Back towards reality- anyone else think we don't need another striker but could really do with another central defender?

Both.

They are a necessity, not just "ideally". We have countless cover for the flanks and the midfield.

Not one positive signing in straight out attack, since Dodoo is a winger. And not one positive signing in defence apart from Clint Hill.

Those are the areas we needed serious improvement in, defended poorly last season at times and weren't ruthless enough with our chances.

In other words, a CB and a ST is a must. And then we'll be fine.

I would agree with that. I reckon that our current strikers and attacking midfield players will score goals but I do have a real concern that we need a top quality centre back.

I'm with you on that one. A solid defender would be my next signing.
