See media reporting that Cordoba has signed a preliminary contract with us, is it not a bit early? price to be agreed with Levski. Don't know if it's correct or bog roll, thought you guys would like to hear.

Standard practice these days, see it all the time. Wont have signed anything but will have had numbers or atleast some sort of verbals sent to his agent.

Can be done if the selling team have gave both parties permission to get it sorted… plenty of deals are done like that then officially announced when the window opens. remember when Celtic brought 3 players in on the 1st day of the winter window. Everything would have been sorted in advance to get them in asap… looks like PC is doing the same. as he knows it’s a big job he has to do….

You can agree contracts with players at any point in the season, but you can only register them as players when the window opens.
