Is this right, 1 league title in 13 years? How is that acceptable?

Where have you been for the last 13 years?
Stuck in the Amazon rainforest, cut off from the outside World?

We have really fallen away haven’t we

I think we kid ourselves on these days but Celtic now are the dominant club in Scotland and it looks like it’s something we will have to put up with until we have massive investment to bring the club back to its former glory

But it’s not going to be anytime soon I don’t think

even if we win a title now and again I don’t see it being like the old days where we win 2.3.4 in a row like Celtic now can

They have managed to fill their bank account whilst we were down the leagues and we are not going to match that until like I say massive investor comes along which I don’t see at the moment unless someone can say different with absolute certainty?

I've been saying for a while now that we have become a club who will win the occasional title every 4-5 years and unless something radical changes, we need to accept that's what we are now.

Well this is how every other club in the country has felt forever.

Celtic were there for the taking this season and we bottled it big time.

Players not good enough etc etc But what players of a good level are going to come to Scotland, not many.

Oh well always next year lol.

massive investors don't help, they can't just plough money into the club due to FFP rules. they are dominant because they have a higher revenue stream than us, more seats to fill etc so its a difficult one to get over. apart from changing not only our manager as many times in the last couple of years but our on field set up changing from no wingers to wingers to no wingers to wingers again means huge on field changes every year. they are in the position now that for every 5 quid we spend they can if they wanted to spend 10 and without the threat of going into liquidation.

I posted the stats the other day that ended up in an article.

Currently Celtic have won 18 of the last 23 domestic trophies available (since we got back into the league) . If you look back further that doesn't include everything they won while we were working back up.

If they win the Scottish Cup (which they're heavy favourites for) it'll be 19 from 24.

Since 2016 we've won 3 trophies. 1 more than St Johnstone (a league during Covid where Celtic imploded) .

They've indeed won 12 of the last 13 league titles and if they win the Scottish cup go level on overall trophies won with us. They win the league next year, they equal 55.

We've beaten them once, once in the last 11 derbies.

There's one player in our squad gets in their team (Butland) and most of our first 11 don't even make their bench.

Yet I have to hear so many of my fellow Rangers fans telling me "there's not much in it".

We're delusional as a support. There's no datapoint you can look at objectively and conclude "there's not much in it". Celtic are miles ahead of us and it will take the kind of investment we don't have to get anywhere near them in future.

We have to get used to the idea that they're about to runaway from us in terms of trophies won. Unless something seismic happens at both clubs.

The saddest part is that for all those years we were in the wilderness, not one team stepped up to challenge Celtic ~ kind of shows the state of our league.

Correct gees people think you can just throw money at it that we haven’t got. It’s dream land people need to wake up.

Celtic may not be a good team but they are better than us that is fact. Some people may not like it but it’s true 12 league titles out of 13 days otherwise.

There’s a few posters on here who don’t understand the constraints of FFP and believe a rich investor is the answer. The bigger you are the more you can spend basically and right now Celtic are bigger than us on/ off the park which doesn’t look good for next season. For every 3 duds they buy they seem to find a good one. We just continuously buy duds.

Gees investors can I’m sure invest in the club as long as the cash is used for things such as stadium upgrades and youth football without affecting FFP. Increasing the stadium capacity is obviously on the agenda. I said last year that WATP isn’t fact anymore and that although I except we might not win the league every year I expect improvement. We’ve went backwards. Worrying times indeed although I still have faith.
