Thee average Brit has spent a few man years in Spain etc. On holidays yet don't have any more than - Ola to say. So why should Alfie get pressurised? The Barcelona Bears Lisbon Lions or Gottenberg glaticos had no lingo either yet they brought home the sliver!

Not knowing the native language while on holiday is only a small problem, but living and working in a foreign country is a whole different kettle of fish.

I really think we shoukd leave the guy to get on with it. People criticising not only his footballing skills but also calling into question his communication skills (or lack of) . He is only young and still learning and the last thing we want to do is drive him out of the club, picking up a pittance of a transfer fee in the process. Leave him to fulfil his potential and grab a huge fee when he does eventually go. Leave the jibes and taunts to the other lot.

Seeker, they're not jibes and taunts but rather sound advice. A great article written by Fernando Torres a couple of years ago about how he learned English at Liverpool. Communication is vital among team mates and coaches. I want a Rangers player to be the best he can and if it takes hard work to speak the language of the team, do it.
