I really want us to sign Rasking. The lad is a midfield dynamo, competitive, and a team player. We need guys like him in our side. He should be top of the shopping list with a view to letting guys like Davis and Jack go at the end of the season.

Lots of media saying that Beale wants to sign Tillman for 5 Million as per supposed deal agreement.
I do feel the boy has talent and a football brain but would rather this decision made after many more fruitful performances.
Tillman has had a downbeat attitude in many previous games where he looks as if he can't be bothered and doesn't always chase his man down when ball is lost - hopefully that's the previous regime to blame and not his inner character as 5 mill is a lot to shell out for us? I feel we could spend less and gain more if you know what I mean, Any thoughts guys?

I thought the Tillman fee was closer to 1.5m?

Whatever the fee I do believe he has enormous potential if managed/ coached properly but do agree that decision needs to be made after more than one good friendly performance.

Blue Floyd agree with everything you say. There is definitely a player in there but he needs to work harder. We aren’t good enough to have a luxury player strutting about the midfield. Let’s see if he improves under Micheal Beale.

I'd like us to sign Raskin.

Interesting to see his club side line him for not signing a new deal - that's an approach that a few of our fans want to see us take with Kent and Morelos.

Personally I don't like it, and think the clubs should honour the contract.

Malik Tillman is not a “luxury player”. He presses the opposition brilliantly. If you look at No of his compilations on YouTube you’ll see him winning the ball back, and scoring, with some frequency. He’s done it a few times for us as well including that goal against Motherwell from the halfway point. The high press is a big part of the modern day game but you can’t do it 100% of the time. Tillman has a good eye and shuts defenders down at good times.

If Tillman costs £5m we should pay it. He's got the potential to be very special. When played as a number 10 his movement is all over the place - He’s over on the left, the right, running beyond defenders, very hard to pick up. He’s fantastic in the air. He knows how to score goals. He has the potential to be one of the best in the country.

Every player underperformed and looked uninterested under GVB.

Tillman to me is an absolute no brainier. He has great physicality and probably more technical ability that anyone we’ve seen in a rangers shirt for well over a decade. He puts in much more of a shift than people make out I feel like he gets the Ozil treatment because of the way he runs about and looks people assume he’s lacking effort but in reality he puts in more of a shift than most of the players. Would much rather that than people running about like headless chickens i. e. Sakala. I think he’s an absolute star in the making and if we can get him tied down to a long deal then it’s an absolute no brainier. Look at the PSV and USG games we probably wouldn’t even have got into the champions league without him so that’s his fee paid over 3x if it is 5 mil. You don’t get into the Bayern champions league winning squad for no reason and from what I’ve seen I have total faith in him. Tie him down long term get a good year or 2 out him then sell him for mega bucks that should be the plan.

Verdant ?? great post, Tilman is the most talented player at the club IMO makes things look so easy, All the points you mention are spot on, and add johns stat on top of that he makes it even better! Signing Tilman should be priority no1 imo.

Hopefully if we sign Tilman then we will talk about him the way we do about Baxter but he will never be the next Jim Baxter. He was unique and for those of us that had the pleasure of watching him play for Rangers there will only ever be one Jim Baxter! I will be very happy if Tilman comes close!
