Said on here numerous times we badly miss the wee man who links everything from middle to front for us, wee jason holt (the linkman), this wee guy is like a wasp, he's everywhere and just never stops working when fit he'd NEVER be out our starting 11,as far as I'm concerned, the best 65k we've ever spent, hurry back from injury wee man!

W15 I think it will be difficult for holt to get into starting 11. I think the midfield 3 will be rossiter barton kranjcar not saying I agree with the 3 but I really can't see kranjcar and barton not starting when fit. Rossiter is a certain starter and rightly so.

Agree with Hooly I can't see where he gets a start and when Crooks and Windass are fit he could be even further down the pecking order.

I'm with Warburton the fifteenth on this one. I think though Barton, Kranjcar and Rossitor are all class none of them offers what wee Holty offers which is the ability to run in behind and arrive case the ball arrives and invariably scores. I think Holty with Kranjcar and either Barton or Rossitor will speed up the passing and movement and have a better balance. Sometimes putting all your best players in doesn't necessarily make the best team! and that's what we are searching for. But the gaffer will know his best team.

Nah Holt over Kranjcar any day of the week. Double the work rate and all over the park. Kranjcar is a luxury player but would definitely bring him on to make an impact just like he did on Saturday against Motherwell.

Agree w15, I posted a couple of weeks back when nobody was mentioning Wee holty for their best eleven, I couldn't believe it after how brilliant he was last year, like you say our missing link, been plainly obvious how much we miss him in my eyes! Hopefully he is still in first team plans when fit or I'll be scratching my head.

ive always said i'd have him in my starting 11 when fit.

windass I think is similar but we can't just say barton and niko are starters just because their namesake.

holt is a workhorse and aswell as creating a lot he closes down high up the pitch and works hard to get the ball back the boy never stops running.

like I've said a million times barton and niko should be played as teams tire as for me they don't have the pace hunger or energy that the likes of holt and forrester have.

Holt faces same situation as he did a year ago- after promotion his club have signed players for his position and he's going to struggle for game time.

We won't see the same players in the team week in week out and until he is fully match fit I doubt that Krancjar will start games. Certainly, for me, Holt should play well ahead of Halliday. Holt gets through a lot of work and like Alex MacDonald and others he doesn't get the level of respect that he warrants. There are games where we might need to play with an extra midfield player and Holt would be a logical inclusion in these games.
