Guys we have been looking at a young attacking mid in Spain on loan (not jota) but his parent club wanted us to pay half his wages and this was a little too much for us so it's off at present.

1.) 27 Dec 2016 17:39:08
Sergi Canos? Seems like a great wee player, think we are still waiting on a decision from him to see if he wants to come up north on loan.

2.) 28 Dec 2016 08:44:35
It's not Canos as he would currently be playing in Spain and belongs to a prem team!

3.) 28 Dec 2016 16:11:07
Whats the young players name we are trying to get bluegenius?

20 Jul 2016 12:39:12
Online rumour we are looking at ivica oli. 36 and free.

1.) 20 Jul 2016 13:07:22
Aston villa and Newcastle apparently interested in him as well. Would you want him at Ibrox?

2.) 20 Jul 2016 13:22:50
Certainly fits 1 of the age brackets we are currently shopping in.

3.) 20 Jul 2016 13:44:47
He's retired lol.

4.) 20 Jul 2016 14:10:55
Announced his international retirement in March and then announced he would be retiring from club football to take on youth coaching role at Hamburg shortly after.

5.) 20 Jul 2016 19:17:18
Certainly hope not 2 goals for hamburg last season. We already have Kenny up top as the veteran we don't need another.

26 Jun 2016 02:21:16
Hey lads,

My wee source is telling md that when The hat and the squad leave for America on Monday big Davie Weir is staying as our next possible signing is coming up on Monday to see the set up!

1.) 26 Jun 2016 13:25:55
I'd like to think weir will go and mc p will stay was hoping weir would be taking training with the defenders any new names being mentioned today hope we could be waiting on the Northern Ireland plane landing take a few of they players they played well.

2.) 26 Jun 2016 14:27:33
Humey like who exactly lol would cost a fair bob.

3.) 26 Jun 2016 14:31:46
I know but it might be worth looking to see who's out of contract and go from there is evens not out contract Jonny.

4.) 26 Jun 2016 16:23:03
Might be totally coincidental but I seen Weir and McParland at Gretna services yesterday. Don't think they were getting married though lol. Going on a spying mission or having talks with someone?

5.) 26 Jun 2016 17:04:48
Both Weir and mcparland staying. I believe they were down south looking at someone but I didn't hear their exact location. May have been Brighton area.

6.) 26 Jun 2016 21:00:11
Or could have been anywhere else in England or the Scottish border along with that thinking.

7.) 27 Jun 2016 08:10:29
Scott I don't mean as he was at Gretna. I was party to a conversation where MW himself said Big Davie was travelling back up but I couldn't make out where from but he may have said Brighton as that is what it sounded like.

8.) 27 Jun 2016 16:40:45
Well Weir is on the plane so not staying behind source wrong Bluegenius.

18 Jun 2016 19:23:38
Lads I told u ages ago we were signing a defender who appeared in cup final for Palace!

1.) 18 Jun 2016 20:36:48
Another excellent signing he will be he is a good player strong defender but also quick so will fit perfect along side hill and can also play right back. great signing again so happy with this transfer window😃.

2.) 18 Jun 2016 21:49:12
Sorry who is the new signing.

3.) 19 Jun 2016 09:45:32
I believe I started going on about mariappa last week gents! Would be a terrific signing! Far better defender than taylor.

4.) 19 Jun 2016 11:03:13
No - one yet bluebear. Mariappa up for talks. I heard this was in the pipeline a week or 2 after fa cup final and posted it here.

5.) 19 Jun 2016 12:02:53
Good player I posted on here donkeys ago about this. Was the first post of its kind.

6.) 19 Jun 2016 12:04:35
Spot on Bluegenius remember you saying it.

7.) 18 Jun 2016 20:40:08
From the players mouth 2night he has not got anything lined up. Although he could be playing matters down.

8.) 19 Jun 2016 00:35:33
I love how excited we are all getting. Let's be honest these players couldn't lace a 9 in a row boot but from where we have came from and where we are going, it's exactly the type of signings we need.

I never thought we could win the league going straight up, but I'm starting to believe it's going to happen. We are signing the best available on frees. Warburton has proved he has something in the magic hat. Just Niko, cover for Lb and decent striker and I'd say we are finished. could the possible loanees be strikers?

9.) 20 Jun 2016 11:13:01
we will never get anywhere the 9 in a row team again!

but i do agree we are going in the right direction not sure about the loanees being the strikers though as i thinkn we will be in the market to buy one and its still early doors now.

01 Jun 2016 16:45:03
My source close to MW has advised me 2 things today.
Firstly Tav was not only struggling with injury in cup final but had been carrying a knock for weeks. MW has a few regrets about how small his pool of players has been.
Secondly we are looking at a defender from Crystal Palace and believes he made an appearance in FA cup final.

1.) 01 Jun 2016 17:09:46
I still rate Tav had a bad game would like to see MW try him as RW or RM think he'd excel in those positions still think he has a bright future at the club.

2.) 01 Jun 2016 17:16:21
Could possibly be mariapa who came on as sub for scott dann.

3.) 01 Jun 2016 17:32:15
Your source is such a tease, no name or anything.

4.) 01 Jun 2016 19:16:23
I thought Mariappa or Delaney.

5.) 02 Jun 2016 10:20:46
Mariappa would be a good addition.

There is a bit of a campaign on the go to get Joey Garner song to number 1 for Xmas. "Glad all over" by The Dave Clarke 5.
Its already 3/ 4 on I-tunes.
Lets have an Xmas number 1!

1.) 20 Dec 2016 13:41:37
Suppose yous have to finish number 1 at something! Lol. god u know standards have slipped when songs are getting made up for a striker who's scored 3 goals all season! Haha, u couldn't make it up, brilliant!

2.) 20 Dec 2016 14:07:38
Personally think it is a load of nonsense. If there was a charity element to it, perhaps it would be worthwhile.

Lh86, obviously the lyrics have been 'made up', so it makes a mockery of your comment. Never mind, eh.

3.) 20 Dec 2016 14:17:15
Aye am the one who should be mocked! Coming from the fans who make up songs for a player who's scored as many all season as big moussa scored in one game against yous! And at a fraction of what your guy cost! But never mind eh, you just mock away! Haha.

4.) 20 Dec 2016 14:23:45
Two very different types of players so I don't get your point LH86, yes Garner could score a few more goals but his work rate and the way he gives defenders hell all day is outstanding. That'll be the reason he is a fan favourite.

5.) 20 Dec 2016 14:34:45
Lh86, as you clearly do not get it, I will point out that you stated that 'songs are getting made up' before saying 'you couldn't make it up'. Not your best effort.

6.) 20 Dec 2016 14:41:09
Onlyshow I think the point is if u play for Rangers/ celtic and your a striker, there is only 1 target.
20 goals a season minimum, anything else is failure no matter what else u do.
But if that's the standards u want u go for it mate.

7.) 20 Dec 2016 15:20:49
All. About. The. Rangers!

8.) 20 Dec 2016 15:22:01
Yes they'r totally different players onlyshow! One scores goals and one doesn't! And my point is it shows how expectations and standards have dropped dramatically from your fans and when a player who's scored 3 goals all season is getting songs made up for him! And gives defenders hell all day! The only way u give defenders hell if your a striker is putting the ball in the net, always has been and always will be!

9.) 20 Dec 2016 15:33:34
And Rayman just for the record I remember you guys singing songs about Samaras all the tim yet he never managed 20 in a season up here and cost more than Garner!

10.) 20 Dec 2016 15:39:20
I'm quite content for him not to score if he continues to bully defenders, which allows others to score.

11.) 20 Dec 2016 15:43:32
Lh86, Dembele the, what is it again, £40 million rated striker? Who's scored the same amount as Danny Swanson? Lol enough said.

12.) 20 Dec 2016 16:37:45
Again with the 40 million pound! Who was it that mentioned this magical 40 million? Because it certainly wasn't any of us! When dembele does leave he will leave for a Scottish transfer record, of that there is no doubt! And all the amount of wishing it doesn't happen from yous won't change that! And highlighting he's scored the same as Swanson just make your strikers even worse than they currently do! If that's possible lol. but hey he gives defenders hell!

13.) 20 Dec 2016 16:41:05
It's more about appreciating the effort he puts in. He's also in an entirely new system, something andy little backed up in the paper yesterday. If the effort is there, the goals will come.

14.) 20 Dec 2016 16:46:19
Ofcourse he will LH86. At the same time that happens McKay will be nominated for the Ballon d'or.

15.) 20 Dec 2016 17:02:37
lh86, the 40M was mentioned by Brenda, while bumming up how well he chooses players. The great thing about people that self- praise, is the bump when the arse falls out of all their hot air.
Just two questions for you ---- 1.] Why bother about the song, it's harmless fun?

16.) 20 Dec 2016 17:17:55
Yip there we go more lies again, at no point did Brendan mention 40 million! This is a guy who's just turned 20 years old and yes he'll go through his ups and downs, but this boys class! As was proved just this week when he was voted French under 21 player of the year! And that wasn't us voting for him by the way! Make no mistake only show this boy will go for scotlands biggest ever transfer fee! And McKay for the Ballon d'or! Surely joe garners 3 goals this season make him a cert for that! Lmao.

17.) 20 Dec 2016 17:42:14
Never know Liam Burt could be in with a shout. Also I do believe Rodgers spoke of quite a ridiculous figure when it came to Dembele. Here is a thought give him a season or two then say how much he is worth.

18.) 20 dec 2016 17:18:06
lh86, there's so much more to garner's play to scoring goals, although i do grant you, strikers are judged on their goals and rightly so. but trust me here my friend, the goals will come for joe garner. he's had to come into a team and adapt to a new system for him which he's now doing, he's getting there! i'll tell you something, joe garner will give your defenders a hellish time imo and they'll certainly know they've been in a game at full time on hogmanay! that i totally guarantee you! joe garner will go on to be a very good player for the most successful football club in the planet, bar none, the famous glasgow rangers! for the record i think we'll beat yous on hogmanay, really do!

19.) 20 Dec 2016 16:57:30
I have to agree with the comment that an old firm striker should be looking to score a minimum of 20 goals a season.

20.) 20 Dec 2016 17:47:35
Brendas war chest couldn't pay for half of the passion that Garner shows playing for Rangers. Regardless of whether we finish 1st or 10th we'll always be the main event in Scotland and this thread is just further proof of that!

21.) 20 Dec 2016 17:53:38
We are just having a bit of fun LH we did the same with Sebo and your lot I am sure had cult players also through the years, so away and give us peace, back you go to your own patch.

22.) 20 Dec 2016 18:22:29
I'm having a bit of fun to mate! Lol. god I'm sure not that long ago garner was getting slaughtered on this very page to! Now he's the most passionate tough brave never say die non scoring striker there's ever been! Lmao.

23.) 20 Dec 2016 19:01:41
He may have got slaughtered by some. The great dembele still gets slaughtered by some Celtic fans he must be spl top scorer? No he's not wow maybe he's only worth 30 million.

24.) 20 Dec 2016 19:21:36
lh86, check out the daily rebel 30th. Oct. 2016 and the source was Brenda.
Merry Christmas.

25.) 20 Dec 2016 19:33:49
Rangers charity getting 500 notes if it hits number one and to be fair i like the idea of it, joe is a great wee player that's no nonsense, hey ill take that because it seems the system is working.

26.) 20 dec 2016 19:07:04
billyb, i'll answer it for them why they're bothering about the joe garner song mate. simply they're infatuated with the famous glasgow rangers and everything that we do! that's always been they're way and always will be! they are totally obsessed and that is fact!

they can try to dress it up anyway they like but that's the crux of it! they are without question just now the best team in scotland but listen, they will never be the most successful football club in the world, like we are, fact! we've also always been regarded as scotland's premier football club and throughout their full history its always stuck in their throats!

they truly are, a very jealous football club especially where the famous glasgow rangers are concerned! for them it truly is, all about the glasgow rangers! world record holders! they will always as a club be tagging along behind!

27.) 20 Dec 2016 19:15:57
Lh86, most of us are realistic and knew we would not come up to the SPL and win it at first attempt, we have came through an awful lot with all the crooks we have
had at our club. If and I think we most definitely will finish second then I personally think that is a good achievement.

We have backed our team through thick and thin with top attendances in the (whole) of Scotland when we were in the lower divisions! I notice your great club still counts seats as supporters as even this season you are not giving accurate crowds looking at the amount of empty seats.

Now we were punished for so called EBTs, tax avoidance, your team have still to be caught out (on going enquiry). The point I am making is, I doubt very much you closet supporters would have backed your team in the same way!

We will be back and then you and your like will sneak back under your Boulder and won't be seen again. Look forward to seeing your crowd tonight 😂.

28.) 20 Dec 2016 20:24:00
More lies again billyb! I've said it once and I'll say it again, Brendan has never mentioned 40 million for dembele! And no Celtic fan thinks we'll get that! But what we will get is Scottish footballs biggest ever transfer fee for him! There is absolutely no doubt about that! And I totally get that your looking on enviously at this young guy and wishing u could have signed him! But if your happy with a striker that doesn't score then best of luck to u, each to there own I guess.

29.) 20 Dec 2016 21:54:16
Talking about Scottish records and number 1 positions Lh86. 54 times my friend!

30.) 21 Dec 2016 16:05:21
Main event RFCinfinity, are you sure?
I listen to Clyde every night as I sure some of you do and there is a regular caller called Ronnie from the merchant city, a staunch blunose I sure you have heard him.
All he wants talk about is Celtic, how BR will be lured to the EPL, how Dembele is not worth 20m, Celtic are now on a slippery slope (I know lol), etc etc its hysterical.
And he ain't the only one but you keep believing your the main event.
To us your simply a sideshow.

19 Dec 2016 09:21:40
I noticed there is a rumour that Nathan Oduwa is being linked with a free transfer to Serie B team.

Would anyone like to see us make a move for him?

I was never entirely convinced but just wondering what others thought.

1.) 19 Dec 2016 13:09:25
No, all the best to the lad but I don't think he would get away with rainbow flicks in the SPFL.

2.) 19 Dec 2016 13:47:41
worth a punt i'd say at least we could turn him into a profit buy if we get him for free and sell in a half a year or year for 750,000 or something.

or he could turn out to be a great player for us.

3.) 19 Dec 2016 14:21:28
hmm tricky one really but yes i think we could make money on him. i agree with you james he could be good for us.

4.) 19 Dec 2016 12:13:52
In a word. no

He wasn't good enough to make an impact in the championship.

5.) 19 Dec 2016 14:53:34
I would take this lad back, loads of skill and a natural finisher.

6.) 19 Dec 2016 15:57:19
A natural finisher with his one career goal :)

7.) 19 Dec 2016 16:02:20
The question I would ask is would he help close the gap between ourselves and Celtic?

Answer: No.

8.) 19 Dec 2016 19:54:53
Same type as dodoo really and were struggling to use him properly in team so I'd pass as well.

9.) 19 Dec 2016 21:37:33
I don't doubt Oduwa's skill, but I do doubt if he has the mentality and strength of character to be a Rangers player.

10.) 20 Dec 2016 14:46:23
wee ecky that what would concern me but if he is a free agent then at worst he could make us a couple of hundred thousand.
and in the best case scenario he could develop into a great player because like you said u can't deny the boy has skill.

I would say no if he costs a transfer fee but he will be worth money and I think he is worth a shot.

14 Dec 2016 11:24:31
Hi Gents,

I'm looking forward with a little trepidation to our game on Friday night. I just hope that we keep up the momentum of the 2 recent games.

Hamilton are no mugs and on their day give anyone a game. My hope is the have pushed themselves to excess last night and are not up to it fully by Friday.

I would love to see how far Ali Crawford could go in the blue of Rangers. Boy has a great touch and knows where the net is. Scored a few crackers this season.
Unfortunately I reckon as per usual we will be priced out of any move for him by another Scottish club and he will end up drifting into obscurity in championship or League 1 by this time next year.

1.) 14 Dec 2016 13:33:01
I believe that we have the confidence from the last two game and that will help on Friday but the playes all of them must play like they are hungry for the ball all game as like you said Hamilton are no mugs especially at home.

2.) 16 Dec 2016 14:24:04
bluegenius, you'll never see Crawford in a blue jersey unless it's maybe St Johnstone as he is nowhere near good enough for Rangers.

02 Dec 2016 08:48:48
I saw on another site that we should go for Raul Merieles.
He is unattached and at 33 has some great experience under him and is the kind of fighter we need.
Would be a great option in my opinion!

1.) 02 Dec 2016 09:34:28
I like Merieles.

29 Nov 2016 16:06:18
Looking forward to the January transfer window.
I would imagine we will be looking at 2-4 players depending on who is available at a reasonable cost/ free.

I would think now that Senderos has clearly 4th choice I would like to see him released with minimal cost and another option brought in. I have no idea who would fit TBH.

I reckon we could bring Lansbury in with the money we were paying Barton.

As much as I would like to see another out and out striker I don't think we should write off Garner just yet as dropping him now will only decrease his value immensely and we can't really afford that. So if as suspected Waghorn goes for a small
fee I reckon we will be looking at another attacking option that can play a number of positions to make up for loss of Waggy and Kranjcar.

1.) 29 Nov 2016 17:37:46
Thinking the same Bluegenius.

ITK poster said Chris Willock and Krystian Bielik are coming in on loan from Arsenal. No one's said anything since so it must still be on.

MW dis say he'd use the loan market to replace Niko Kranjcar. If he's going back to Tottenham or Arsenal, the options could well be Zelalem, Tom Carroll or Josh Onomah.

If it's a permanent creative midfielder MW might go back in for Conor Hourihane who's playing well so it might well take a bit to get him from Barnsley.

Doubt Waghorn will leave. Hope he can come on throughout the second half of the season and along with Garner, Dodoo, Miller.

2.) 29 Nov 2016 20:44:39
I looked forward to summer window but none of the 11 (? ) signings have established themselves in the side which were all expected to improve the side never mind the squad!

Has Warburton just been unlucky?

At least we have been lucky in last 2 weeks - but surely we shouldn't be "riding" our luck all the time?

Next 3 games should define our season - no excuses?

3.) 29 Nov 2016 21:19:11
The guy conner from barnsley is a free agent in the summer and the commentator when they played forest recently said he's been outstanding this year he's relatively young aswell so think we'll struggle to get him.

4.) 29 Nov 2016 21:39:49
Unless we are up for a full bloodied battle our luck will desert us tomorrow night. It's a poor pitch, they have a 6gt 6in centre forward supported by Watt and Salmon. This will be an old fashioned battle from the first minute and few of our team have experience of. Really hope MW and DW have the team prepared and in the zone.

5.) 30 Nov 2016 04:32:00
Players that don't play for the jersey need to leave, getting rid of them won't be easy! Players brought in need to be winners, the need football ability but they need to be willing to battle for a result. Personally I would like to see us sign a tough tackling, box to box player, a guy with football ability that can pass the ball and score a few goals every season, a young version of Souness would be perfect. Any thoughts, does such an individual exist!

6.) 30 Nov 2016 08:52:33
would take henri lansbury in a minute.

I'm not supporting Tav OSA but surely when we are crying out for a centre back, a defensive mid and a striker of quality and we had £2m for one position (which we don't) we would fill these berths first!?

16 Jan 2017 15:49:23
I can't see this one being realistic. Price of £2m being quoted. I can't see us struggling for cash and then making a 29 year old Right Back (a non-essential) being our most expensive purchase when we are crying out for quality in other areas?

They are of an age to make the cut or move on, simple.
Walsh isn't as good as say atakayi and Sinnamon isn't as good as Beerman. The latter players are younger and have better potential so why hold them back to keep these guys.

Ibrox Loyal, I got this info 2nd hand but came from MW himself.
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying we can't afford him but I assume we are trying to keep Barton money for other people.
MW was just saying 15k is too much for us to fork out on him particularly.

Unfortunately it doesn't look likely. We have had discussions but we are reluctant to pay the 50% of wage we would need to pay (he is currently on 30k - 15k has been deemed too much) .
Some may remember I wrote last week about a prem team player on loan in Spain but talks had broken down.
This was your man.

I'm not saying I'm happy with how it's going etc but this was not your normal preseason friendly for bleeding youngsters and trying new stuff. This was about getting back into match fitness and mentality after a break.
We needed our first team back together.

We need to look further afield in my opinion.
E. G Partizan Belgrade have just been banned from Europe for 3 years as they can't pay bills and their squad is full of solid young players.
Striker Djurdjevic is banging them in!

Tav at right back with Hodson on left. All day long. Experience counts. Playing centre backs out wide when we have these players available is crazy.

It's a winner for me!
We could get a few bob for either Hodson/ Tav too. Personally I'd let Hodson go.
