Cifuentes was MOTM to some people up at Pittodrie, don`t remember him even being close to MOTM at any other game . Jury definitely still out on him. Sands also got a couple of MOM awards at the start of last season unfortunately his good form didn`t last.

Absolutely a project in my eyes. Experience in failure as a manager. He needs a job like us to build up his reputation ie Brendan and Gerrard. We don’t need someone like him we need someone with a proven record of winning. He got lucky getting the Chelsea job and if he wasn’t former Chelsea legend Frank Lampard he would have been nowhere near the Chelsea and Everton job nor would he have been linked with us. They 2 run that dressing room. They are the experienced leadership group. Like it or not, every manager we’ve had has picked them and refused to drop them. Everyone else has had spells out, Borna, Alfie, Kent, Jack, Lundstram. We need a manager in who will have the balls to look at the players for what they are and be prepared to upset the players who aren’t pulling their weight knowing they are undroppable.

My god man the hysteria on here is crazy at some times. We’re not rich. We’re not skint. FFP and past spending means we need to be careful. Look at England, the richest league in the world where very few signings were made because teams are now aware there will be punishment in terms of points deductions. I’m sure Rangers tried everything to get a striker they wanted but it didn’t come off and would rather they didn’t panic buy or throw too much money like we did with Dessers and Lammers and wait for tjr right striker to come along in the summer. End of the day our wage bill is huge, we have several strikers on the books injured, it is what it is.

Hardly a disaster mate. Definitely not ideal, but certainly not a disaster. Kept all our first choice players, let go of lammers and potentially Cifuentes, added young quality in Dio and Cortes and a £35m player on loan. A striker was what we needed but it’s not a disaster of a window like you say.
