Heard Kent and Alfredo to sign new deals, I really hope we don't pay them the rumoured figures especially 45 k for Alfredo. I know these figures can be made up with signing on fees etc. I just feel Alfredo's times about up. Seems lazy these days, he doesn't bully defenders like he used to and spends most of his time on the deck looking for fouls usually leaving him in off side positions. Also think tavernier has lost a yard of pace has terrific stats however I'd imagine when any club watches him and see some of his calamities like yesterday they get put off. He never seems to learn. On a positive the team performance was better than what they mustered up under gio.

Get them both signed Alfredo 45k a week for the next few months then sell in the summer for a good profit is far better than paying 35k for the next few months and he walks for free.

Everyone knows I love ?Morelos? but I’ve felt for a while that he is holding the team back with our over reliance on him ( even when he has recently been playing through the pain barrier ) .
I also like Colak who has hit the ground running in his early Rangers career.
But I’m not sure he totally fits Beale’s system or surely he would have been risked at some point yesterday?

No one at ibrox should be getting 45k a week nowhere near it but I don’t know what kent is on just now and the reported that Alfredo is on anything between 30-35k what do we get them to stay Beale likes both of them and wants them to stay. We need atleast 1 CM maybe 2 depending on any one leaving.

Jack is done IMO
Davis done IMO
Kamara could be sold
Arfield I would give another year contract as he is good to bring on as a squad player.

I wouldn't give either anymore than they are on at the minute Walter. Both are on handsome sums of money already. I doubt either of them are good enough to play week in and week out in any top league so offer them terms that suits the club and if they knock them back let them go play on the English championship or Turkey or likes.

Funny because I remember the exact opposite he had lost form under Gerrard and wasn't performing as he was having to do more team work gio came in and pushed h forward into box and he regained form but got injured. And that's what led to his current form his injury and weight gain while injured.

Storm, wouldn’t say Jack is done. He was snapping into tackles yesterday when he came in and has been decent in recent games. Problem with him is staying injury free long term. He’s possibly worth another year unless of course we can sign or bring through better. Lowry, McCann etc need a pathway to regular first team.

It is all about opinions and personally I would be delighted to see both Kent and Morelos sign new contracts. Having watched yesterday's game again I do not believe that Morelos had a bad game. Yes his cross field pass to Tav was short but Tav was very slow to move for the ball and had he got there then it would have set up a significant attack. Had Colak being playing it wouldn't have happened because Colak would not have been back in midfield fighting for the ball.
As for Kent, he is still the best football player we have, (Just my opinion of course) . If both leave we will need to replace them with players that are at least as good. Given that we need to also replace McGregor, Davis, Sands, Helander, arguably Roofe, Jack and possibly Arfield, that is a tall order, and that is before we bring in anyone else.
To compete with Celtic we need a squad, all capable of playing in the first eleven and all better than what is across the City. They showed yesterday that even without their top players they could still compete. We struggled when our subs came on!

He's been the size and shape he's been since 6 months into gerrards reign, that's never going to change. Still easily plays most minutes of each game he's in.

In terms of a player's wages I don't have a problem with £45k a week or, for that matter £50k or £60k, so long as the player merits that sort of wage and as John has highlighted, it includes win bonuses for winning leagues, cups and progress in Europe. Indeed I would love to have a team of players earning that sort of money as a result of us consistently winning the league, cups and progressing in Europe.

Say what you want about Kent but for me he always gives 100% and never ever hides. No brainer for me to get him a new deal.
Alfie is another story. Love the guy but his time is up. Get rid in the summer and thank him for his service.

Kent is one of the best wide players at the club. He's worth a new contract if he can get him to sign it.

Morelos is the highest paid player at the club, is he not? The guy is on big money. He’s the only proper CF we have, but surely we can get better. Morelos lacks composure in front of goal and he’s never going to be the decisive finisher we want. He’ll always miss chances and a source of frustration. If he stayed in it should be on reduced terms IMO and he’s never going to accept that. I think It's inevitable we will part ways with Morelos.

As for the rest of the guys who are out of contract I’d be happy if they all went. Some on here are saying ‘he can do a job off the bench’ about some of them - The manager said only yesterday we don’t need squad players. We need to improve the starting eleven. Plus, the squad simply needs a refresh and has done since Gerrard was here.

If Rangers release Helander, McGregor, Jack, Davis, Arfield, Morelos, etc. that’s probably £100k/ week off the wage bill. Rangers can go and secure 3-4 new players for next season with that. Guys who are good enough to come in and improve the first-steam. guys who are younger with potential for resale value. If we don’t, we’re kicking the can down the road and need to address it again at the end of the 2024 season.

I hope both Morelos and Kent signs Alphie played ok yesterday yes he was at fault for their first goal with a slack pass but he isn’t the first or last player who has done it and I thought Tav should have stopped it, our manager has said he is carrying an injury and was a doubt for the game but he still played I thought Kent was very good so I’d welcome them both on extended deals.

Ryan Jack is only 31 and seems to be getting flung under the bus after one short sub's appearance after most of us wanted him to start the game. How fickle are Rangers fans? Even saw Wright getting blamed by a poster for their second goal when a clearance hit him and fell to Kyogo. Any sensible person could see that there was no way he could have done anything about it. Out of interest how does anyone know Kent was on 50k a week last year? I’ve seen the same info as a lot of others saying Morelos on 33 and Kent 18k. Not claiming that’s accurate because I take it with a pinch of salt anyone claiming to know any players private information such as salary but 18k and 50k massive difference. Even with bonuses etc surely 50k week way out of rangers ball park?
