I said to my mates I wanted Beale when Gerrard left but didn't want him when Gio left, that may sound daft but when Gerrard left it was so it was an easier transition and relatively risk free ( money wise ) but after Gio I felt we needed a full trade manager and I don't in any way mean that to be disrespectful to Michael Beale, when he got the job I said right let's fully back him, my personal opinion the football was pretty dung for many games but he got results, he actually done really well bar the old firms, the signings of raskin and cantwell were great signings and definitely helped, what I did notice towards the end is we started developing a style and urgency, it was very pleasing to see the urgency and drive, it was like it took a good few months to get the players to click to that way of playing, this season In my opinion it was like going backwards again, but it's a transition period where players don't know wether they are coming or going and new players coming in, I'm not making excuses and results like that on Wednesday were totally unacceptable but the reaction and totally writing off new signings at this stage of the season is absolutely staggering, honestly man the negativity is beyond a joke, I just wish for once the full club and full support would get right behind the team and stop the negativity, I'm adamant the results would be huge, yes I know our demands make or break players but it's a different era now sadly, how many players must read the absolute drivel and abuse from own fans far less our biggest rivals, no wonder confidence is rubbish to bits, and before I get the aw but they are on bla bla bla wages they should deal with that it's simply not that easy, no one on earth who's an athlete / player reading derogatory comments about their ability off anyone far less own fans can not doubt themselves it's impossible, Ibrox passion and player ability ( 12th man ) took us to the Europa League final, let's not forget the power of the fans, but it works both ways, sorry for the essay bears, let's all try and get behind the team and make the new players know you give your all we will support you forever more

WATP.

Unfortunately we played our best football under Beale when nothing was at stake - the league was already won - and many were lulled into a false sense of where the team were heading after beating Celtic easily in a dead rubber.
You have to remember that Beale failed to beat Celtic when it mattered in the Cups.
Onto this season and we got our transfer business done early. Most of us were happy at certain signings apart from the glaring omission of the defence being looked at.
Beale thinks we are OK in that department - some of us still see the same failings whether we win, lose or draw.
When we win, who cares about the defence?
But when we aren’t firing up front and the defence gives away a cheap goal or makes an error then you can see where fans negatively stems from.
Doesn’t mean we don’t back the team - just we like to put forward our constructive criticism.

MPH, I don't actually blame Beale for the cup games, I think the players need to take responsibility for for missing chances or individual errors, I actually thought we were better team on more than one occasion but come down to fine margins of taking a chance or clearing a ball better.
