Kevin Van Veen claiming we're interested in him (herald). Not what we need in my opinion.

Gustavo3

1.) 05 Jan 2024 10:35:49
I think we should be but the fact he is saying we are means we are not ? and he is trying to drum up interest.

2.) 05 Jan 2024 10:44:36
Heart and Hand have repeatedly said the club have stated no interest in van veen.

3.) 05 Jan 2024 12:38:37
Motherwell have just sold Wilkinson to Colchester so that's the likely destination for Van Veen.

Any news on the Alex Lowry injury? Rags say potentially serious knee injury - praying it's not the case ??.

Gustavo3

1.) 25 Aug 2022 10:17:39
Getting a scan on his knee. won't know until we're told. All the news on here was kent done his metatarsal.

2.) 25 Aug 2022 10:44:40
Kent kept feeling his foot last nite if he been playing with injury.

3.) 25 Aug 2022 11:11:49
Intr, yea I noticed Kent giving himself some attention, but I noticed an opposition player stand on Kent’s foot (by accident ) obviously, as it was a fairly clean game, mate.

Been offline with my own issues but interested to read the opinions for our new manager.
Personally I say give Davis and the others until Xmas, steady the ship and as the man himself said, try and get some pride back.
For me, if the gaffer thought McInnes was good enough then he’ll do for me. Restore our identity, he knows the league and what’s required from the very basics at which we are currently failing miserably. Give the man his chance I say.

1.) 04 Oct 2023 21:32:57
Beale knew the league and so did Gio both absolutely rank rotten domestically. I hate this bs we need someone who knows the league. Football is played with 22 players a ball and 2 goals no matter what league you’re in. Ange has been the best manager in this country in donkeys and he had 0 ties to the league.

2.) 04 Oct 2023 22:22:31
100 percent if ange went directly to spurs he would be doing exactly what he's doing now he's a fantastic manager its a shame he's just getting recognised this late in his career he have.

3.) 04 Oct 2023 22:54:35
Correct David and McInnes would send us back even longer would be more ridiculous appointment than Beale.

4.) 04 Oct 2023 23:03:13
Agree cooper, a really like big ange a need to say.
The guys not only a great manager but a class act as a person.
Anyone who doesn’t like the guy is just being twisted and biased.

5.) 05 Oct 2023 01:24:53
There is absolutely no guarantee that these interim coaches will “steady the ship”. Rangers are two games away from lifting a League Cup trophy, we have a fantastic chance to make the Europa League knockout rounds. These two targets should be achieved as an absolute minimum. If not, it’s more failure and humiliation x Especially in the case of the League Cup.

Also, the domestic League has a 7 point gap but there is no reason why we cannot pull that back. There is over 30 league games to be played, and 3 Old Firm games to go. If we end up double figures behind Celtic, and getting pumped off Celtic at Parkhead in the next Old Firm then that will be season over.

We must give ourselves the very best chance of success. That means putting the very best man we can find in the managerial role. Are Davis and Rae the very best we can find? No.

6.) 05 Oct 2023 07:08:05
I agree with storm here McInnis would be like taking us back to Warburton murty mccoist.

06 Sep 2023 10:17:40
Interesting chat at work today about what potential Scottish managers would be up to the Rangers job. As much as I like David Martindale I think the jobs a bit too big for him! Usual suspect McInnes mentioned, thought I’d gauge the opinion on here. Cheers.

1.) 06 Sep 2023 10:54:47
None Gustavo 3 imo mate ? If anything were to happen to beale i would like to see us going for bielsa, knutsen or potter ? All experienced and play a good brand of attacking football ?.

2.) 06 Sep 2023 10:59:23
I want someone with totally fresh ideas and no previous link or opinions on this squad.

3.) 06 Sep 2023 11:07:38
Mcinnes is a difficult one not sure if his bottle would go in the big games think he would build a solid enough squad just not sure he’s got the cahoots to be able to win continuously

The club need too be able to replicate what Celtic do pull a manager who has real back bone and will have players running through brick walls

Who that is I have no idea some names mention in the likes of Potter - I genuinely wouldn’t ever see him even consider coming up here
takes a manager with a bit of bottle and vision knowing that they do well they can and would get offers from down south like Ange did he knew what he was capable of and had a vision and a Plan on where he wanted the Celtic job to lead too and he executed it pretty perfectly

Rodger’s went too Leicester which he done not bad until I think in reality he was working with a hand tied behind his back by the end of his reign their
If he does well again as he did first time around then I’m sure another big English club will eventually come calling and I think that’s what he’s banking on?

as for us if Beale where to go this is where Bisgrove and Bennet need to really knuckle down and bring in someone who is going to be able to replicate all that Rodger’s and Ange managed to do over the road and ultimately bring the success we all crave.

4.) 06 Sep 2023 11:39:18
The only Scottish manager I’d consider at present would be Davie Moyes.

5.) 06 Sep 2023 11:49:02
I know I will be shout down in flames but the obvious choice would be Stevie Clark. Very good manager but I’d doubt he would come to us.

Mcinnes is another good manager as is Kettlewell at Motherwell and Robinson at st mirren. All have their teams very well organised. These are the best in Scotland.

I remember when wee Dick left and we brought on big Alex McLeish. He was up against a very good Celtic manager in Martin O’Neil and an excellent Celtic team. However he added a bit if steal and organisation to our team and most of all he knew the league well. He won 2 titles, 2 Scottish cups and 3 league cups, including a treble. So the fancy foreigner doesn’t always work. Why not give someone who knows the league a try?

6.) 06 Sep 2023 11:50:11
Just to add big Eck’s brand of football was shocking at times but very effective ??.

7.) 06 Sep 2023 11:58:34
Davie Moyes manages in the epl, rangers have no chance at him.

8.) 06 Sep 2023 12:03:22
Alex Neil currently at Stoke City in the Championship? Otherwise, lure Gerrard back!

9.) 06 Sep 2023 12:07:36
Not sure who I’d prefer but if there is someone on boards mind wd like to see them sitting in directors box at next home game with cameras on and see how Beale feels about that . Karma!

10.) 06 Sep 2023 12:09:10
McInnes is a lazy choice, just like Beale no thanks.

11.) 06 Sep 2023 12:29:40
Coops, you are someone i agree with most of the time but beilsa? We don't need someone who will make us loose more goals. I stand by picking Kettlewll as the Scottish manager i'd have in. Moyes would be good and leaving the hammers wouldn't be as far fetched as you think. Go on west ham rumours the disrespect and contempt is unbelievable. As for Martindale, there would be a conflict of interest as it is a well known secret in livi that he is in fact one of the owners but is past would draw up too many questions. One thing why leave a job where you can't get sacked, he's the reason the other managers left and the fact they have money he is effectively the only choice they have.

12.) 06 Sep 2023 13:18:23
Big Eck also the first manager to get a Scottish club to the last 16 of the Champions League.

13.) 06 Sep 2023 13:37:40
No decent managers in Scotland, McInnes is a bottle merchant against the other mob, Kettlewell is having a good run but it won`t last, likewise Robinson whose route 1 football is dreadful. As for Martindale, I just burst out laughing every time he`s mentioned . Imagine having this wee Glasgow gangster in charge of our great club, it would be the end . Jakey Clarke can stay at Scotland, we don`t want him, his attitude or style of football around our club.

14.) 06 Sep 2023 13:50:19
Lure Gerrard back? You have got to be kidding.

15.) 06 Sep 2023 14:18:41
Jakey Clarke? Are you an adult?

16.) 06 Sep 2023 14:52:34
Whoever it is it must be someone the players respect.
They all respected Gerrard and fought so hard for him.
They clearly do not respect Beale, that is obvious.

17.) 06 Sep 2023 15:03:28
Martindale only acts glasgow gangster he was brought up in craigshill and isn't seen as a gangster but police informant.

18.) 06 Sep 2023 15:27:57
I think McInnes would be ideal in the short term - steady the ship, bring back a bit of spirit and I actually think he'd play on football with better players at his disposal.

But something tells me he wouldn't be a mid/ long term solution - which, from what I've been told is why he knocked it back previously.

I'd like us to go down the Scandi-route.

19.) 06 Sep 2023 15:28:07
Clarke is a decent manager, very clued up, as for Gerrard he ain’t a Scottish manager, won us the title, very grateful. But don’t want him back . Walked out on Gers for Aston Vile and failed big time, as for Martindale has’nt he got his own £££ tied up at Livi . It would be an illegal appointment, which might suit him and Tony Soprano ?.

20.) 06 Sep 2023 15:53:54
Brummieger do you know him or anyone around him i do and there are a few of them. They bought pubs and property first and i can tell you he has cash in that club.

21.) 06 Sep 2023 16:27:22
Brimmieger look into what Martindale was done for. He wasnt caught doing a couple of lines in the toilet he was part of a network shipping coke into Scotland. A very lucrative business but comes at a heavy price yet when everyone involved got massive sentences he didn't ?. I know local guys he set up for things nowhere near as bad as the things he was doing.

22 Jul 2023 18:28:47
Decent contest today, got to say I was impressed with Souttar and the two youngsters Yfeko and Rice - Rice in particular looked very comfortable and confident. The biggest positive for me though was Roofe - he looked like a player with a point to prove, praying he stays fit, he’s like a new signing.

Gustavo3

1.) 22 Jul 2023 21:01:10
Roofe really looked sharp and focused i agree Gustavo3.

04 Apr 2023 18:40:32
Actually just read it on bbc myself. Thoughts?

Gustavo3

1.) 04 Apr 2023 21:20:42
I met John Bennett when he was part of the three beats looking to acquire the club, he seemed a very clever and very articulate guy. He seemed a genuine Rangers fan and wanted the best for the club and was less concerned about his own personal indulgence. Time will tell.

2.) 04 Apr 2023 21:49:53
3 bears I meant.

3.) 05 Apr 2023 11:25:39
He wasn't one of the three bears. That was Gilligan, King and Murray.

4.) 05 Apr 2023 13:01:53
Guys go and read who the three bears were, are
Not Bennett, king, Murray nor gilligan.

The three bears were Park, Taylor and Leatham, who joined king and Murray to rid our club off the parisites.

5.) 05 Apr 2023 19:53:10
Apologies he wasn’t the three bears, was it knights or something?

04 Apr 2023 18:38:28
Any truth in the rumour that Douglas Park has resigned? Pinch of salt considering the source is Ibrox noise via my brother!

Gustavo3

1.) 04 Apr 2023 20:29:44

2.) 04 Apr 2023 20:35:20

Might be a good idea to move him on before he goes for nothing. Devine, Yilmaz, Yfeko, even Sterling can all cover the position until January.

The fact is Morelos was being paid thousands and thousands of pounds whilst throwing his toys out the pram and disrespecting the jersey. All the nonsense about players needing an arm round them etc etc just doesn’t wash with me - you put that jersey on you should be running yourself in to the ground for it, nothing else should be acceptable and that goes for a number of others still at the club.
