Story is kamara and gio had a fallout on Saturday wouldn't surprise me as everything we do just now is sunday league stuff.

I think it would be very easy to fall out with Glen Kamara when he turns up for his work and performs the way he has done if you were his boss.

2.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 16:16:06
Probably because every chance he gets to shoot he passes.

3.) 13 Nov 2022

would say the same about gio pal.

4.) 13 Nov 2022

Kamara has every right. Wanted away in the summer, couldve tripled his wages and got told no after the people he was close to left. Dropped for months without reason and picked sporadically then dropped again. Subbed yesterday when lundstram was 100x worse in the first half. Kamara gas went from a 15m player to maybe 2m under gio. And that story goes with most of the squad. The time to sack him was March. It doesn't even matter anymore.

5.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 16:47:39
Who bid £15 million for Kamara in the summer?

6.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 17:04:43
Mph nobody did and nobody would! And by the way tjrfc what was Bassey worth before Gio? Cause he could barely get in a Gerrard team Gio was the one that gave him a good run of games and with that gave us the chance to make £20m stop ? kissing Gerrards arse it’s embarrassing.

7.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 17:37:35
I would have gladly took 4 or 5 million for kamara and let him go with clubs and fans best wishes again I remind people he only signed a deal in good faith to get rangers a fee.

But again this board does not know what it's doing.

And everybody that praises Wilson just because of bassey is mental his other business has been shocking and a big part of reason we are I. This situation letting players get to last year of deals is idiotic unless the intention has been to release them all along

We give contracts to ones we want our and don't get contracts to ones we want to stay ?.

8.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 18:30:55
No wonder getting subbed at half time for arfield who done nothing when he came on.

9.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 18:31:40
Wilson broke our transfer record twice and got good money for aribo with a year on his contract no as daft as some on here make out.

10.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 18:32:32
Letting players get on the last year of there deal you no sick a peddling that old chestnut. You can’t force any player to sign a new deal.

11.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 18:48:24
No you can’t force them to sign new deals but if it gets to the final year they should be sold that summer! Morelos has been garbage so far this season and he’ll probably leave for free and same with Kent all be it he’s done a bit more than Alfie but he cost £7m we’ve not had that much out of him and if he leaves for free it will be considered a huge loss for us!

12.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 18:50:51
HB81 okay so bassey has went up in value. Aribo? Went down. Kent and morelos? Worthless. Kamara? Worthless. Barisic? Worthless. McGregor and mclaughlan have gotten 10x worse.

13.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 18:53:38
Kamara has been poorly treated by our management team.
Played out of position, then dropped for inferior players.
Now a player that was an integral part of our team, has been hung out to dry.
And he will not be the last one.

14.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 19:03:56
Bassey aribo was not a Wilson signing so your really giving him credit for old director of football and proving my point of Kent and mo should have been sold even at a reduced price if they were not going to sign.

15.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 19:13:39

13 Nov 2022 19:41:31
Highland it’s not as easy as selling in last year either as you can’t make a club bid for them either.

Tj aribo went down in value We done well getting what we got for him considering he had one year left.

17.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 19:45:57
Gofer, that is a pretty fair assessment although I understand that Lunstram was very much down to Gerrard who wanted Lundstram and pretty much insisted on him being signed. Only one that I wouldn't agree with is Sakala, he is another one that doesn't come close to being good enough!

We should probably also add Gio since presumably Gio was a Wilson signing as well!

18.) 13 Nov 2022
13 Nov 2022 19:56:34
Tjrfc Aribo scored in a euro final and was one of the main reasons we got there we got £10m for a guy in the last year of his contract that was a good deal for us. Gio would have increased his value if anything.

I don’t think you can blame Gio for Morelos he’s been out injured for a long time and he’s been notorious for getting out of shape when he’s not playing
.
And for me Kent is playing like a guy in his last season desperate not to get injured so he’s free to get a big contract on a free.

Barisic well he’s a casualty of Bassey’s success it happens.

Kamara you might have a point with I thought he would be a Gio type of player I don’t know what’s gone wrong there.

McLaughlin isn’t and never has been good enough and Mcgregor has stepped up but imo he himself knows he’s to old but he’s still prepared to take the flack for some poor shows and give his best.

I think most of the points you make are valid you’re just aiming at the wrong people, it’s the board’s responsibility player’s contract’s and what not and I blame Ross Wilson for signing inadequate replacements.

I’m not trying to save Gio I think he’s been dealt a sh*te hand this season but it looks like he’s lost the dressing room and his time is up, but I do feel for him a little it’s not all his fault!

Hagi was brilliant for us 55 season how you can put up a sick face a will never know.

Doesn’t matter who signed them Wilson sold
Them for big money.

We are all guilty of being spoiled, over expectant rangers fans who want our cake and to eat it. Reality is this is a business and a business that in 2012 suffered the ultimate downfall. The board, under king and after king have been plotting to getting the business back into a position where we won’t have to worry about collapsing in the long term. We have been in debt ans lots of debt for years. We needed European football to accelerate this.

Now……. the board had a checklist of priorities.

1 - stop the 10 ✅
2 - get into Europe ✅
3 - get into champions league ✅
4 - sell assets ✅
5 - re invest in low costing development players ✅
6 - compete in the league with what we have ❌
7 - pay off investors and loans ✅
8 - compete in champions league ❌
9 - give Gio this season as a hit and hope ✅
10 - have the club in a strong financial position for next season with a big transfer budget for Gio and Wilson to assemble a much higher calibre of player and new look rangers team - pending

In business, you often need a bit of short term sacrifice for long term reward.

The board had tk prioritise the long term financial stability of rangers and therefor could not give wilson and Gio money to sign better players than what we had. To replace Bassey and Aribo with “ready made” players your going to have to spend £10 million per player.

That’s why we take gambles on “rough diamonds” at 2-3 million and hope to develop them. They don’t all work hence why we can get them for so cheap.

Lawrence - free - great signing
Colak - 1.5 - great signing
Yilmaz - 4 million - was looking promising
Matondo - not looking great but young
Souttar - free - a risk that hasn’t paid off yet he’s still only 26 and has years to make up for it.
Tillman- loan - has contributed well so far
Davies - 4 million - looks good

Wilson has done well here in my opinion.

The team has not improved because we have had injuries to goldson, souttar. Jack, Hagi, Lawrence, kamara, Yilmaz, Colak, Lowry, Davies, Sakala

We’ve had no competition for places. No build up of team cohesion due to injuries, no momentum being built.

Then we have players who played 65 games last season who had a break of only 2 weeks before being back for champions league qualifiers. They are mentally fatigued. Mental fatigue brings on physical fatigue which causes injuries. Hence we are dropping like flies. Domestic + Europe with not a lot of bodies, putting extra workload into tired minds and bodies at the top level does not work.

The board achieved most of their aims and Gio played s big part in it. Gio responsible for securing the financial stability of rangers fc.

The board had to prioritise the finances and the team have not been able to take the next step onto a better level. We’ve kept McGregor and Arfield to try and inspire these new young players on how to adapt and cope with the league.

Unfortunately the performances have been poor but with most of the first team squad out what do you expect?

A CB pairing of 18 year old king and Sands who’s 22 and a natural CM. Now king is out ??‍♂️

Talks of a takeover. Whatever happens we will be able to approach next season with a healthy bank balance. A big transfer budget. McGregor, helander, Arfield, kamara, Kent and Morelos off the wage bill.

Then Gio and Wilson can shop in a slightly higher end shop. Not needing to scour the bargain basement and take punts on “potential future players” or loans or free transfers.

Then Gio will be judged. Get players back from injury. Have a fresh new team of mentally and physically hungry players who will all compete for places.

Then judge Gio.

The board did what they had to do for the club. Gio won’t be sacked. He’d have to walk. The board, wilson and Gio all knew this season was a hit and hope.

We will come back stronger than ever next season.

Berkshire blue I only give sakala a slight pass because he's at least a try hard but just not up to standard he will try run at them will take men on sees himself as a striker we are forcing him wide so trying to be fair.

King Henry no9 a board goal really and excuses of 2012 really started with football debt only we had full stadiums every year at pretty much same season ticket value yes revenues down but so where the wages.

Your argument is weak if we are not aiming to win league there is no point in our club and at some point fans will get annoyed and start walking especially if our board sees failure as acceptable and does not back manager even when earns them a fortune.

And most of my point is Wilson and recruitment any of us could buy 25 or more signings and make one or two work out. Every player that is signed should be see as a replacement for an existing first team 11 player signing for bench is stupid otherwise youth should be given a chance we are hearing talk of Lowry being arrogant when all the best players are people intent on breaking boys spirit and in turn will break him as a player.

HB81 we didn't get 10m though did we? We got 6, so far, which is shocking. We shouldve cashed in at the optimum time for everyone. Would've been better than getting to a final that we bottled.

Thanks John,

I bet Man Utd fans wish they had stuck with Moyes after years of changing managers and never letting anyone settle or create something.

Arteta nearly got the sack last season. Bottom of the league at one point. But trusted him. Let him bring in his players and now look at them.

Rodgers would set for the sack. Now look at Leicester. On a great run.

We seem to have a very “toys out the pram” mentality instead of supporting and backing our managers when times are tough. We seem much happier to get raging and demand instant change. Which never happens. Nothing is instant.
