Can any1 tell me why Patterson not involved in euro sqaud even tho he homegrown player and there's no right back cover for tav and McLaughlin also not in the sqaud but robbie mcrorie. could stevie g be rotating the euro and league sqaud?

He is involved. The rules clearly state you don’t need to name under 21 players ie B players till 24 hours before kick off. Same re Kelly.

It’s because any home grown player that is 21 or under doesn’t need to be named in the ‘first team’ squad. Therefore the likes of Paterson, Kelly or even potentially Middleton can all still play and will all be in the final squad, without having to take up a space in the named 25. You can only name a squad of 25 which has to include 8 home grown players (over 21). We don’t have 8 home grown players that are over 21, therefore we have only named 23 players. It’s also why the back up goalie is Mcrorie instead of McLaughlin as McLaughlin wasn’t developed in Scotland so wouldn’t class as one of the 8 home grown players. Better not to take up one of the squad spaces with a back up goalie. Also we must include those that have suspensions to serve (Roofe, Kamara ana Balogun) so that their suspensions are served.
