I like Sands brought in as a versatile player but mainly as holding midfielder, had to be patient then had to cover at centre half, his height is an issue there but done a job there when we needed him.
We saw yesterday when he is playing in his natural position how effective he is, plays it simple, aggressive, covers the ground well,
Gives Tav and Barasic confidence to go forward when we have an athletic midfielder that can cover for them.
Similar to what Jack and Kamara done well the season we won the title.

I thought sands had a very good game yesterday. Kings was turned inside out for the Aberdeen goal. If you are looking for someone to blame Macrae he would be your man.

Our players have been that bad that if they play average at best they were outstanding. That’s how bad they have been. Shows you where we are the now. Much better performance. Still very wasteful but happy we won because I had a bad feeling abt yesterdays game for over a week.

I thought it was our best domestic team performance of the season against aberdeen yesterday ???A lot of very good performances but i couldn't split big john lundstram and fashion sakala as men of the match, as they were truly superb ?
I honestly also thought kent was better than what he's been, although i do understand that wouldn't be hard ?James sands and john lundstram looked good together and it allowed big john to make those runs forward ???.

I think he had a good game yesterday and looked comfortable. However, was in the same position against Napoli and was off certainly the pace. I wouldn’t say he covers the ground that well and is lacking pace. Now obviously a large step up between Napoli and Aberdeen and the fact that it had been a bit of time since he had played in midfield can give him a bit of leeway. I certainly don’t feel CB is the best position for him as too short/ weak and gets turned to easily with lack of recovery pace.

I’d like to see him get a run in the team in the midfield (although might not happen with our defensive injuries) as feel he shows for the ball in the centre better than others for the defence to play in to which we lack. As normally Lundstrum needs to do the job of 2 men himself so gets bypassed and a big reason why we play the ball around with our defence a lot and our full backs pass the ball back a lot when there is not a pass on to the wingers (as Arfield is clearly always told to make a run forward and Davis drops too deep to receive the ball)

Ok macrae sands bang average for a miss placed pass ?whats your thoughts on king getting took to the cleaners and tav ball watching for the goal are they bang average? Sands had a good game, and he's an ok player. That's it! Some seem to think he's worse than what he is, while some think he's better than what he is. Go figure!

Sws that is what I like about Sands in the cm, Lundstram likes get forward and he does it very well, he loves a strike on goal he will get far more goals this season with Sands along side him in midfield.

McRae, think you’ll find that it was McGregors goal kick that led to their goal - he touched the ball long before Sands.

OK, there were something like 36 touches between things but should the keeper be deemed innocent because he is a legend?
