Matt Polster has been offered a deal according to the record.

Marco C

1.) 18 Jan 2019 06:06:07
Matt polster is a similar styled midfielder to fernandinho of man city! If he's an eighth as good as him, that will do me. 😉.

2.) 18 Jan 2019 07:59:36
polster can also play in defence coop - my brother in law is a football coach in Chicago and has seen a fair bit of the lad said he’s decent but obv not a world beater

if rossiter goes and possibly wallace too an extra body SG played against in MLS and rates ain’t a bad idea.

3.) 18 Jan 2019 10:10:52
Coop does Fernandinho play right back as Polster is first and foremost a right back that can slot into midfield? Maybe he'll be our new number 10 Coop!

4.) 18 Jan 2019 12:59:22
Never fails! Always somebody bites!
Take the hook out your mouth,

5.) 18 Jan 2019 13:08:38
Yep full back who can also play midfield from the reports I've read. Hopefully has a similar impact to Claudio Reyna that would do me.

6.) 18 Jan 2019 17:11:18
C'mon lads play fair, coop has been having us on all along with his wild comparisons. 👍.

7.) 18 Jan 2019 22:05:42
Think he will be in the 1 for the future back up squad player tbh. Might be wrong maybe done enough to suggest he’s better option than Flanagan for back up at RB when on trial.

22 Dec 2018 21:48:34
Many people, myself included have an impression that if we were to sign shankland, he could be another Nicky Clarke. But what if he turned out to be the next Andy Robertson? (Different position I know, but in the sense of potential)

Marco C

1.) 23 Dec 2018 01:47:36
Agreed MarcoC - some people on here seem to be too quick to use the Nicky Clarke angle about Shankland plus he failed with the sheep- he is still young and improving and in my opinion can only improve further with coaching and being amongst a better standard of player- with a shortage of natural strikers around young Shankland surely has to be of interest to us -.

2.) 23 Dec 2018 06:14:48
Defo a cheaper option.

3.) 23 Dec 2018 09:06:21
You’re right on the money he’s excactly like Nicky Clark. prolific at a mediocre level! C'mon chaps aim a little higher for **** sake🙈.

4.) 23 Dec 2018 09:44:12
The risk that comes with a lot of signings wouldn’t be there if we signed him
Definitely worth a go.

5.) 23 Dec 2018 09:55:40
just think if everybody had said the same about jamie vardy when he was at the conference how can anybody say that he's going to be the next nicky clark nobody can tell unless you give him a chance and also the boy is breaking goalscoring records in the championship can't remember saying the same about nicky clark.

6.) 23 Dec 2018 09:58:14
The Leicester city fans likely said the same when they heard they were signing a non league striker from Fleetwood for 1m. look how that turned out.

7.) 23 Dec 2018 11:04:00
bit unsure about shankland tbh he cld make it or might not

i’d only being him in if he’s better than what we have - hardie has scored vs hearts and hivs recently but folk
still maintain he’s not good enough. think the lad got a few starts tops that just ain’t enough for a young player to then say he ain’t good enough

also for those saying shankland is prolific at mediocre level and that’s it davie cooper came from clydebank and super ally came from st johnstone via sunderland both legends

that’s no guarantee players from lesser clubs won’t be good enough but i also accept the nicky clarke argument

i’d still sign davis maybe recall doc and i heard we are talking to solanke reps.

8.) 23 Dec 2018 15:02:06
Don't think it will matter what striker we sign unless we start playing with two up front, 442? - that worked a bit better when laff came on today and we started playing a more direct game. All the opposition have sussed our one up front system and if they snuff el buffalo we are toothless in attack.

9.) 23 Dec 2018 16:20:01
For the money it would cost to bring him in. It makes more sense to sign him than let him go somewhere else. He may very well not turn out great but he is showing promise and you can only beat what’s put in front of you and he is doing that with ease. Maybe we can take him to the next level.

10.) 23 Dec 2018 18:18:46
Lads obviously still young and has potential. Knows where the goal is. We don’t create enough chances at the moment for him to flourish. Hopefully that changes going in to the second half of the season. Would be decent back up for Fredo and wouldn’t cost a lot.

11.) 23 Dec 2018 19:28:45
I'd take the lad in a heartbeat. its zero risk for us. For all we know he could become the next Vardy. I doubt we'll have a lot of money to spend in January so it's a wise move for me.

12.) 24 Dec 2018 13:44:17
Young and has potential? He's a year older than Morelos with about a tenth of the ability. Has anyone actually watched him?

13.) 24 Dec 2018 14:21:04
I've not looked it up but isn't Shankland breaking records Clarke set in the championship?

14.) 24 Dec 2018 15:17:45
Alba, he is top league scorer, but is behind Steven Dobbie in goals so far this season.

15.) 25 Dec 2018 15:00:35
People keep banging on about Nicky Clark but all his goals for QOTS were in the first division no the championship. Also Clark may have been more successful with some decent players around him. Shankland worth a punt as cover imo.

16.) 26 Dec 2018 10:40:39
To be honest I’ve never watched the boy play other than against us where he barely got a sniff. But plenty ex players/ pundits have spoken about his work ethic, clever runs and ability to be in the right place at the right time and then put the ball in the back of the net, which sets him apart from Nicky Clark. If Gerrard goes for him, it’s good enough for me.

26 Jul 2018 11:08:56
Just read that Bryan is coming in on a 3 year deal?

Marco C

1.) 26 Jul 2018 11:51:43
Marco c this will be a great signing, he can play midfield, left back or ch. he was outstanding at Oldham last year.

2.) 26 Jul 2018 12:01:29
At Oldham 😂😂! This the best we can do kids who can play in lower league teams.

3.) 26 Jul 2018 12:23:44
There will be tears from our fans, as always. Infact Kenny has got the ball rolling there I see.

Oliver Nchtam was a Man City youngster unable to break through was he not? All round probs the best midfielder in the league.

We are paying his boy 2.5m over 3 years. The management team must think he is worth it and can be sold on.

4.) 26 Jul 2018 12:33:34
Excuse my ignorance but who is he?

5.) 26 Jul 2018 12:44:42
Good prospect. Kind of signings we can go for develop into a player who improves us and then sell on for a good fee. This is the way we need tor un our football club in order to compete without champions league money.

6.) 26 Jul 2018 13:01:31
Kenny lower league player like, Kane, deli Ali, lingard vardy.

7.) 26 Jul 2018 13:02:54
Bearmode my reading that also includes fee to sign him.

8.) 26 Jul 2018 13:11:00
dont no much about the boy but if man city thought the boy was good enough that will do me, citys youth policy is excellent and it doesn't mean your a bad player if you can't break into a team like city.

9.) 26 Jul 2018 14:45:58
He's played for all the England youth teams up to and including the under 20's though he did not get a game for that age group. He played very well in Division 1 (ok lower standard than SPL but not by much) and even got a cup game for Man city. He is 21 and will need a little time perhaps but his pedigree is amazing Great signing.

10.) 26 Jul 2018 16:20:51
This is a very good signing could perhaps be our best bit of business in a good while, Viera when he was in charge of the youth at city said he has a very bright future then he was sent out on loan and has shown his ability. He will most likely play centre half for us as he is what we are looking for a left footed cb.

11.) 26 Jul 2018 19:17:40
Kenny no answer, look at England World Cup squad, all but threespent formative years league one or championship.
They done ok.

12.) 27 Jul 2018 11:01:33
SG will be well informed by his cousin who partnered him at Oldham last season. Similar to katic. Young with huge potential. Signing we should have been making for years.

06 May 2018 13:42:20
Just a rumour I heard but apparently rangers are in talks with Glasgow council about 're opening govan train station. Network rail have no plans but will listen to offers.

Marco C

1.) 06 May 2018 14:28:12
Not a rumour in papers last week

2.) 06 May 2018 14:35:21
You are well behind with the times, this was announced a couple of weeks ago

3.) 06 May 2018 15:36:03
Marco, did you see Mr Traynor on Friday?

4.) 06 May 2018 16:01:45
I don't read the papers so never knew. Is that the same traynor that left rangers in 2013?

5.) 06 May 2018 16:29:39
Marco, Traynor is still at the club. Unfortunately.

6.) 06 May 2018 16:35:20
Traynor was slinking about in the background of the behind the scenes footage available on Rangers TV Marco, I believe he is now a paid consultant rather than employed direct and that must be something to be reviewed by the board ASAP surely! Well worth checking out RTV anyway mate if only for Alice Hedworth 😊😉

7.) 06 May 2018 17:18:15
Traynor is on your feet

12 Apr 2018 16:49:15
Morelos yellow card for diving overturned. And Douglas park deputy chairman

Marco C

1.) 12 Apr 2018 18:14:00
Good decisions. How can it be diving if the keepers face was burst by the contact.

Fire at the training ground this morning, things are really heating up.

Marco C

1.) 16 Jan 2019 12:08:59
really heating up? just hope no one was hurt.

2.) 16 Jan 2019 16:10:20
Somebody set alight to Pena's stash of Tequila LOL. damage is not bad but do not know cause no statement from club yet.

3.) 16 Jan 2019 19:46:34
I read earlier it was the residual heat from the players boots on the 29th.

02 Jan 2019 00:27:42
Davis apparently agreed 18 month contract on £12k per week.

Marco C

1.) 02 Jan 2019 08:48:24
£12,000 a week? Try £20,000, nearer the Mark.

2.) 02 Jan 2019 09:24:17
Ulsterman, £20k a week for a 34 year old up in Scotland? Very much doubt it that he would be our highest paid player 🇬🇧.

3.) 02 Jan 2019 10:21:23
I’m not guessing, I read in Rangers news that he was taking a massive cut in his £60,000 a week pay package to sign for Rangers, but it would still put him up with the highest paid players at Ibrox, surely Morelos, Dorran, etc are on more than £12,00 a week? I can’t see him signing for that really, can you?

4.) 02 Jan 2019 11:02:58
A lot of people are going on about him being 34, my goodness, that’s a young fit man, but I think £12,000 a week is a bit light, put your self in his shoes, if you were head hunted would you accept it, ? This guy has had other offers in England at far more and he said no to them.

5.) 02 Jan 2019 14:30:19
Don’t really his wage but agree Ulsterman we need Davis back and just hope he gets up to match fitnesses ASAP ✌️🇬🇧.

6.) 02 Jan 2019 17:05:56
Yately I believe you and I are singing of the same hymn sheet, I love wee Davis for his drive and never say die attitude, if signed as you say he can only help the young guys at Ibrox, his experience must be of great value or Stevie G wouldn’t sign him, and the Nina’s is he’s an ardent bluenose.

16 Dec 2018 18:26:59
Just watching sportsscene and Thompson actually said he thought Lafferty lead the line well for Celtic. What a fud.

Marco C

1.) 17 Dec 2018 00:15:58
Ah the great unwashed haunting our pages again, disagreeing with a simple fact. what a life they must lead, hardcore👍🏻🤭😁😂.

15 Dec 2018 23:23:40
Steven Dobie has scored 3 more goals than shankland this season so far. Shankland has 3 more league goals however.

Marco C

17 Oct 2018 12:27:51
So the IFA have invoked a rule that means Lafferty won't be able to play this weekend even if fit. Would be great of other countries followed suit. I'm not the greatest fan of international football, but it is an honour to play for your country, and to feign an injury to not play is an insult.

Marco C

1.) 17 Oct 2018 13:28:21
Lafferty has carried Northern Ireland since Healy retired. always available no Matter what was going on in his life to ban him for pulling out of squad is an absolute disgrace. If I was him I wouldn’t play again for O’Neil, players have pulled out dozens of times and we’re not banned why do it with Lafferty.

2.) 17 Oct 2018 17:19:12
I think we know the answer to that 36th.

3.) 17 Oct 2018 17:19:42
Big decisions for Lafferty now. His gaffer is obviously miffed but that decision is not going to heal the situation in my opinion. I’d expect some form of statement from Lafferty soon. The big man has been through a lot this year and I think that the fact he has just had a child with his missus means he’s pretty content right now and will look forward to having international breaks with his family. It’s becoming more and more common with older players from these shores there’s just not as much patriotism as on the continent.

4.) 17 Oct 2018 17:22:57
My issue is that it is Rangers that suffers. Not Laff.

5.) 17 Oct 2018 17:31:33
Does anyone think the sfa will use the 5 day rule against the ugly we reptile from the piggery.

6.) 17 Oct 2018 18:08:53
How does this rule work?
Everyone keeps calling it the 5 day rule.
Northern Ireland played Monday, we play Sunday.
Surely that’s 6 days.
Someone enlighten me please.

7.) 17 Oct 2018 19:47:55
It's 5 days from the end of the international week not from when your team plays. Internationals ended wWednesday night our games Sunday so 5 days. Wonder if sfa will follow suit with the thumb, highly doubt it.

8.) 17 Oct 2018 19:50:15
The five day rule applies from the last day of the international break which was last night, not when Ireland last played.

9.) 17 Oct 2018 19:59:13
I read a thing today and I think it's just an international break as a whole not just when his country has played. So the last games were last night meaning Sunday would be day 5, that's just what I read though.

10.) 17 Oct 2018 20:48:49
Regarding big Laff he will always give 100% But I've heard rumour about why he pulled out. Don't like to spread it but hope it's not true as he's had enough problems in his private life. Need the big man back. Like I say rumours but from few different sources one close to his family here in northern Ireland.

11.) 18 Oct 2018 08:04:13
Thanks for clearing that up.

12.) 18 Oct 2018 15:46:08
Kurgan loyal. U can't say I heard rumour and not expand, story here he fell off the wagon, which makes it worse what that wee drunk done to him.

In previous years, jelavic for example, never played before the window opened as he was getting sold. I think the fact he played in the old firm, and his reaction at the end suggests he is staying.
