

5.) 05 Jan 2019 14:57:57
Craig 8688 if katic isn't playing it's because he's not ready or not good enough simple as.

6.) 05 Jan 2019 15:41:44
Katic done well but hearing his old mans seriously ill back hone and he is really unsettled. Same as coullibaly.

7.) 05 Jan 2019 15:54:03
I wouldn't be looking at another centre half jboy mate imo think we still need a 10 n we would be about there.

8.) 05 Jan 2019 16:17:51
Tend to agree Fb, not sure we need a ten now Defoe there.

9.) 05 Jan 2019 18:29:45
If defoe signs he will hopefully help morreles become lethal in front of goal. 200 goals for various teams. Has the knowledge to pass. Better at finishing and morreles would be a 15 / 20 million pound player if he kerbs the temper.

10.) 05 Jan 2019 18:39:07
Is Skertel not available on a free at the end of the season now? Could be a decent Bosman.

11.) 05 Jan 2019 20:19:14
Glasgow ranger yes available on a free could sign him on a pre contract, just turned 34
Five years younger than McCauley.

12.) 06 Jan 2019 00:14:27
Skrtel would be a brilliant CB for us, if u ever watched him his Ariel dominance is unreal, hopefully his composure in defence would help Goldson become even better than he has been as I feel at some points him and worrall have got themselves is some tangles. Even at 34 he’s still fantastic. I could see his wages being a massive stumbling block though.

13.) 06 Jan 2019 00:17:18
asayouth katic and goldson are good defenders so to replace them that will take a lot doing and lot of money.
If we can sign skrtel on free contract then that is fair enough but his wages will be a stumbling block.
As for katic not being good enough who ever said that above got to disagree you with on that one i would say this lad can be even better than goldson.

14.) 06 Jan 2019 02:34:05
Craigs8688 where did I mention replacing either of them?

04 Jan 2019 11:46:06
Concerned talk that mccrorie could leave.

Jboy21

1.) 04 Jan 2019 12:45:00
read this, however depends on the sort of fee imo. if we could get over 2m for him i'd let him go.

2.) 04 Jan 2019 12:57:23
Id keeo him.

3.) 04 Jan 2019 13:14:30
jboy21, I think it’s a complement to the boy on the back of SG speaking so highly about his performance on Saturday. He has looked excellent since he got in the side a month ago and growing physically and in confidence. Don’t believe he is going anywhere.

4.) 04 Jan 2019 13:51:32
Robby, on loan. Hardly concerning👍.

5.) 04 Jan 2019 14:19:42
Coldco, Ross to Swansea mate.

6.) 04 Jan 2019 15:00:39
Dunfermline - £2m? Are you mental? For a young Scottish guy, who just coasted an old firm game, can only get better and can cover 3 positions? We need home grown players like him, a brief glance at the history of successful Rangers teams tells you that. I would be wanting funny money before thinking about shifting him. If the mhankies are wanting £20m plus for Tierney, why would we take £2m for McRorie? Always selling ourselves short with our Scottish players, look how much Adam and McCormack eventually went for over the years, we let both go for under £1m.

7.) 04 Jan 2019 15:42:24
Fair enough, maybe I am selling him a little short however for me I wasn’t even sure he would have a future at the club until watching him in the last old firm game. I think we could replace McCrorie with a better player for that money. However I do get that he has a long term contract so maybe could demand a bigger fee. i'd rather see him go out on loan and gain some experience.

8.) 04 Jan 2019 16:00:44
Dunfermline why sell the future.

9.) 04 Jan 2019 16:14:04
McCrorie is a future captain of club and country and is going nowhere. He loves the club and was excellent against Celtic on Saturday. Expect him to play around 20 games in second half of season.

10.) 04 Jan 2019 17:31:41
I would really like to see him make a name for himself. I love his all action style, snaps into challenges comes out unscathed most of the time, has a turn of pace, tall and strong, he likes a pass and to be fair all of that would surely improve over a couple more seasons.

11.) 04 Jan 2019 19:07:03
Dunfermline - name me one player, in the entire world, better than McRorie and with more potential who we could get for £2m. I'll wait.

12.) 04 Jan 2019 20:20:59
@theswagman. I offerr u kamara. EXactly the same attributes and a full international. Love the way everyone over estimates a player based on one game. 1 thing i'm certain of is ross will never captain us and the **** sorry scotland.

However when it comes to it i trust gerrard to make the right choices.

13.) 04 Jan 2019 14:29:01
Can't see this anywhere. 🤔👍.

14.) 06 Jan 2019 14:15:52
Overestimating based on one game? Has McRorie only played one game for us?

02 Jan 2019 16:39:25
Anyone hearing any rumours Goldston to Newcastle for Seven million?
Heard it from two totally unrelated sources.
Hearing been discussed by Benitez and SG.

Jboy21

1.) 02 Jan 2019 17:09:53
Hold out for £9million? 🇬🇧.

2.) 02 Jan 2019 17:22:49
I have a few geordie pals Jboy21, so i will try and find out if they've heard anything mate. Hope this isn't the case though, as i really rate connor goldson and would love us to keep him at rangers, longterm! He's a very good centre half in my eyes!

3.) 02 Jan 2019 17:36:43
really really hope not the big man has been solid at the back probably mcgregor aside our most consistant performer would be gutted if he left.

4.) 02 Jan 2019 17:52:11
When you see what defenders go for down south and given the big man is only 25 (? ), we would be daft to sell him for that when we paid £3.5m. For only £3.5m profit I would rather hang on.

5.) 02 Jan 2019 18:05:37
Havent heard any of any interest in Goldson but if there is then i'm not surprised as he's a fantastic player. i'm sure there will be bids for many others in our team.

6.) 02 Jan 2019 18:08:25
Could be good business but we're trying to build a team.

7.) 02 Jan 2019 18:08:47
Unbelievable button has been bashed.

8.) 02 Jan 2019 19:33:10
If supercooper has ever mentioned that Goldson might be a future captain for us there is a right good chance the big man will be off this month 😩.

9.) 02 Jan 2019 21:00:25
Jboy21,i've contacted 2 of my geordie buddies and they told me they've definitely not heard anything about newcastle utd, being interested in connor goldson! I told them and i'm stating it on here, i hope it stays that way!

10.) 02 Jan 2019 21:13:39
Did you see Goldson's face when we beat the tims? He's going nowhere.

11.) 02 Jan 2019 22:29:17
Super good stuff, I would want him to stay defo, as Asa says his reaction when we won.

12.) 03 Jan 2019 00:43:44
Don't see us doing any business with Mike Ashley given the bad blood between king and him.

13.) 03 Jan 2019 10:18:24
Not a chance we'll deal with newcastle.

14.) 03 Jan 2019 15:59:29
have heard this too, i'd hold out for 9-10 mil.

14 Dec 2018 19:14:43
Just received text from same guy who told me we were signing, Docherty, Arfield, Dorrans and mcgregor that James Morrison in the frame for January signing.

Jboy21

1.) 14 Dec 2018 19:28:23
James morrison would be a good signing for us Jboy21.I'd still prefer steven davis though mate! Just my opinion mate. I like the sound of a rangers midfield of steven davis, ryan jack and scotty arfield!

2.) 14 Dec 2018 20:14:26
That’s my preferred midfield super. With more games for Mccrorie.

3.) 14 Dec 2018 22:20:36
Jboy21, do you prefer james morrison over steven davis mate?

4.) 15 Dec 2018 08:09:45
Morrrison not in the same class as Davis imo. I’d take the 2 of them because Ejaria is obviously going back to Liverpool I’d be sending Coulibaly back to France in January and McCrorie is a squad player so we are short in midfield certainly quality wise. I also would be bringing Docherty back said from the start he should’ve of been kept unfortunately apart from Kent the loans have not worked out and if we can I’d be cancelling them in January.

5.) 15 Dec 2018 09:45:04
agree on morrison lads he’d be a really good addition bags experience good engine, full international and wld upgrade our midfield as would davis - let’s get both!

we also def need another striker fredo can’t do it all on his own and laffs done ok but not brilliant we need more firepower to put teams away

another brace for hardie last night i see. will he ever get a chance i wonder?

6.) 15 Dec 2018 09:59:34
Is Morrison even fit? I thought he has struggled badly the last year with injury, couple of years ago I'd say aye but not for me the now.

7.) 15 Dec 2018 10:14:39
James Morrison is a Tim that’s a non starter straight away.

8.) 15 Dec 2018 10:19:40
No he isn’t he’s English born and a Gers supporter and if he was so what.

9.) 15 Dec 2018 10:24:04
Why are people convinced that if a players supports us or Celtic then they would never play for the other? Guess no one told kenny Dalglish that.

10.) 15 Dec 2018 10:53:25
He’s definitely a one of them trust my word, he’s been seen in the manky mobbs end a few times, personally what we r trying to sign the now is hardcore bluenoses n Morrison ain’t one il take u for a beer if he signs for us.

11.) 15 Dec 2018 10:57:47
James Morrision has in the past said " he a bit of a Rangers man" just the usual comments. He would greatly improve our midfield as woukd Davis. woukd have the 4 and rotate between Morrison, Davis, Jack and Arfield. plus hopefully Dorans can get fit.

12.) 15 Dec 2018 11:09:15
Super I think both players better than we have. Taking one I'd prefer Davis.

13.) 15 Dec 2018 11:11:04
Derrylad morrison 100% a blue nose.

14.) 15 Dec 2018 11:18:32
Not that bothered for Morrison TBF. International yes, but international in an absolute dug meat Scotland team. Just a middle of the road midfielder that would end up on a big wage, I don't see him as a partucularly massive upgrade.

15.) 15 Dec 2018 12:15:42
Would take Dowell before any of them he’s a big talent and would run riot up here.

16.) 15 Dec 2018 14:03:23
Derrylad, i can also assure you that james morrison is a blue nose! He's never hidden he's a rangers man! Can't believe you didn't know that mate! He's no celtic man!

17.) 15 Dec 2018 14:18:33
Jgg so how often have you watched Dowell.

18.) 15 Dec 2018 14:34:22
James morrison has been quite injury prone of late, whereas stevie davis hasn't had injury problems throughout his career and is as fit as a butcher's dog! Also more importantly davis is a better midfielder than morrison! I've always been a massive fan of davo! He was superb for us first time around and would be again, for another 2 or 3 years at least. I really hope gerrard signs davis in january!

19.) 15 Dec 2018 15:51:21
He was in the Celtic box with James mcclean it the old firm.

20.) 15 Dec 2018 16:33:46
Yes because that person got the tickets and he took him with him! James morrison is a rangers fan mate. that's it in a nutshell! He's a bluenose!

21.) 15 Dec 2018 17:09:21
Better off with Eddie Morrison than James Morrison.

22.) 15 Dec 2018 17:36:29
A midfield of davis, jack and arfield preferred choice it seems. noW Tell me where is the creative spark we so desperately lack coming from with that trio?

23.) 15 Dec 2018 18:44:31
Steven davis can provide the creative spark. Davo is an all-round midfielder.

24.) 15 Dec 2018 22:50:34
Would love Davis back.

25.) 15 Dec 2018 23:13:12
Does it really matter who they support? The best players are professional enough to separate work and the team they support. Also funny to think, not long ago we where all making songs about coulibaly.

26.) 16 Dec 2018 11:11:43
Davis would be a great signing but he's not the no 10 we are looking for, however he would be a stand out in our current team.
Him, Jack and Arfield

More worried about a forward as the manky mob after 2 as well, we will be after the same players again no doubt.
Hopefully get Solanke with liverpool connections.

Heard this last night, did not believe it. Also hearing bigger transfer news coming
Not, Davis or Morelos.

Jboy21

1.) 03 Jan 2019 17:44:57
Who then Jboy21?Put us out our misery mate!

2.) 03 Jan 2019 17:47:57
JBoy

Are you referring to Defoe or something else.

3.) 03 Jan 2019 17:58:30
Truly think jermain defoe will be a superb signing for us. He's a natural finisher and will score goals for fun for us! A special thank you to our terrific, worldwide, iconic manager, the one and only steven gerrard! Because make no doubt about it, the reason defoe has signed for rangers, is because steven gerrard is our manager! We would never have been able to sign defoe, if it weren't for stevie G! His name is massive and bigger than celtic's brenda rodgers!
Thats why we beat them to defoe's signature! Gerrard is some draw for us. Don't you just love the rangers manager! What a pro he is. Absolutely buzzing with this signing!

4.) 03 Jan 2019 18:12:23
Super and mols not Defoe, I was not given a name, guy who told me these guys plus likes of Arfield, mcgregor Katic says he will keep digging and get back to me.
No matter what happens, if we only get they two a great window
Let's move, Wallace, Pena, etc.

5.) 03 Jan 2019 19:11:12
I hope Defoe still has something in the tank.
We can all remember when the east end mob bought Freddie Ljungberg and Ian Wright big names, big failures.
I hate to be a grump but I will reserve judgement until Defoe has played a few games.
I truly hope I am wrong and you can all remind me how uncertain I was when we signed him.

6.) 03 Jan 2019 20:06:15
4th choice striker at Bournemouth. 4 goals in 16 months. 36 years old
Aye great signing 😂😂😂😂😂.

7.) 03 Jan 2019 20:28:47
Lallana.

8.) 03 Jan 2019 22:12:39
In other words egd or edg or whatever, your arse has just collapsed! Defoe will rip your lot a new one, no doubt about it. Now away back to the one syllable squad.

9.) 04 Jan 2019 03:41:46
Jones from Killie on pre-contract.

10.) 04 Jan 2019 13:44:15
With Defoe have a great chance of the league now!

15 Dec 2018 19:06:01
Young lad mebude signs deal till 2021.

Jboy21

1.) 15 Dec 2018 19:15:58
Great news. The youth set up does look very good just now. It seems to have been a while since we had a kid come through and have a prolonged run in the team over a few seasons. This bunch seem very capable of producing the next Barry Ferguson or Allan McGregor.

2.) 15 Dec 2018 19:38:21
Kelly the best by far.

3.) 15 Dec 2018 23:11:11
Good news, hopefully see him scoring soon in the first team, agree RE Kelly, hopefully can fill out a bit physically and get in the team!

4.) 15 Dec 2018 23:36:16
Do you see much of youths games jboy? I've seen a couple and Kelly was good but thought mcpake was good.

5.) 16 Dec 2018 00:56:31
Different ball game barjo was a stick out in that team now struggling out on loan.

6.) 16 Dec 2018 10:51:49
Bathgate see most of home games, wish Kelly would stretch, seen his dad at games he is tall so maybe lad has growing to do.

18 Oct 2018 15:53:58
Aberdeen ordered to hand back 5500 tickets, hopefully c card semi final get tickets now.

Jboy21

1.) 18 Oct 2018 20:37:12
Typical deluded 'big' club wannabees. 20,000 wasn't enough but 10,000 turned out to be too much.

17 Oct 2018 23:04:22
What is mr Robertson doing re semi final ticket debacle. Least he should do is demand Aberdeen pay for all tickets.
I'm about to miss my first semi or final in 30 yrs as never got two tickets in ballot for my son and me.
About time he thought back and defended our fans.

Jboy21

1.) 17 Oct 2018 23:57:36
Jboy, have you not read his letter to Glasgow City Council over the fanzone issue and anti Rangers tweets from MSP’s?

He’s absolutely fought and defended us on that front.

2.) 18 Oct 2018 05:53:31
Jboy21, don't hold your breath on our so called managing director stewart robertson doing anything! How this gentleman, has a position of power as the rangers MD, is beyond me! I honestly don't think this guy has a tongue! For the position he's in, we as gers supporters, should be hearing a helluva lot more, from him! No wonder many of us bears call him the invisible man. What does this guy actually do and bring to the rangers table? Nowt, as far as i can see! Advocated on here for at least a year or more now, that we should rid ourselves of stewart robertson and go and bring the current hibs chief executive, leeann dempster, to rangers as our new chief executive/
managing director, to replace him!
She most certainly knows her stuff and has done a fantastic job, at both motherwell and hibs! She's a very clever astute woman, no doubt about that!

3.) 18 Oct 2018 08:17:23
Super cooper, maybe you, could, become chief executive and, write, lots of letters full of, commas for, no apparent reason, on our behalf?

,

4.) 18 Oct 2018 09:11:57
Can we have a poll on our next Chief Exec. Only kidding! 😃.

5.) 18 Oct 2018 14:37:07
Stewart robertson is not the issue, he can go to the sfa and state everything that we have stated already but its down to the sfa to make these decisions. You can't blame robertson for the decisions made by the sfa🙃👍. As for leanne dempster😂👍.

6.) 18 Oct 2018 15:35:34
Missed out on tickets also went to both ayr and killie games now going to miss the semi because of petty minded sheep and spineless suits at hampden.

7.) 18 Oct 2018 15:40:16
It’s down to the league giving them all the tickets for the stand. They should have given them block by block. That mob were never going to sell out their allocation and it was obvious they would ensure they sold certain tickets first to stop Rangers from getting them.

8.) 18 Oct 2018 15:42:25
Bearmode I get your point, but he never defends us against sofa, Lennon sheep etc
The man needs to grow a set.

9.) 18 Oct 2018 15:59:35
Maybe stewart robertson has fought the fans corner coop, BBC now reporting that aberdeen's semi tickets have now been cut as they have only sold just over 9000. 5000 extra tickets now going to us👍.

10.) 18 Oct 2018 16:55:58
Swag man 😂😂😂😂 full of comas for no apparent reason 😂😂, nearly ended me there mate 👍.

11.) 18 Oct 2018 23:10:42
Fair play to Robertson if he did fight for more tickets. My info it was Doncaster who blew a gasket and threatened to make sheep pay for every ticket they received.

12 Oct 2018 10:29:53
I chose to watch my first Scotland game in years - big mistake.
However, it did get me thinking Allan McGregor only signed a two year deal when he returned.
Based on his displays so far I strongly believe we should already be looking at an extension of a year with another years option. Alan will be top player for at least another five years in my opinion.

Jboy21

1.) 12 Oct 2018 11:14:59
I was thinking the same about mcgregor, can't believe we managed to mcgregor flanagan and arfield on free transfers👍.

2.) 12 Oct 2018 15:23:00
I said it before the appointment and it pains me to say it again, but i firmly believe, alex mcleish being appointed scotland manager again, was the wrong appointment! I really liked big red, when he was the rangers manager and did a terrific job for us, just like he did in his first spell as scotland manager! But when strachan was sacked, i truly believe we should have went for a young,
vibrant, upcoming manager/ head coach
with modern philosophies and forward thinking. Most of the sensible thinking scotland fans, would be prepared to give a younger coach time, if it meant, in 5 or 10 years from now, we would have everything in place to progress our national team, in every level, towards the senior team! Just look at the countries who have been patient, went back to the drawing board and given the manager time. I would honestly rather have someone like our current scotland 21 head coach, scott gemmill, or a jack ross in as the scotland manager, than going back the way, by appointing, alex mcleish! A suggestion of mine within my mates,
was to at least try and get guus hiddink in as the scotland manager, at least ask him, and have a young vibrant, modern thinking, coach learning under someone like hiddink!
As much as it pains me to say it, i suggest we should have copied our neighbours, england, as they went and appointed a youthful, modern coach in gareth southgate and IMO its already starting to pay dividends!

3.) 13 Oct 2018 17:13:20
Coldco great work from mark Allen.
