My team for Saturday would be:

Fod

Wilson Hill Kiernan

Tav Wallace

Rossiter Barton

Waggy McKay
Dodoo


Just in case the formation isn't clear in the post it 3 CB, 2 wing backs, 2 CM and the 3 upfront with Dodoo slightly more advanced.

Think that gives our defense the cover it needs while giving us numbers in midfield when we're on the front foot.

In my formation Tav and Wallace basically become part of the midfield when on the attack and part of the defense when on the back foot.

MW says he doesn't have a guaranteed starting eleven. You'd say at the moment there's a lot of players who's positions are almost certain.

The back five will be the same as last season.

Foderingham, Tavernier, Wilson, Keirnan, Wallace.

Kranjcar, Barton are certain to start in midfield. I'd say Halliday will play in midfield if Windass is injured.

Up front, Waghorn and McKay are certainties. You'd think it'll be Forrester on the right. Doubt he'll start O'Halloran or Dodoo.

So essentially only two places up for grabs and only two new signings starting.

Think we all kind of thought we'd have a new CB by now but I'm sure we'll get one soon.

This is team I reckon MW will start with. Don't agree with it, however, I think he will be loyal to last seasons starters with exception of Barton and Niko. It's their jerseys to lose on flag raising day. I expect Windass once fit to replace Halliday and Miller will drop out for new CF or Dodo. Also Kiernan to drop out for new CB or Crooks.

I think Rossiter is more of a certainty that Kranjcar at this stage Thorn, once Crooks and Windass are back in contention then Kranjcar might not be certain at all. Still has to prove his fitness for me over the course of a competitive game and succession of games.

niko I think with his fitness levels should be a super sub so i'd play barton halliday and windass then swap whoever is playing the least impressive on the 60 min mark.
