Spurs beat Rangers 3-2 in a game played across three thirty minute periods - to allow teams to make changes and not totally disrupt the flow of the game.

Halliday played all three thirds in a couple of different positions and played well. Jordan Thompson, ex-man United, played 60 minutes. 30 at left back and 30 at centre midfield (I assume in a holding role). Wabara never played and that deal looks dead in the water so I expect Ryan Fredricks to be the obvious target to be our right back. Also think Harry Wink would be a sensational signing, even on a years loan.

Not bad are you having a laugh it was effectively a spurs under 17 squad, is not a good result and I don't Spurs will be sending any players on loan to a team which got beaten by there under 17's.

It looks like a false dawn rather than an exciting new chapter.

Where are the new players we were promised? It seems like the stories in papers about lack of scouting network are to soften us up.

I feel sorry for the fans who have paid for season tickets, you have been done.

Truth is our team is far weaker than last season, Stubbs must be happiest man in Scottish football.

The targets we are going for are not good enough and show no ambition.

Luigi the fans have not been done, they are true Rangers fans that's what they are. Our team is much stronger already by getting rid of the weak. The Spurs game was a training exercise as we experimented with a range of different players, therefor you cannot judge on the score, although it was not a bad score. Slap yourself in the face, realise that Messi is not on his way to our championship club and stop moaning like a little girl and have a little faith. There's more players on the way.

Aye to many negatives guys, warbsn weir are going to b superb, the plan is to get out this division and things are in place to do that, have faith , watch out Scott Allan will be on the way soon plus a decent striker

Pre season friendlies mean nothing, do you not remember the year we beat Chelsea (2-0 I think) and Sebo scored! That was not a true reflection of anything that was to come.

cutch90 Jordan thompson was at Murray park today playing as a triaist against Dumbarton, so who really played against Spurs?

Correct me if I'm wrong Wee Bill but is Jordan Thompson not a Left Back or Central midfielder? The triallist for the U20s played as No.9 and looked to be playing as a striker. Watch the highlights on YouTube of the U20 match and you'll see it's not him

Also Wee Bill - Jordan Thompson flew back to his home town Belfast for the 12th of July celebrations after the game at Spurs. Hard to believe he'd be in Glasgow today for the game
