Well we now know that Steve Clarke will not be our next manager with appointment at Reading, with that in mind I hope that none of the 1st four in the bookies betting (Davies, McCall, Butcher, or Gattuso )are the men to take us forward, all to much like what we have at the moment, surely there are better qualified candidates out there that could get the best out of our 53 squad players and ship the rest. I read on here the other day someone suggest Eddie Howe of Bournemouth, what a great shout but whether he would give up the chance of taking them to the premiership is another matter, hopefully the muddy waters will become a little clearer after Allys meeting with the board today I fear if Ally does stay that even promotion through the playoffs will be beyond us.

Eddie howe is a very good manager, as Well as Karl Robinson although both have jobs and not rangers men so most of the fans would dismiss them anyway lol. We will and up with lee mcculloch as boss.

Hi soton bear, that was my shout, think he would do a great job. he operates in that market that we find ourselves in just now, and knows if he develops the players / club then there is no limit for himself or the club in the future. also got a feeling we wouldn't have to pay him 800 000 a year for his services. why not try something new, which we should have done 3 years ago ( but that's another story ) only snag would be compensation, but who knows if that would be a problem to ashley or who ever may be pulling the strings just now or the future!!

Another stumbling block with young Eddie Howe would be wages even at a small club like Bournemouth he is on 750,000 a year has signed a three and a half year contract + they paid Burnley 1.4m in compensation. i'm afraid to rich for us unfortunately. Also please God not Jig.

Gordon Ramsay all the way! At least for the post match interviews!

5.) 17 Dec 2014

7.) 17 Dec 2014
By the looks of things in the media it will be billy davis and as ihave posted if given a choice I would not want him but if he gets the job I would give him a chance whch anyone apponted deserves

Someone with no connection for me come in and sort out the squad with no loyalty to the present squads defo not bobby Williamson for me!i agree sm not keen in billy Davies but he's in the running so if given the job he deserves the chance of all the fans but I woujd rather the opted for someone else!

Whats the point anymore? The clubs in the grips of greed. There is no investment coming, the TV money is being witheld, the club are puting out stupid statements mis-spelling the managers name and using the stock exchange statements to direct anger away from them on to McCoist. We are even less compliant than ever to rules and regulations. The stadium is empty for home games. We will sell our best players in January, the money will pay offer loans to Ashley and debts. We will have manager come in and be told what team to pick. This board don't want a manager they want a puppet. Wake up and smell the coffee fellow fans, stop glamouring in the past this club is not the one we grew up supporting is a very poorly managed tribute. I would rather the whole thing fold than see the name and history tarnished further. We are the embaressment of world football.

11.) 17 Dec 2014
Billy Davis not for me I would like someone in the Souness mould come in and kick some arses as this team should be hanging their heads in shame with some of their displays also someone who will stand up to the board so no ex players for me and I truly hope Ally does not stay quiet we the fans deserve to know what is going on behind the scenes

{Ed039's Note - The current regime would not let Souness anywhere near, and he would not work with them in the first place)

12.) 17 Dec 2014
I personally would throw the job open to all applicants just to see who would be interested. It's obvious the ex-players route should probably be abandoned but as NothingButThe Struth says we don't want a yes-man to the board!

13.) 17 Dec 2014
I don't know why we all going on about who the future manager should be as we are stuck with Ally and nothing will change, we have no money, no future, no investors and soon no team or fans
Be honest if your had a career as a football manager would you leave a club to go to Rangers

Souness walked out on is once before anyway!as the ed says he wouldn't come anywhere near it

15.) 17 Dec 2014
Your right Cooperboy we need a manager that is going to kick a few arses and not be playing players just as an old pals act!! Also been reading reports about Karl Robinson the MK Dons manager giving youth a chance, working on low budgets and most importantly for me is he likes to play football the proper way, fast attacking football played on the ground, just the same as Ally then!! what does anyone think?

{Ed039's Note - The problem with manager like Karl Robinson is that they are in a job and compensation would need to be paid for gaffers who have a job)

16.) 17 Dec 2014
Id rather have Ian holloway than billy Davies
