I have finally accepted that the Rangers I grew up with has died. Today was the final straw. As a loyal, every game fan for over 25 years, I hate to say but I was hoping for an Alloa equaliser today as, unless we are shamed on the park (we are shamed in the boardroom every other day) nothing will change. We had a great opportunity to build a team, a style of play but we did nothing except short term measures. We needed a coach not a manager, someone who could spot, nurture & develop talent as opposed to someone who would indulge in easy short-term planning measures which only hurt the club. I am so disillusioned with this once great Club.

I totally agree pal but only yesterday on this same site I was more or less accused of being a trator just be caused I said my piece about McCoist and mccleod and that I'd have been happy to take a draw of defeat today this is not even the rangers spirit of the worst times in es past never mind the rangers spirit of the club I grew up supporting not even a shadow of it and McCoist is a major part of the problem

2.) 16 Nov 2014
@1 Defeat, or drawing at home to Alloa is never acceptable, nor did I learn anything more of McCoists ineptitude than before that disgrace. Your post has the old "see, I told you so" about it, which helps no one.

3.) 16 Nov 2014
I was a season ticket holder for 10 years, but gave up this year, as had seen enough on McCoist and his
1) Lack of tactics
2) Lack of motivation
3) Lack of giving youth a chance
4) Mates given game after game
5)Players played out of position
At any other club if you don't perform you get dropped, you start to lose your pace you get dropped. He has put our youth players out and I quote " To get game time" haven't most of them been with us whilst we were in the 3rd and 2nd Divisions when we were playing part timers and could have been given game time. We have no money, and he speaks of bringing in more recruits in January what planet is he on. The man in no longer a legend in my eyes he is a leg end and must GO NOW.

As long as macoist is at ibrox the standard of of play will remmain dire he is as much use as a chocolate firegaurd instead of berating asley everyone should turn their attention to macoist because until he goes there will be no betterness

5.) 16 Nov 2014
Its not the managers job to spot talent we don't have a scouting system the next Gazza could be playing 10 miles up the road we wouldn't know hence the old trusted players back at Ibrox i'm not on here defendinkack and Law can't play together g our manager far from it that result yesterday was horrendous buy we must look at what's going on upstairs also you have to look at some of the players Templeton hasn't kicked a ball for us Boyd is murder Black and Law can't play together there is no pace but we have very few good young players coming through as we have no scouting system to find them we haven't paid a transfer fee since Templeton the team is full of run of the mill players who came on free transfers so changing the manager costs money and we don't have any £70 mill gone where???? threat of job cuts turmoil in the boardroom its got to affect players moral is low at this club and until we get the boardroom sorted out nothing will change no investment look at stadium looks old and tired just like the team so i'm not the biggest fan of Ally as a manager but let's look upstairs at the same time

{Ed001's Note - sorry but it is the manager's job to spot talent. The best managers use their scouts to identify potential for them to check out, even if it is only via video footage, before they consider signing them.}

1-1 draw with Alloa and you jump onto the band wagon of the people who don't like us by saying you eventually agree we're not the same team disgraceful, by all means slate the manager the team after poor performance & result but not the same Rangers disgraceful response.

6, I agree with you m8, shocking post, so if we had won 6_0 we would still be the same club ? We are Rangers, can't you read op. ? Look on the gates of Ibrox park ? It says RANGERS ! We may be s**** with a poor excuse for a manager but our fans still follow Rangers, get a grip b4 posting such comments, let the rest of us support our club

@6 & 7 well said,

@7. I respect your right to believe that it is the same club it's just a shame that you use the gates as an example. The gates are the very proof that there is no difference between club and company and therefore that the club founded in 1872 is dead.

Ed you post a reply saying "good managers use their scouts to identify potential " that is my point we don't have any scouts a club our size should have a system watching players right across Europe it was going to be Nerlinger but board said it was to costly I am not making excusses for Ally some of his result have been shocking and Saturday just added to them but we need to look upstairs the money we have spent is outrageous and a team full of free transfers players past it also when are these players going to be held to account for their displays from top to bottom our club has lost its way and changes in all departments is needed but the money is gone

{Ed001's Note - then Ally should be talking to his contacts within the game who could suggest possible targets for him to watch. Agents are always happy to bring to light any players they represent who could be good enough as well. Other than that, he could get off his arse and go out and look for them like other managers do in the lower leagues, who have nothing like his enormous salary for doing bugger all. Sorry but there is no excuse for him and his pathetic attempts at management. When you are in the lower leagues you have to do more yourself, tough, it might do him some good to go out and about watching games and seeing how football is actually played instead of the dross he produces with his teams. It matters not how 'big' your club is, the facts are that you have been playing in part time leagues for 3 seasons now, yet he has still not bothered to try and learn how to manage without a chequebook and full time players. He should try becoming a real manager, earn his ridiculous salary for a change.}

As many will vouch for, I have come on here often and urged people to get behind Ally. The time for that has come and gone. Not even in the darkest of dark nights under 'The Frenchman" did I call for a manager to step down but the time has come. Ally, for the good of the club you clearly love, for the good of the team, for the sake of the support PLEASE do the decent thing and leave your post. Go upstairs into PR or some such, there will always be a job at Ibrox for you. Your time has come Ally, it won't be walking away, it's for the best for the team. It has to be done Ally, please do the right thing

Ed001

Great post mate and can't argue with any of that. Sums up the ridiculous situation since McCoist took charge. 3 highly paid coaches in himself, McDowall and Durrant yet none seem capable or willing to get their hands dirty and start running the football side of the business properly. All 3 had good careers and should have plenty of contacts but yet nothing seems to happen. Have to wonder who recommended Peralta to Rangers who is shocking to say the least
