Interesting to hear Couillaby is a defensive type midfielder who would break up play. We have Mccorie, Jack, Couillaby and maybe even Rossiter playing for that holding type role.

Who will be in rangers midfield? How many will play in midfield?

Ejaria, coulibaly and Arfield will be our midfield 3 unless Davis signs. Mccorrie will be backup as for jack and Dorrans not good enough. Rossiter is always injured unfortunately.

I'd say Coulibaly is more a box to box midfielder than defensive, maybe in a similar vein to Stuart McCall.

That's the reason he wasn't getting a game at Angers, the guy he was bought to replace was a sitting midfielder and the manager didn't want someone who actually got forward sometimes, it caused some drama and he was pretty much left out in the cold.

Since I know nothing of coulibaly or Ejaria, I can only go on what I do know, that is that McCrorie brings energy, dig and passion, he loves a tackle and likes getting on the ball so for me I want him in CDM. I know nothing of the 2 loanees so I can't comment on them but if you play Candeias RM Arfield CM Ejaria or Coulibaly CM, Murphy LM and MCCRORIE DCM I reckon that should be a pretty decent midfield, depends what system he goes with I suppose.

Jordy if you seen game last Friday you’d have noticed formation was 4-3-3 with Mcrorie - candieas and Arfield as midfield 3, candieas isn’t a natural I’m that position so I can see him falling out, for Coulibaly not Ejaria
Front three was Murphy windass and Morelos, morelos will be main striker, not really sure which part of front three Sadiq plays but guessing he will get game time at expense of possibly Murphy

If we get a winger then Candeias will only be a back up player. If we are to genuinely challenge Celtic then we need better than him in our starting line up

Aye Kenny I did watch it, as I say it's just because I don't really know much about the 2 guys, either way I am excited about the new season. And 4-3-3 would be bold, i like it.

Just my opinion, Jack is too indisciplined, definite talent and a good player, however I think he is too much of a liability and can land us in trouble in big games with this, he’s a backup player for me, not a first pick.

Understand what you're saying F-U,
but i do honestly think that gerrard wants coulibaly to be a disciplined,
defensive, play breaking, midfielder mate! Gerrard has indicated as much!
We have an abundance of other midfielders, who will be capable of doing the job, that you think coulibaly was brought to do! that's my take on it mate!
