Well great result against st Johnstone we still look a bit exposed on the flanks at times but defence is getting better slowly, my opinion is Windass has had his chance he just doesn't do enough to warrant a position in the starting line up I think we should give Holt a chance instead of Windass when jack is back as that would help us retain the ball better in midfield and Holt is OK going forward, lastly pena is never a centre mid but is forming a nice striking partnership with Morelos and is quite clinical in the number ten role if he just cleans up. a few of the glaring mistakes he makes we might end up with a useful player, so all in all things are looking up.

Windass is a bit hit and miss but i wouldn't have Holt in place of him, no way. as for Pena he's a weird one, probably capable of scoring 20 goals a season but can't pass the ball 10 yards, 1st touch is a tackle and gets caught in possession everytime he recieves the ball.

Well SG I do agree a lot of the time Pena's first touch is terrible he really needs to work on that and I guess if he can get 20 goals this season he might be living up somewhat to his valuation but for the life of me I can't see what you see in Windass sure the kid has some ability but he's lazy and drifts out of games give me Holt every time over Windass I just think he's a better player and offers the side so much more.

Wingash needs to be warming the bench for a few games. Moves break down nearly every time he touches the ball. I know he's not a lw but he tries to cut inside as soon as he touches the ball. Way too predictable.

Windass needs to warm the bench for a good few games and I think we have a replacement for him when Wallace is fit. Keep Wallace at left back and push John into the left midfield role as I think Waldo and John would make a good left hand side . Pena baffles me as his touch is not the best but the lad seems to be banging in a few goals as as a previous post says I'd give him a run in the number 10 as he may bang us in 15-20 goals this season. On Friday I noticed our back four taking no risks as when the ball was in and around the box it was either hoofed up the park or out the park when the slight bit of trouble was there. St Johnston is a tricky place to go but we came out it untouched but let's see how we combat Motherwell on Sunday and the threat of Moult who I think we should've signed this season.

We might need to wait till Jan to bring someone in or wait til Wallace is back and move John in there but definitely not Holt as i don't even think he's good enuf to get a start in his normal pos never mind sticking him out on the left wing

Agree with you about Holt, Larkyin Oz. He may have less natural ability than Windass and because he's only wee he finds it hard to win some of the 50/ 50 balls but what he doesn't lack is effort, determination and grit. For example who laid on the pass from which Dorrans dispatched in fine style in the 86th minute (by which time Windass had long since disappeared from the game)

Negri was a striker bigsam, his job was to score. Pena is a number 10, CAM if you like so link up play is very important therfore passing is a must. Two different positions that can't be compared. However if he gets 20 goals a season then who would complain. Strange one so he is.

I know he couldn't bigsam, i don't really see what your point was with that post to b honest. if you're trying to compare him to Pena then i don't quite know were to start with that. Penas playing as an att mid were his job is to create chances as well as get bak in and help the 2 CMs and be good in possession. Negri was an out and out striker 🤔.

Cant compare anyone to negri, ever. Even if there is a fire. Shame mccoist spat the dummy out about him going to break his goals in a season record.
