The guy has just lost 1000 pounds.

I hope so Storm. Appointing McInnes would show absolutely no ambition by Bennett and Bisgrove and I can't see the support being happy with such a poor appointment.

These markets are novelty markets there's absolutely no chance the bookies accept a bet of 1000 pounds. If be some miracle it was accepted McIness would be a very short favourite now.

just as a lifelong gambler, often serious, i can say you would be very hard pressed indeed walk into any bookies and place a large bet like this on a subject such as this, mainly for the reasons that mcinnes entire family and friends could walk in and empty the bookies out, they have safeguarding against this. such as offering you £30 instead of 1k, or giving you odds that make your bet not worth the effort, don't even think you would get that sort of bet online without questions being asked and major changes made,

What the bookies used to do with me Tom when I was placing large sums on a (guaranteed) double or treble (lol) they would give me the odds in question to a maximum of let’s say £300 if I’m betting a grand then would offer lesser odds for the remaining money.

when any bookmakers is approached by a guy with a large amount on something like this stevie, a bet where you would only conceivably risk if you knew something about it, , nobody in they're right mind would throw money like this when they're bet may not even be a possibility would they, no, only a person who knows something would, and that instantly raises the eyebrows of the bookies security people who are very very difficult to trick.

McInnes is a solid coach, and has huge insight. Sure he is cautious but he’ll set out any team to be hard to play against.

Whoever gets the job will have the same problems as any of the recent guys - quality of players. Serious investment needed in a playmaker and a striker, or this squad will still come second.

Look at the poor response to the vacancy just now - and that tells you everything about doubts folk have about coming to Scotland. The best option is to find a diamond who sees the job as a career-making stage. Look no further than Spurs. Picking up a guy like AP may not be an easy task, but that’s what the board are for.

Is there a succession plan at all at Ibrox? Succession of management, succession of key players - no evidence of forethought.
I’d like to see McInnes on the short list- safe hands. As for other candidates - find a diamond with ambition.

How do you work out there has ben a poor response up to now? You talk as if we have lots of knock backs when we are actually just going through the process . We will need a striker and maybe a winger in January. Playmakers? we have Lawrence, Cantwell and Hagi and Lowry can come back . Strikers to finish all the chances we are missing is what we will need first.

Think we need an experienced centre mid as well mate, dare I say I tv in the mould of Steven davis.

I feel we’re short in midfield.

Problem with McInnis style is with his team the onus isn't on his team 5o win rangers have to win we can't pack out defense and midfield we are the ones who have to score.

StevieG2 I certainly think we need improving in that area but there is a limit to what we can do in one window . We currently have Lundstram, Jack, Cifuentes and Raskin. Lundstram is a bit marmite for some people but he is doing the job at the moment, Raskin has shown he is decent and we need to wait to see if Cifuentes settles. Jack should have been replaced in the summer and he surely won`t get another deal next summer . Lundstram too may leave then so there will be space. If we could do something in January though it would certainly not do any harm and maybe we should get to see what Rice and McKinnon can do.

I see where your coming from wslgers.

We need to get the right person that’s for sure.

Cifuentes and raskin would likely be 2 from 3 so we need 1 more.
It had to be the right person, hard to find in January, for me a British mf would be best, someone with experience late 20s early 30s.

I’d be tryna find someone who’s contract is up in the summer and try get them on the cheap in January.

Easier said than done I know.
