Well tonight's game Barton strolled through it no end, Kranc just looks like he floats on air but my main positive is how good Rossiter looked in the 30mins he got! He put a tackle in and I know the opposition wasn't the best but he showed great urgency and he knows how to play a pass and also the most important thing he plays the right pass! Can't wait to see this lad get a full 90mins I think this boy is a steal at £250k.

1.) 25 Jul 2016 21:51:31
Wilson/ Keirnan looked as comfortable as ever with Barton in front.

Our Joey strolled it tonight. He'll stroll most games up here but his quality is there for everyone to see.

Can't wait for Hamilton.

2.) 25 Jul 2016 22:01:57
Guys really think we need to get a grip on reality. We had over 20 shots on goal and only scored 3, 1 of them a penalty. Barton was not impressive for me, he plays more sideways passes than Barry Ferguson did, . McKay? Why does he put the brakes on when he goes past even poor defenders. For me a lot of huffing and puffing to no great effect against a very poor team member
Let's hope it gets better soon?

3.) 25 Jul 2016 22:47:12
I don't want a grip on whatever reality your on bil72! The guys above are right Barton added a lot of protection to the cb's which was previously missing, rossiter likewise! Mckay wasn't as good as previous couple of games but forester more than made up for that with his energetic clever play, tavs delivery into the box was also very good.

A lot of positives to be taken even if it was against weaker opposition! We still have to go out and break these teams down.

4.) 25 Jul 2016 22:53:27

Can only beat what's in front of you! Barton and kranjkaer didn't need to come out first gear and still strolled it. I thought Barton was mom to be honest, hate guys like you, no matter what happens you'll never be happy.

5.) 25 Jul 2016 22:57:51
Bloody hell! I thought the team played well tonight and hardly had to get out of first gear. Remember most of these guys are finding their feet. As the old saying goes - you can please some of the people etc etc. But yes the lad Rossiter looks a steal. We are looking good, dare I say it!

6.) 25 Jul 2016 23:03:37
I thought Barry McKay bossed the whole game till he was taken of Fun!

7.) 25 Jul 2016 23:33:57
I was at game and thought Barton was a bit off the pace too, Mckay is great to watch and hope he goes from strenth to strenth. Stranraer are very average and the test will be when the league starts, lots of chances and ahould have had more goals but that'll come as game go on. Barton will be better as games go on too but all in all decent win! Moan the gers.

8.) 25 Jul 2016 23:46:29
Jordan Rossiter is going to be some player - I did mention him a few days ago and tinight he showed a maturity beyond his years - You can see the style of Gerrard in his play and movement - Superb signing -.

9.) 26 Jul 2016 00:47:58
Pierre, you must not have been at same game I was as Barton strolled it! In first gear I may add. Broke up play when needed, kept it simple but moving, won his tackles etc he was our best player with kranjkaer I thought, but ofcourse entitled to opinions.

10.) 26 Jul 2016 01:13:13
Didn't think Barton looked match fit and a few loose passes but his class is obvious. Thought mckay was superb. Niko oozes class too. Rossiter just slotted in to Bartons position like a glove.

11.) 26 Jul 2016 05:31:56
At the game last night and thought joey barton's passing range was very good, can't agree with a couple of the above posters that didn't think barton was good last night, although still not 100% match fit he oozed class and cruised the game and our defence looked a helluva lot tighter with his presence, kranjcar looked good in phases although a wee bit to go in fitness also, barrie mckay superb, but I've always been raving about him and I'm a big fan of his.

12.) 26 Jul 2016 08:08:50
People still need to remember that this is still really pre season. A silly competition format that has stopped us playing harder competition. The team has only conceded 1 goal. And I think in total there has been 10 shots in at our goal so it says that something has improved. Keep calm bears.

13.) 26 Jul 2016 11:11:12
Thorn76, i also thought wilson had a good game, he seems good when he has experienced players round about him, but he needs to stand on hiis own two feet, as he won't always have such comfort blankets around him, imo, he is old enough to play a good game, that's why he is vunrable.

14.) 26 Jul 2016 12:55:32
got to say for me McKay should have got man of the match but niko a close second the guys class oozed out over the pitch!

for me to say barton covered our defence well is a joke as we didn't have any defending to do.

rossiter for me would have been man of the match if he had played 90 boy reminds me of a young barry ferguson which despite what bil72 (the pessimist) says barry was a great player for rangers and if rossiter has a rangers carrer like him i'd be over the moon.

15.) 26 Jul 2016 15:49:29
Thought Barton looked overweight last night though still fit enough to stroll through a game like that. Rossiter reminds me more of Roy Keane than Stevie G. Kranjcar when fully fit will be the best of all the new boys. Think the League Cup has been good for us, for the fact that instead of meaningless friendlies, these small clubs have been competitive without ever threatening us. Its let us get our match fitness up to speed.

What a pleasure it was at the game today seeing our great players of the past and more importantly seeing Fernando! He is fight personified and it brought a tear to my eye when I remember back to when his heart was in the Rangers jersey and his fight was on the pitch! Fernando keep fighting fellow Bear and I for one will always have you in my heart for the great times you fought on the pitch and more so the fight you're going through now!

1.) 25 Mar 2018 00:06:47
Totally echo your heartfelt post regarding fernando ricksen, Blackwoodbear! He's an absolute legend, warrior and fighter! It most definitely brings tears to my eyes to see fernando like this and what this terrible disease does to human beings! God bless you fernando and "KEEP FIGHTING"! All in all i thoroughly enjoyed the rangers legends return game at ibrox today! I totally commend the fantastic work our rangers charity foundation does!
There's an incredible amount of hard work goes into the work of our remarkable charity and i know 2 massive members of the rangers foundation charity well, the very hardworking connal cochrane and linda shields! I've been acquainted to them both since doing the charity sleepouts for the homeless, over the past few years! The lives our charity has changed over the years is a joy to behold! Onto the legends game itself today, which was tremendous entertainment for us all that attended! I thought the best footballer on the park today, was the fantastic pedro mendes! He pulled all the strings for ally's X1,and was one of the main reasons they beat walter's X1 8-3!Not to mention the fantastic 2nd half hat-trick of the super one, ally mccoist, normal service resumed there, eh! The game had the lot, ie. funny entertainment with wee boab from river city, grado the wrestler! Skills from our rangers players of yesteryears, mendes, mols,
ferguson, buffel, albertz, mccoist,
lovenkrands, to name a few! Although the one and only ally mccoist got today's man of the match with his 45 minute hat-trick, like i said earlier, that i thought pedro mendes was immense throughout the game with his tremendous array of passing skills, so therefore he was my own personal man of the match! Like i said earlier, he was the main reason ally's X1 won, along with ally's turning back the clock hat-trick! Tremendous day of entertainment, had by all! Another superb event by our wonderful rangers charity foundation! Thanks guys, your incredibly very hard work,
doesn't go unnoticed, i can assure you!

2.) 25 Mar 2018 15:27:48
Honestly why do some halfwits disagree with this?

3.) 26 Mar 2018 08:46:32
Great post Supercoop on the Legends and work done by the foundation.

13 Jan 2018 20:03:48
Well what do we make of that performance? 2-0 down after 45mins and that wasn't a true reflection as we had a bad 15mins ( as usual ) then come out second half and blitz it! Few positives I noticed but I shall hear others before I say!

McCrorie signs new 4 1/ 2 yr contract extension .

1.) 29 Dec 2017 13:06:33
Fantastic news, he has probably been our best player this season and one who we can build a team around. Chuffed to bits with this he will only get better and better!

2.) 29 Dec 2017 13:54:52
Hope he sorts lego boy out early doors the mora.

3.) 30 Dec 2017 00:13:01
Get in man

4.) 30 Dec 2017 00:13:59
Yes both brothers have signed deals thru 2022, excellent and very positive news.

5.) 30 Dec 2017 11:04:00
Someone please enlighten me, why is broonie called Lego man?

16 Oct 2017 17:27:50
So the Fat Cashley has put Newcastle up for sale so let's see if the deal with the Bears is as dead as we are led to believe! Did we think he still has a few strings to pull with our club?

1.) 16 Oct 2017 18:16:59
Who cares about him, there is no chance of him coming back anyway. We need to worry more about King and his plans. Remember, King and the three bears have a lot of loans with the club and they will want to push through another resolution at the AGM to allow them to convert the loans to shares. We also need more investment and I don’t think King has any appetite for us anymore, nor the required funds. Finding a new investor is a must for us.

2.) 16 Oct 2017 18:18:34
What? No.

3.) 16 Oct 2017 18:50:48
Briggsboy! I'm not caring about Cashley my comment was about let's see if the board has been truthful with all us fans surrounding Ashley and the deal been written off! I for one don't want the fat rat anywhere near my club or do I care for him one bit, but what I do care about that the current board has told us all the truth about the deal being quashed!

4.) 16 Oct 2017 19:56:21
do u think king and the three bears would let someone in the pushed so hard to get out, come on

5.) 16 Oct 2017 20:12:25
Blackwoodbear, why mention Ashley then if you don’t care about him? He has sold his shares and agreed a legal deal on the Commercial shops. Has the current board lied about anything? Stop being paranoid, that’s for the other mob.

6.) 17 Oct 2017 00:11:38
The paranoia is rippin right oot of some people on here, and all because the fat man is fed up trying to make Newcastle a force. Get a hold of yourselves People. The fat bogeyman has gone and won't be back

7.) 17 Oct 2017 07:11:09
Why would he be gone? There's money to be made, think about it

8.) 17 Oct 2017 11:22:55
I heard a wee story he wants to open a big casino in london.

9.) 17 Oct 2017 13:18:38
Slots direct

10.) 18 Oct 2017 05:24:43
That was not bad coldo 😂

10 Aug 2017 04:24:00
Was at the game tonight and to be fair it was ONLY Dunfermline but I can't say a bad word about how much every player tried! What I do have to say is watch the Rossiter interview on Rangers TV and see how much this lad is up for it! He admits he's been injured but just look how hyped up he is and explains how good team moral is! Surely this shall put to bed the nae sayers surrounding our dressing room! Every player tonight showed a bit of hunger and I said it was only Dunfermline but we can only play what's in front of us!

1.) 10 Aug 2017 08:50:16
Rossiter played well barely misplaced a pass if even one sat in recieved ball spread play. Class only 21 him and jack similar and both can do a great job this season.

If McInnes becomes our next manager the season book I've held for nearly 33 yrs won't be renewed! He got offered the chance to manage my great club and refused to stay with the sheep! And as a previous poster commented " he can take his face for a sh**e "!

Right we have this rubbish at home better away mentality so let's get down to the crux of it . We mostly play the same 11 away as we do at home so don't we all think as fans that maybe at home the fans are way more demanding than we are away? I go to both home and away games when work permits and find when we're away our fans are more inline with cheering and singing for 90mins whereas at home some fans ( and trust me I've had many a word with some sitting around my seat ) tend to get on the teams case if we're 20mins in and ain't scored? I as a season book holder for 22 yrs has seen the good, the bad and also the forgettable and just find that at Ibrox we add extra pressure to the team than the fans that travel . Just my opinion but I sit and shake my head at some comments and conversations around my seat!

Eh . we've got a manager that's doing quite well on the budget he has in my book so Frank I appreciate that you want to manage my great club but for now I'm more than happy with Murts .

As I'm led to believe and this comes from a Park family member it was Graeme Park and Douglas that pushed Pedro forward and even paid his release clause ( which was a few months early ) and paid his wages until it went tits up and landed with our great club paying him off! As I work with a former Rangers defender ( that signed for Liverpool but had to retire at 24 due to injury I'll let you work it out ) he has spoken with the club doc and other memebers of the backroom and he also says that Murty hasn't got respect from the team as they still call him Murts or whatever! He also says the Miller/ Wallacething is blown outta proportion as there was more than these two voicing concern about the direction they had during the ill fated semi final but have been made to look like scapegoats to ease a wage or two

Tav Alves Bates Wallace
Doc Holt
Candeias Windass Miller

No hiding the fact we can't change the team drastically as no matter how much we want to win the league in all honesty this is our best chance of silverware! I as much as my other loyal fellow bears dream of the league it maybe a season too soon ( I so hope that statement gets thrown back in my face come season end ) we need to see off Falkirk firstly and then the road to cup glory is only two matches away!
