Stv just reported that there's no external investment and the presser is just announcing a share issue

Tjrfc

1.) 07 May 2018 13:54:59
said this all along, its nothing more than a request for yet more of our money to fund the new manager. What the hell do we all think now. There has been some amount of single fish and people in the know on here that know feck all.

2.) 07 May 2018 14:12:43
What we need to remember is king only owns 14 per cent of shares, so this must be agreed by board. Not good enough

3.) 07 May 2018 14:15:12
Bigcliff, it's a rumour website, stories were certainly doing the rounds. Not good enough from our board

4.) 07 May 2018 14:19:49
A lot of guys been doing some slavering!
Bit of a damper after the big news the other day, I think mr Gerrard may have been duped

5.) 07 May 2018 14:24:35
The more I think about it, why would king come out and say we have x y or z to spend. If he said their was 20m to spend then clubs would instantly bump up the valuation for players we are interested in!

6.) 07 May 2018 14:28:14
Agreed bigcliff, a lot of folks on here just making up absolute drivel and claiming to know people in the know haha

7.) 07 May 2018 14:38:31
If the board make a song and dance about new investment then clubs will up the asking over potential targets.

8.) 07 May 2018 14:47:17
I am a bit annoyed by this, but then again I guess I’m just like everyone else and hoped the rumours would be true. I don’t think it’s all doom and gloom however. We have a new kit deal which is more than last season along with the sports direct deal no longer being in place. Then there is the share issue 6m. Pedro got about 10 million last summer. Also players out of contact/ sold in the summer. so taking all this into consideration one would think Gerrard would have somewhere between 10-20 million this summer. And like it was said above why would king say we have ‘X’ amount to spend then we get held at random for players.

9.) 07 May 2018 15:36:34
The kit deal is less than half of what puma where paying govanfront

10.) 07 May 2018 16:02:14
I can't really see him saying what Gerrard has to spend that'll be for the papers to speculate.

11.) 07 May 2018 16:10:40
puma were paying who gordo?

12.) 07 May 2018 17:18:42
I know its a rumours page, and every man and his dog have been talking about big money from overseas, but do you honestly think Gerrard would have signed up seeing our current squad, and being told "that's what you have to work with", he must have been given assurances about finance for transfers, but the club are hardly likely to announce what we've got to the outside world are they?

13.) 07 May 2018 17:28:12
To all above : QUESTION : ---- Would SG even consider becoming our manager if he hadn't been given funds which in HIS estimation were sufficient.
ANSWER : NO BRAINER

14.) 07 May 2018 18:20:56
You're talking absolute tosh, gordo87!Puma paid rangers £1.5million a season which was signed when we were in the 3rd division, under the stewardship of chuck green! It was a 5 year deal which in my maths equates to a total of £7.5million in total! Hummel are giving us £10million over 3 years which is £2.5million more than puma in a deal which is 2 years less! I would confidently say that the hummel deal is way more than the puma deal was, from where i'm standing mate!

15.) 07 May 2018 18:35:40
Dave king is a fantastic lier its been proved. think stevie g has fell in the trap. and as for investment why keep it quiet u make a statement signing stevie g next thing and only thing u can do is bankroll him bottom line stuck it to the celtic

16.) 07 May 2018 18:45:34
Loans loans and more loans, I thought we were supposed to be back on track according to mr king! King is a liar and I will not be forking out again. Enough is enough

17.) 07 May 2018 18:51:09
Fell in a trap? . Shoosht man. King never said Gerrard was getting millions. Gerrard will know exactly what he's getting. Just because King hasn't came out and said how much he's a liar? . All people like you used to say was our business is aLL in the papers and now it's mostly kept in house you make up crap. Let the summer make it's own course then comment. Sick of so called dupportes bringing us down.

18.) 07 May 2018 19:08:55
How is King a liar Ronnie.? what has he lied about. Its maybe better you don’t come back. the club can do with people like you and your negative attitude.

19.) 07 May 2018 19:39:47
Colster do your homework and you’ll realise why he’s a liar!

20.) 07 May 2018 20:26:17
Like already been said on here let's wait for they new season and see whst happens then. Stevie G. Knows what he's let himself in for and is gambling 4 years of his career in order to get back to the EPL as a top manager.

21.) 08 May 2018 09:18:25
What happened to underarmour supersttuper? you guaranteed everyone I you had a source? Yet another lie?
Tommy

22.) 08 May 2018 17:55:41
It is total madness what's hapining here people. let's just think about it logicaly. since dave king promised take my doe or give them 10in a row he has done absaloute he haw. He goes on about investors this that and next thing. its no about investors its about geting basics right. he has squandered the millons raised buy fans botching a team of second rate loanees year in year out to stop the rot. No other teams have investors in scotland with 30 mill its utter crap. and not needed to win a mill a season its just nonsence. we have let these mupets in the door and let them screw us over year in year out. we needed a top manager as soon as mcoist left. someone who new the club gave him the time kept the millons and built up a strong squad last 3year and may have even sold a few gems if we had the right module in place behind the scenes. the scouting has been horendous let's be honest we have forgot about the basics and done nothing buy panic buys and squandered a good transfer kitty. that could easyly won the scottish league with a strong celtic

What happened to the Kevin Nolan story? I'd liked to have seen him up here.

1.) 05 Dec 2015 15:08:47
He was not in the mood for dancing?

2.) 06 Dec 2015 14:08:33
Didn't he retire when he left west ham? Would have been a great signing. Like five years ago.

3.) 07 Dec 2015 11:14:47
Isn't he about 45 lmao.

Need to sort this out we haven't really won since before the old firm because that was penalties anybody could have won and with the final coming up we need to start wining again.

Tjrfc

1.) 26 Apr 2016 22:17:48
Beaten by Hibs, only a draw with Alloa, beaten by Livingston. Warbs must go!

Only joking but as the OP says, this is getting slightly worrying with the cup final in sight.

21 Apr 2016 13:14:26
Dunno how this will go, but with his conviction being quashed would anyone take ched evans?

Tjrfc

1.) 21 Apr 2016 13:53:31
had bags of potential before everything happened. if he is cleared, and still could do a decent job I would take him. Only if he is cleared though.

2.) 21 Apr 2016 14:21:58
No he's not kicked a ball in over 4 years And has a retrial to go through and would bring to much unwanted publicity to the club.

3.) 21 Apr 2016 15:39:20
Absolutely not. We aren't that kind of club its happened in Scottish football before and should never be allowed to happen again.

4.) 21 Apr 2016 16:17:28
some one will take him on but I would not expect warbs
will be one of his suitors.

5.) 21 Apr 2016 18:04:46
There are plenty of players we could go for so why go for someone with that kind of baggage. Don't know how long a re trial will take and until it's finished and if he gets found not guilty then I doubt anyone will take him.

6.) 22 Apr 2016 10:20:27
Warburon would never touch a player like that, the work that goes on background checks on incoming players is incredible, we do some amount of homework before we sign anyone now, it's really amazing how much rangers have changed under the gaffer, in my opinion I think warbs is superb.

7.) 22 Apr 2016 11:51:43
I think the guy would score bags of goals in Scotland in a team like ours.

8.) 22 Apr 2016 13:19:21
He's got a retrial to deal with before he can think about anything else.

Read a lot about his case and doubts over his conviction, appeal judge clearly thinks that he has some questions to answer otherwise wouldn't have ordered retrial.

I'd agree with sadiq. I've read several stories that he'll be watching and that he passed his medical in Glasgow. Only rumours though

Grgooner you can buy their contract out. Do you remember sandaza? And there are clearly clubs interested in him. It was even announced clubs were interested and he was free to leave with Halliday

If Stevie G thought he wasn't rangers standard he'd have been sold or sacked. Hopefully he comes back technically better and stronger. He was a fighter in the middle and hope he does well for Joey and Clint

he was just the best of a bad bunch, wouldn't be hard to shine in that group. him and wallace were the best there.

McKay was poor are you serious? Who was man of the match then? Tav wasn't great but was on of the best out there. If you slate anyone make it people who were genuinely rubbish not players you don't like eg Danny Wilson and Nicky Law.
