So Gerrard has said in press conference after debt match - there is no 1.75m offer for Eros Grezda only loan offered which have not met what Rangers want

And not confirmed bids for Morelos either
But Gerrard wants him to stay

Looks like we're going to be stuck with some of the fringe players that we really need shot of - probably down to the fact there all on good wages and getting paid to do nothing- infuriating

If we could lose a few then maybe we could go for another striker I feel like we really need one
Morelos is still missing opportunity's in front of goal - if he stays he REALLY needs to be hitting g the back of the net more times than he misses and he needs to also do it in the big games when we need them especially Europe and against our arch rivals
He might score 30 or more goals but we need him to be scoring in the big games as well as against the smaller opposition

And if not going to be able to do it we need another striker who might be more capable on the bigger stage
Defoe won't be able to play every game all season in every competition
And feel we could well do wth another striker.

What teams did Alfredo not score against? Celtic yes but who else hasn't be scored against. top scorer in the league which also helped rangers be the top scoring team last year. He is a better long term prospect that Defoe who isn't even our player.

Here I like Morelos but my point is - he’s still missing a lot of opportunity’s when they come - Gerrard himself has stated we need to be more clinical in front of goal

We should have scored at least 4 minimum but we didn’t why? Because WERE not clinical in front of goal and again Morelos missing a few opportunities

Maybe that’s why no one has came with the big big that keeps getting thrown about
Either he stays or goes - we still need to be more clinical and finish teams off otherwise it will be the same result

Guys I’m a huge rangers fan have been all my life I want what’s best for our team and I’m not slagging Morelos off but we need to do better if we want a good run in Europe and win the league first and foremost

We can’t afford stupid draws this year we should be going and putting teams in our league away every time
We have added quality we have the management team in place which is right for the club
It’s down to the payers now to really show what there maid of and get this league in the bag this year
We will have one of the highest wage bills now in Scotland so we need a result this year.

{Ed0333's Note - I agree with you mate I’m not sure Morelos is the player most Rangers fans think he is. Would he prolific in the Championship I’m not so sure. He’s no Ali Maoist that’s for certain. To pin you’re hopes on a player who has a volatile temperament and has questionable talent is folly if you ask me. I’d be looking for someone to supplement or replace him.

We all want what’s best for the club and we all have our opinions
If Morelos stays hopefully he keeps his head down and goes to score a barrow load
And if we are going to manage to find someone else to come in as some have said let’s hope it’s a Hately type of player.

{Ed0333's Note - I remember Hately he was sensational for you guys. You cannot rely on Morelos mate he’s very risky on so many levels. This is were you need good scouting and stellar academy coaching to unearth another Hately et al.

To say Morelos wouldn’t be prolific in the championship is a nonsense. He may not be EPL standard but against some of the dross in the Championship? English people really do have such an over-inflated opinion of your own game.

I have been critical of Morelos. It is so frustrating as there is a great player in there but his decision making is shocking at times and he does miss chances. Added to that his temperament and you have some negatives. On the flip side he is big, strong and fairly quick and is prepared to battle and run the channels. And he was top scorer in the spl last season despite missing so many games through suspension. Defoe is still class and razor sharp and looks as fit as a fiddle. Time is against him though and you would seriously doubt if he could play every game. I'd tend to take the money for Morelos as I suspect he wants to move, however I would hold out for at least 12m and a decent sell on fee. The lad is surely worth that. If he does go I'd expect the club to bring in at least one striker as Lafferty has also gone. A Hateley or Prso type would be a godsend and would set us up nicely for an assault on the title this season.

Can someone explain to me how a striker can have for e. g. 30 goals and say, 20 attempts? No you can’t. That’s effectively what you are saying you want. If you are not then what you are saying is if Morelos tried to score less goals but had a higher goal ratio that would be better! Because his stats would say so. LOL!

Seriously think about the sh! te you are spewing. The whole point of a striker is to shoot! Not count how many it takes until he scores. Just shoot!

If you really delved into it - how many goals out his 30 won the games last season and what teams were they against
No point in scoring 30 goals with games already won

If he’s going to be main striker he needs to be scoring week in week out and not the 2nd or 3rd goals

He needs to hit the back of the net in that game on Thursday if he’s the main striker up front and not be missing so if the good chances that come his way
