Is Forrester injured or has his disappearance from squad been due to the new management team not thinking he has to be a sub in every game?

1.) 10 Apr 2017 17:32:45
forresters attitude meant to be honkin tbh if were looking to close the gap on celtic and the sheep he is not the answer
another championship level player

2.) 10 Apr 2017 21:25:53
Forgot about Harry. I doubt Pedro doesn't fancy him. I think he definitely has something to offer to be fair

3.) 10 Apr 2017 21:26:52
Heard he's on the new season of, the only way is essex.

4.) 10 Apr 2017 22:26:12
Selfish player, offers nothing diferent or anything better than what we have.

5.) 11 Apr 2017 10:43:14
Oh don't get me wrong guys. I'm not a fan of him. Kinda hoping he's let go. Make room for someone who can push us forward.

6.) 11 Apr 2017 11:15:44
Wallace is the best LB at the club so he has to b number 1 choice against the tic as for hyndman good young player on his day but it will all b same as it has been rangers linked with ryan jack he end up at celtic to same as we were in for christie now at the sheep ended up at tic park so no matter wat player playing in scottish football rangers linked with will all end up at the tic jack crawford etc we may as well try sign the teletubbies but that would mean approaching the tic to sign them lol

7.) 11 Apr 2017 19:13:24
Wallace is injured for both games against them so wee beerman will be playing end of

8.) 11 Apr 2017 21:13:24
Got to agree coldo, i don't know if he's to selfish or its a case of trying to hard to impress but i don't think he's the answer if we're serious about challenging this mhob anytime soon

9.) 11 Apr 2017 21:28:02
Spot on coldo, very selfish, never forgive him for not passing to dodoo at ibrox old firm game

10.) 11 Apr 2017 22:30:29
I think Wallace is out for the Selik game anyway but I've no fear about young Beerman playing against them.

27 Dec 2016 00:22:36
Guys we have been looking at a young attacking mid in Spain on loan (not jota) but his parent club wanted us to pay half his wages and this was a little too much for us so it's off at present.

1.) 27 Dec 2016 17:39:08
Sergi Canos? Seems like a great wee player, think we are still waiting on a decision from him to see if he wants to come up north on loan.

2.) 28 Dec 2016 08:44:35
It's not Canos as he would currently be playing in Spain and belongs to a prem team!

3.) 28 Dec 2016 16:11:07
Whats the young players name we are trying to get bluegenius?

20 Jul 2016 12:39:12
Online rumour we are looking at ivica oli. 36 and free.

1.) 20 Jul 2016 13:07:22
Aston villa and Newcastle apparently interested in him as well. Would you want him at Ibrox?

2.) 20 Jul 2016 13:22:50
Certainly fits 1 of the age brackets we are currently shopping in.

3.) 20 Jul 2016 13:44:47
He's retired lol.

4.) 20 Jul 2016 14:10:55
Announced his international retirement in March and then announced he would be retiring from club football to take on youth coaching role at Hamburg shortly after.

5.) 20 Jul 2016 19:17:18
Certainly hope not 2 goals for hamburg last season. We already have Kenny up top as the veteran we don't need another.

26 Jun 2016 02:21:16
Hey lads,

My wee source is telling md that when The hat and the squad leave for America on Monday big Davie Weir is staying as our next possible signing is coming up on Monday to see the set up!

1.) 26 Jun 2016 13:25:55
I'd like to think weir will go and mc p will stay was hoping weir would be taking training with the defenders any new names being mentioned today hope we could be waiting on the Northern Ireland plane landing take a few of they players they played well.

2.) 26 Jun 2016 14:27:33
Humey like who exactly lol would cost a fair bob.

3.) 26 Jun 2016 14:31:46
I know but it might be worth looking to see who's out of contract and go from there is evens not out contract Jonny.

4.) 26 Jun 2016 16:23:03
Might be totally coincidental but I seen Weir and McParland at Gretna services yesterday. Don't think they were getting married though lol. Going on a spying mission or having talks with someone?

5.) 26 Jun 2016 17:04:48
Both Weir and mcparland staying. I believe they were down south looking at someone but I didn't hear their exact location. May have been Brighton area.

6.) 26 Jun 2016 21:00:11
Or could have been anywhere else in England or the Scottish border along with that thinking.

7.) 27 Jun 2016 08:10:29
Scott I don't mean as he was at Gretna. I was party to a conversation where MW himself said Big Davie was travelling back up but I couldn't make out where from but he may have said Brighton as that is what it sounded like.

8.) 27 Jun 2016 16:40:45
Well Weir is on the plane so not staying behind source wrong Bluegenius.

18 Jun 2016 19:23:38
Lads I told u ages ago we were signing a defender who appeared in cup final for Palace!

1.) 18 Jun 2016 20:36:48
Another excellent signing he will be he is a good player strong defender but also quick so will fit perfect along side hill and can also play right back. great signing again so happy with this transfer window😃.

2.) 18 Jun 2016 21:49:12
Sorry who is the new signing.

3.) 19 Jun 2016 09:45:32
I believe I started going on about mariappa last week gents! Would be a terrific signing! Far better defender than taylor.

4.) 19 Jun 2016 11:03:13
No - one yet bluebear. Mariappa up for talks. I heard this was in the pipeline a week or 2 after fa cup final and posted it here.

5.) 19 Jun 2016 12:02:53
Good player I posted on here donkeys ago about this. Was the first post of its kind.

6.) 19 Jun 2016 12:04:35
Spot on Bluegenius remember you saying it.

7.) 18 Jun 2016 20:40:08
From the players mouth 2night he has not got anything lined up. Although he could be playing matters down.

8.) 19 Jun 2016 00:35:33
I love how excited we are all getting. Let's be honest these players couldn't lace a 9 in a row boot but from where we have came from and where we are going, it's exactly the type of signings we need.

I never thought we could win the league going straight up, but I'm starting to believe it's going to happen. We are signing the best available on frees. Warburton has proved he has something in the magic hat. Just Niko, cover for Lb and decent striker and I'd say we are finished. could the possible loanees be strikers?

9.) 20 Jun 2016 11:13:01
we will never get anywhere the 9 in a row team again!

but i do agree we are going in the right direction not sure about the loanees being the strikers though as i thinkn we will be in the market to buy one and its still early doors now.

12 Apr 2017 18:30:09
Ok lads, a wee bit of fun. As Caixinha has hinted he will buy Scottish. let's see your Budget squad from around Scotland that you would. No current players and certainly no timmys!

Ill start.

Joe Lewis

Callum Paterson
Liam Lindsay
Michael Devlin
Tony Gallagher

Chris Cadden
Ryan Jack
Kenny McLean
Jamie Walker

Louis Moult
Jason Cummings

Subs: Zander Clark
John Souttar
John McGinn
Sam Nicholson
Ali Crawford
Bjorn Johnsen

there is the odd name thrown in there to make up the numbers but it was fun.

1.) 12 Apr 2017 19:24:11
The only two that might make a difference for me are Calum Patterson and Ryan Jack. I would like to think that with Caixihna's connections that we will sign quality players from Portugal and South America, (Mexico being a prime example)!

We will not overtake Celtic with players like John McGinn, Zander Clark and Michael Devlin

2.) 12 Apr 2017 20:58:56
I would like Ped to go for Miguel Veloso he's a DM and his contrat expires this summer, wee bit old but way better than Halliday. He played under Pedro in Sporting Lisbon.

3.) 12 Apr 2017 21:24:29

4.) 12 Apr 2017 21:42:27
Totally agree Ajax, he's a cracking player. Only 30 so still a few good years left in him.

5.) 12 Apr 2017 21:28:22
It was not suggesting we go for them all. Just a wee bit of fun.

6.) 12 Apr 2017 21:29:02
The only one I would take out of that is Cummings! As TOMUSA says we won't catch Celtic with that group of players! We need to think outside the box and go foreign and hopefully produce a few gems that way.

7.) 12 Apr 2017 21:33:36
John mcginn is a cracking young player, who will only get better the older he gets, I don't know if you get many Scottish championship games out in the us of a but hibs don't look the same team without him and the boy is only 21, rangers would be lucky to get him .

8.) 13 Apr 2017 15:55:57
Budget scottish squad? The likes of patterson cummings jack cadden would all command 1 million pound transfers. As would rooney.

9.) 13 Apr 2017 18:49:42
Mcginn is awful. Doesn't even look good in the championship. All this hype just like Stephen before him because of who their grandad is. John mcginn isn't half the player halliday is and he isn't very good either.

10.) 13 Apr 2017 19:21:44
Fab, I don't usually find myself agreeing with you, but I agree with your last post 100% mate. I have post on here on a couple of occassions about John McGinn. He is a fine young player and in my opinion one of the best young Scottish talents just now. a lot of my fellow bears can't see past the end of their nose when it comes to him and its because of two reasons; 1, He is a Hibs player and 2, and more importantly he is a Celtic fan.

11.) 13 Apr 2017 22:41:51
We don't see Scottish Championship games in the US, but the problem, as we are seeing with Rangers this season, it is a different ball game when you are playing against SPL sides or are playing in Europe.

What we do see in Texas is a lot of South American games, Mexican League games in particular, and there is a lot of quality on show. Good players with a bit of dig and hopefully Pedro knows a few of them!

28 Mar 2017 12:07:24
I feel a bit aggrieved at the prospect of Gilmour leaving but I don't get the people saying Rangers or our management team aren't doing enough to keep him.

We CANNOT match Chelsea financially.

Therefore we have to offer a clearer road to success.

With Chelsea he can play for the reserves (alongside and against and other talented players), Go on loan to top championship clubs or euro clubs that are good at development.
With Rangers (in the current set up) play in our reserves against Scottish development teams or going onn lan to queen of the South. Not ideal!

1.) 28 Mar 2017 12:26:06
I get what you're saying, but there's no guarantee he'll be loaned out to a team that are "good at development". What we need to do is prove that we are! If he has the potential that is hyped, he SHOULD be able and allowed to break into the first team at Ibrox in the next couple of seasons. That's what should persuade him to stay.

2.) 28 Mar 2017 14:35:05
This lad will be sold to Chelsea and loaned back to us for development.

3.) 28 Mar 2017 16:06:26
Good observation Robbie. We could do a lot worse than cultivate a relationship with Chelsea and we've got to bear in mind the boy's not 16 yet and nowhere near ready for first team action. He'll get better coaching and will play against and with some of the best of his age group in Europe and will benefit from that. I'm a bit biased in that Chelsea are my second team but he and his family have made the right decision and hopefully he'll be loaned as Robbie suggests. Time will tell.

4.) 28 Mar 2017 16:56:50
BlueIsTheColour - yeah I agree we need to prove we are best for his development. My issue is that in the time between being a developing young 15 year old and being of a physical stature to cope with first team physicality of Scottish game there is no real platform for that development.
Development league is poor and lower divisions are worse.
Ideally we could work with a smaller team in a country with a decent development history (Eerste Div in Netherlands for example) like Chelsea/ Vitesse do.

5.) 28 Mar 2017 18:16:36
It's a hard choice he can to Chelsea earn a fortune but maybe not succeed and end up in like feruz but he may succeed and end up far better than he would here. You never know.

6.) 28 Mar 2017 18:17:08
500k for a wee boy I'll take that, be lucky if we get that for any of warburton players.

7.) 29 Mar 2017 11:03:36
If the boy Gilmore goes to Chelsea if would be good to try and strike some loan deals off them! Tammy Abraham, Atsu, maizga and Brown are top talented players who would only benefit from playing with Rangers!

8.) 29 Mar 2017 11:09:25
Caixinha wants Billy Gilmour to remain at Rangers so hopefully he does and goes on to be a first team regular.
If he fullfills his potential then he might command a substantial transfer fee for the club in later years.
We as a club need to keep our best young players at Ibrox.

9.) 29 Mar 2017 16:17:46
If we really truly want to keep him, put a ridiculous amount on him say about £2 million.

20 Mar 2017 14:46:34
Looking into the next season and changes affot. Who would be everyone's top 3 players to get rid?

Having said this I am also looking forward to seeing the effect a new manager has on everyone and will probably change my mind on at least one.

1.) 20 Mar 2017 17:05:03
I would add Halliday with that group bluegenius.

2.) 20 Mar 2017 17:19:00
Keirnan, Keirnan and Keirnan

3.) 20 Mar 2017 17:22:09

4.) 20 Mar 2017 17:43:38
Forgot about keirnan stu lol.

5.) 20 Mar 2017 19:02:12
It would be impossible to pick just three players to leave. better asking who we would keep then it would be realistic to find three players.

6.) 20 Mar 2017 20:30:43
Halliday kiernen senderos forrister ohalleren windass and would put dodoo out on loan

7.) 20 Mar 2017 21:20:49
O, Halloran

Its really hard to narrow it down to 3

8.) 20 Mar 2017 22:08:52

9.) 21 Mar 2017 02:37:26
Forrester has ability, whether he has the right attitude is the question. I thin we can take it as read that Senderos will go and I would add Kiernan to the list. Perhaps Warburton will take him and Halliday to Forrest, Halliday would be at the top of my departure list!

10.) 21 Mar 2017 11:08:30
Forrester (if he doesn't get his nasty side back)
Possibly crooks if he isn't up for coming back and winning over pedro

Sign weiss, 2 centre backs, a defensive midfielder, a replacement for hyndman and finally a striker

11.) 21 Mar 2017 11:09:54
Personally I would let Pedro decide (and he will)

12.) 21 Mar 2017 11:10:51
I would get rid of a lot more if possible

There are certain other players who i might consider if the right offer came in

We need a better standard of player for next season

13.) 21 Mar 2017 11:11:37
Aye bluey let's let pedro decide, we can only hope he gets it right.

14.) 21 Mar 2017 11:25:57
Dodoo, ohalloran, forrester and kiernan

15.) 21 Mar 2017 11:29:51
Kiernan, Senderos and O'Halloran. I think Pedro might get something out of Halliday as a squad player, but the other three are complete duds.

16.) 21 Mar 2017 11:24:18
Why would you want rid of windass? When he plays it's obvious he has more ability than nearly the rest of the squad combined and he's not afraid to get stuck in like some guys like dodoo.

04 Mar 2017 22:58:56
The big thing I noticed today was our effectiveness and movement at corners. What a change.

1.) 05 Mar 2017 00:35:11
Hamilton were poor defensively but we did try to mix it up which was refreshing to see! Although it should have happened all season

2.) 04 Mar 2017 23:43:04
We were more direct in general, Bluegenius, and as I've said so many times before, the stats that Warburton was so fond of were actually his problem. His possession stats were through the roof but with no end product. Now the possession stat is falling game by game because we're having more shots, more crosses, which create goals but naturally lead to less possession. Possession is totally meaningless. Goals count, nothing else.

3.) 05 Mar 2017 08:53:58
I was glad that Toral put in a great second half performance, but the midfield is also a HUGE area of concern. As much as i hate to say this, Broonie is going to bully them off the ball with ease. For me we have to put Halliday in for Holt against the tic for that little extra steel. I know he has been playing really crap recently. But i believe if you have both him and Toral offering protection the to defense and then Hyndman or Forrester offering the spark, we could get a result

4.) 05 Mar 2017 10:06:11
I wouldn't have Halliday anywhere near the team. Holt is not the answer for next season but he is young enough to improve. Halliday is a waste of a jersey, has a chip on his shoulder and will hopefully not be seen again in a Rangers jersey unless there is a fundamental change of attitude.

5.) 05 Mar 2017 10:32:36
Hey TOMUSA - i get your point, although I don't know where you have got the whole 'chip on shoulder' situation. He hasn't been playing well, but he has been playing out of position which has been obvious. Toral is also being deployed in that role right now, but with the mid 3 of Toral, Hyndman (who are 21 and 20 respectively) and the pint sized holt, We would be overrun in a heartbeat and kenny would be spending most of his time in the mid trying to dig in and help out. Halliday offers a little more bite and can offer a 'little' more experience in the middle of the park.

6.) 05 Mar 2017 10:53:55
I agree with you Teddy that if our midfield tries to battle it out with Brown we will lose but I also agree with TOMUSA in that Halliday is not the answer. He has played dreadfully for most of the season and was totally outplayed by Brown when we've played them this season. I'd stick with the current three but put Tav in with them and Hodson in at RB) . I'd also put McKay in midfield with them and Miller up front on his own. We're away to them so defend for our lives (nearly impossible for us I know! ) and either sneak a draw or a lucky win. If we try to match them reckon we"ll get hammered

01 Mar 2017 13:30:16
Good afternoon Gents,

I would firstly like to voice my anger at Clint Hill.
"3rd would represent a successful season"?
That statement is unacceptable from anyone at Ibrox when we have held second whilst having a poor season.
They should be fighting tooth and nail to get back there and solidify 2nd and close the gap to first as best they can. Nothing less is acceptable.

Now most people here are crying out for 4-4-2 and I would like to see us give it a go but my concern is we do not have the midfield players for this. We need at least one dynamic, defensive mid to support our 2 CB's. There is NO-ONE in our squad who can do this to an acceptable level.
Looking at our squad and our frailties I think 3-5-2/ 3-4-1-2 is our best option.

3 CB's - One playing slightly in front of 2 (almost CDM) trying to break play up early if being attacked centrally and dropping back to cover spaces if we are attacked on wing and CB's drawn wide.

Our wing backs Could sit in more centrally with 2 CM's forming a barrier of 4 in front of CB's when not in possession but going wide when we get ball.

1 AM in free role behind strikers

2 strikers!

E. G

Hill Wilson

Tav Halliday Hyndman Wallace

Garner Miller.

1.) 01 Mar 2017 15:07:51
Like your optimism blue genius and your dynamic thoughts on how game should be played. GENIUS I'm contacting my mate who does the odds for William Hill to install you as favourite for managers post

2.) 01 Mar 2017 15:54:20
Hill meant in regards to finishing in a Europa spot that 3rd is no different than 2nd in terms of where we start the qualifyers.

3.) 01 Mar 2017 16:37:53
bluedrama, think your mate will have him at long odds, after all that dynamic thinking and then has Halliday in his line up.

4.) 01 Mar 2017 17:10:03
Definate rangeken. Football is matter of opinions and I would not have Kieran or Halliday near the team. It shows the options we have. Why Warburton never addressed defence is beyond me.

5.) 01 Mar 2017 17:36:37
Govanite I did get his point but you have to stand up and say 3rd is unacceptable no matter what. 2nd is bad enough for Rangers!
Rangeken I understand your doubt over my team selection but I was not meaning the particular players just giving an example of how they should set out. Having said that Kiernan I have named 3 out of our 4 centre backs we have and Kiernan is one of the better passers hence him being at front.
As for Halliday well I would also have dropped him but I do sympathise with him as he is never a CDM and has been made nervous by being pushed into that position. When he was further forward the other night he looked better (still not the best tho) .

6.) 01 Mar 2017 19:42:21
You destroy your argument by putting Halliday in your team! That is like playing with then men!

7.) 01 Mar 2017 19:28:36
When a player comes out and says 3rd place is successful, you now have the reason we are in 3rd. Not one player from the past would ever think 3rd is good enough never mind make a statement claiming this. Total lack of any kind of leadership why is the ream captain allowing player to think this no way would previous captains BF, RG, TB let this happen Shambles

Arteta did preach to Wenger about Ibrox being a great place for a youngster to be bled. This is why we ended up with so many Arsenal links.

So you want to sell Wilson and keep Kiernan? OK!
