Having reflected on yesterday there a few points I'd like to make.
McLaughlin isn't a bad keeper but he is not the long term answer. The 3 we have are adequate but not game changers.
I believe (and bare with me here) our squad IS good enough to win this league and match that of the dark side.
The REAL issue is mental. Lack of Focus, drive and determination killed us.
We lack fighters in this group. Have done for years.
We were beat by their unerring drive to move forward quickly.
Is this on the management, yes partly. Also on the lenders.

our squad is well short to fight on all fronts champions league will be a disaster and pick up many injury's kent and morelos will sign for another club in january costing us millions in loss money and more millions to replace celtic won't stop scoring we coulnt handle the pace god help us in europe.

I said yesterday our players, are at least as good as Celtics. The difference is the coaching and planning that AP creates and transfers it from the training ground to the match situation. something definitely wrong with our coaching team and how they prepare the team. GVB has done a, good job in Europe but the SPL is a, different approach based on how teams set up and play.

These were (roughly) the teams yesterday. I've watched all of our games this season and 3 or 4 of theirs. I think its madness to say our players are as good as Celtics. Most of ours are nowhere near.

Of the players that played for us yesterday, none get into their first 11 and only Tav, Lundstram and potentially Barisic make their bench. McLauchlan, Goldson, Sands, Davis, Kamara, Wright, Colak, Morelos, Kent, Sakala, Tillman don't even make their matchday squad, compared to what they have in each position.

We need to be realistic here when appraising the two groups. We needed players in, players who could make a difference to our first 11. We didn't, with the exception of Lawrence and potentially Tillman, though he was posted missing yesterday.

It'll cost us a lot more in the long run if we keep Kent. Players move on so why waste more money on him for the precious little he gives in return? Maybe he could operate better on the right while he's here - at least then he might put in a cross or two from the bye line? Either way let his contract run down - if he wants a move elsewhere then, like Morelos, let them earn it without the comfort-blanket of an extended contract from us.

Gio still has Dutch mentality, that is, teams will play slow controlled passing game, that's not how scotland works, that why we perform better in Europe, until he adapts to this we will continue to struggle, as to all this playing out from the back was always a disaster waiting to happen because we are not any good at it.

Our players didn't suddenly become bad players when the game started yesterday they have shown they can compete with Celtic previously my issue is celtics coaching has improved their standards but our coaching appears not to have improved our standards . there are a few, players who are living on past reputations and beleive th5st will be enough . but please can we have a, proper goalkeeper soon.

Sorry guys. I submitted my op before finishing.
Leaders = we lack them on pitch.
We lack real bite.
No-one gets in the face of the opposition. No-one grabs their team-mates and drags them up.
The old firm is a battle. Things we shouldn't see - Colak greeting Juranovic before the game with a hug. The Americans of both sides going out to dinner.
Other days, fine. But on the day they are the f'n enemy. you hate them.
You don't want them to rest. You HUNT them.
You thrive on that hunger/ anger.
This needs to be driven home by someone. Someone needs to go and put one of them up in the air in the first few mins. Make them look over their shoulder and second guess themselves.
I don't blame the recruitment or Gio but there's need to be someone who injects this into them before this game.
Our big players are just mosn when upset. Goldson, Lundstram, Kent, Morelos. I have seen their faces tripping them many times but rarely do you see that fight in them.

Gdog that’s gerrads team. Gio has been here less than a year, Stevie got 3 years. The fact is we are stuck with players running down good contracts that no one will buy. Stevie got them their contracts. To be honest I see players in Tillman and Sands but they need different players. Still can’t understand why Tav got a new contract. No one will buy him.

I'm not saying our players are bad players, I'm saying theirs are better than our, by quite some distance, in every position.

We should still be able to dispatch most other teams in Scotland, but like it or not we are in a position where we need them to have a right bad day at the same time as we have a right good one to challenge them.

A lot of Rangers fans seriously overestimate the quality of player we have in comparison to Celtic.

I've seen a few comments talking about Celtic not being as good as some of teams we beat in Europe last season. As much as it's an utter gut wrencher to say, having watched them a lot this year they absolutely are up there IMO.

But letsnot also forget that at the same time we were competing with Dortmund and Leipzig etc, we were dropping points to Ross County.
