Here's a wee thought, would we need any better or worse off at this stage of the season if we had signed Van Veem, Porteous and maybe Armstrong from killie? 3 guys who know the league and have done a job in the league. Not world beaters but capable.

Can’t say we’d be better but don’t think we would be any worse. My biggest regret is not going for Ferguson, Doig and Shankland and not being able to attract Veerman and Doekhi. The 2 Dutch would have kicked us up a gear but they didn’t want to come and combine with a Scottish natural goal scorer in shankland and a work horse midfielder like Ferguson we would not be in this position. All ifs and buts though.

Did you see van veen freekick goal? Peach! I miss the hammer, Amoruso type free kick, everything is floaty! Some occasional great goals but more often than not weak.
