Think start tonight with same 11 that beat Celtic in last match, with Davis and Defoe to come off the bench. Anything less than 9 points in the opening 3 league games will effectively kill off any title hopes we have.

Bankie

Gerrard has already stated that Goldson is out of tonight’s match with injury so there will have to be at least 1 change.

Arthur D, okay think limit it to one change then with McCauley at the back.

Katic for me, the threat from crosses/ corners has been missing, he's got to get a game, for me anyway.

Katic for me also mate! A big asset in both boxes! Katic are IMO the centre half partnership, going forward! They dovetail well together, as the beginning of the season would testify to! Both different centre halfs, with different attributes, but they compliment each other!

I would be happy with that, only goal threat we have a set pieces.

I would prefer Mc Cau and katic. Worrall was a bomb scare in the friendly.

I’d go for McAuleys experience if Goldson is out, I’d rather have one of the older guys with one of the younger guys each game, for me Goldson / Katic should be our first choice pairing.

I think we need to approach this game with the same mindset we horsed Celtic with. Agressive and first to every ball. Play our strongest team from the start and make tactical subs as we go through the game. Liked the look of Katic at the Helsinki game, so I would play him from the start. The surface at Killie is always going to be a problem but that's up to SG to think about our team line up. Hit them hard, go 2 in front and play assertively.

I really don't get where everyone gets the Katic is a far greater threat from attacking corners. If you look at there records McAuley over a long career has always been a goal threat wherever he has been, where Katic has a very mediocre return for a centre half coming up for all corners (1 in 64 and 1 in 36 for his last two teams) . For what it is worth I would rather Katic played than either McAuley or Worrall but its def not because he is more of a threat in an attacking sense, more that he is our player and hopefully has a long term future at our great club.

Katic and Goldson pairing for every game for me. Best partnership at club.

I would go with Goldson and Katic also but whatever Gerrard does i think he need to find his best pairing and stick to it - we chop and change far too much for my liking. The guys who beat Celtic deserved the chance to line up tonight (apart from Goldson who was injured) imo but we switched stuff around to fit the 2 new signings.

Thought we started well and were in complete control before Worrals howler, likewise thought we were doing pretty well and looked more threatening than Killie in second half before the broke away and scored. Not our worse performance of the season but once again we get to the top (well, joint top) and can't back it up.
