Gkk has just said on a previous post about some great game's and great memories that made the hair's on the back of his neck stand up and it got me thinking about what my great memories are. After a good wee think I'm plumping for the night we beat Dynamo Kiev 2. 0 at Ibrox in the European cup, I was standing in the west enclosure that night and can remember no one wanted to leave the stadium that night, young kids to grown men were crying, what a feeling. anyone else care to share their great memories.

{Ed039's Note - Mo Edu scoring in the last minute against Celtic for me, I was in the East Enclosure and the place went mental and this isnt a dig at the anyone who sits or has sat there but the EE isnt the most vibrant of atmospheres in last 10 years)

Got to be 73 cup final when Forsyth scored, although I didn't see the ball going in because it erupted when the ball rolled across the line LOL or Juve 2-0 when Ibrox was being built(as is)I cried like a baby.

I don't know if anything can beat 2-0 Aberdeen at home to win the league hard to pick there's been a few for me 6-1 Dunfermline to win the league. Leeds in 92 but first ones my top one I reckon

Lee mccullochs equalizer against Celtic in the 90 minutie 2 minutes after they had scored

4.) 14 Dec 2014
I flew up from London the morning of the 2-2 Butcher/woods/mcavennie sending off game, I had no ticket, got in a fight with one of the leave early brigade, managed to get a ticket stub and blagged my way in at half time. the roar the moment the equaliser went in is for me the loudest I have ever heard in 50 years seeing RFC that plus the Roberts Choir Conducting was awesome, I was at the Davie Cooper Goal match so that and Sandy Jardine's goal, the 6-1 Arteta league win last game, the 3-0 in 9 mins and the helicopter Sunday Hibs 1-0 and mcdonald scoring 2 v celtic. those my highlights. . george

Gc1981. that game with the hateley double, I was actually at Torquay v York that day, the game started a bit later because a York player had died the week before so there was a minute's silence, when it came through on someone's radio that Rangers had won the league I let out one massive roar, not only were fans a bit bemused but both the Torquay & York players were looking over at me wondering what was going on as I was going mental, I always wore a Rangers top when I went to any English games (still do)so people realised we were champions, I became a wee bit of a celebrity that day at plainmoor

The Battle of Britain games against Leeds were really something special

7.) 14 Dec 2014
Gkk, I agree on both of your games and would add the 3-1 win against Dundee in 1963, but Kai's winner v Celtic in the Wednesday cup final replay is etched in my mind.

It's got to be the goal by scott McDonald against celtic scored late on that allowed our draw with hibs to be enough to win us the league in 2005,

{Ed039's Note - We beat Hibs 1-0, Novo scored the only goal)

4-4 against Celtic in 86 when I lost my voice for following 3 days! But will never forget the final day against St. mirren in 87 when Souness gave us first league after think it was 9 years of trying. Got crushed at front of old enclosure then got thrown on track and ended up in centre circle with everyone else in tears! Special memories.
In tears now but for wrong reasons. . come on Rangers let's be great again!

Ed thanks for the correction, if I remember hibs could not afford a big goal difference as that would have stopped them from getting into Europe that year, it's wee bits like this testing my memory that let's me know ime getting older lol

{Ed039's Note - Last 20 minutes was just played out, nothing happened at all, ball just moving along with back 4 and nobody really commiting to anything, I think it was a scoreline that suited both sides so I think you might be right on the goal difference thing)

Thanks all for sharing your memories, it was great reading your post's and in everyone of them I've had a great wee trip down memory lane, that's why I'm proud to be a Ranger, and to the who have ripped our great club apart you cannot take these memories from me or the thousand's of other bears, and long after you have gone we will create more and more wonderful memories for generation's of Bluenoses to come.

@9 CypriotGer, I'm with you, the 4-4 draw with Celtic at Ibrox. Amazing game and will live long in my memory.
