Bears I for one wanted ally mccoist out of the managers seat, as we all now know he wasn't good enough to fill that role, a great player for us and contributed to many a trophy, but I think it is terrible the people trying to ruin our club have banned him for ricks ends testimonial, thoughts bears

I agree totally other george but in showing more and more people what type of disgusting people the board are to a man this functions perfectly, anyone that has the tiniest doubts should at look at poor Fernando's life as it is now and then judge what type of a man you have to be to bar ANYONE from coming to that poor lad's testimonial. The fact it is a man, despite all my personal opinions on McCoist s a manager, who actually could cheer anyone up at their lowest ebb is for me beyond contempt.
I would say the board are very much about spin and trying to seem like they give a f**k so do not be surprised to hear irvine of tweedle dum or tweedle dee announce they are "pleased to welcome one of the Rangers 'family' back home to Ibrox at such atime of emotional distress for our brother Ricksen"! They are beyond sick in the head nothing would surprise me.
Actually Ashley is such an arrogant c**t do not be surprised to see him take his seat at his throne "IbroxDirect" any day soon, it would not remotely surprise me if he does it at Fernando's match just to show he doesn't give a flying f**k about us fans and our protasts.

As a player I loved Ally McCoist, but I lost a lot of respect for him during his managerial role, not just because he was a bad manager but I believe he tried to treat us fans like as if we were stupid, but a lot of fans saw through his rubbish. (maybe one day when the truth comes out I will be proved wrong). I agree he shouldn't turn up at Ibrox for the testimonial, but only for the reason that they're are still a lot of fans who love Ally and with emotions still running high at the moment, it will probably turn into the Ally McCoist show, when the day is for Fern

Royalblue : this all about Rickson and i'm sure if you asked him if he would want Ally there he would say yes this is about the Rangers family getting together to help out ex Rangers player who needs our help its time for 90mins we put all this boardroom crap to bed get as many ex players on the park and raise as much money as we can I will return to my seat for the first time since shareholders meeting but only for this game and I hope Ally will be there for god sake its a TESTIMONIAL

Fellow posters I was probably as guilty as anyone in the criticism of ally the manager, but had total respect for him as a player. There may be conditions in his contract's termination clauses that stop him. However, this night is for a great ex-player having difficult times and ally should be allowed to take his place in a night to assist Fernando in his fight.

He should never be allowed back into Ibrox, he has made far more money from Rangers misery than the Easedales and a lot of others, he was an integral part of their plan and was (and still is being) very well paid. It was his choice all the way down the line, he could have walked or talked instead he stayed and got paid and then shafted us one more time because now we are genuinely paying him for nothing compared to technically nothing before. Good riddance to him l hope he reaps as he has sown.

Smokey bear it's not about what mccoist done or never done for me it's about fernando, his testimony match, not ally's, I bet if they asked ricksen he would like ally to be there, and it is after all about fernando. its his night, it's like having a party and being told who to invite, and he you can't invite.

George123 you are right, if Fernando Ricksen wants him there he should be there for his match. Beyond that l stand by my post, l believe 100% that McCoist was deeply embroiled in all of this and when Dave King checks the dodgy deals done by past boards, as he has already said he will, l suspect McCoist will be exposed for what he really is. The shear amount of money he has already had is obscene, the fact that the club is still paying him while putting up lbrox against a payday loan to survive is just plain disgusting. He was supposed to be on our side to my mind that makes him worse than Green, White and all the rest of them put together, they screwed over strangers for profit McCoist did it to the Rangers family he claimed to love, which is up there with "l will play attacking football" and "youth will get a chance" and my personal favourite "l will walk if it's best for Rangers".

Smokey bear I always said on here his wages were ridiculous, and that he was never going to be a manager of any description, but it's fernando I feel for, when I saw him on TV show when his agent was interpretations for him, it brought a lot of tears to my eyes mate, as it does now as I type and think back, terrible disease, mate, though ime not a church goer I wonder if there is a god when we see people we know suffer like this, especially known there is no cure what so ever for this disease, terrible, but let's give fernando a good night, and that's why I think mccoist should be there as ime pretty sure fernando would be expecting him there, I also think the board have punched themselfs In the throat with there keeping mccoist from the game.

Smokey Bear

I am 100% in agreement with your post on the wondeful superally BUT this testimonial is neutral and ALL about Fernando Ricksen, for me anything that cheers him up or makes him feel loved is good and that includes mccoist being allowed to go. If as you point out he has plundered us for millions (he has and continues to) that is for his conscience to deal with.

I am George, total agreement from this wee guy, I seen in todays paper fernando would like mccoist there, so let's see if these heartless bar stewards allow mccoist into the stadium, as I think he will turn up, in defiance to the board, and in support for fernando.
