Has anyone heard anything else regarding Dominic Solanke or is it a no goer.

Davis my opinion this is a non starter, to be honest I don't want anymore loans from Liverpool.

{Ed0333's Note - why?

Kent and ejara look top talent, why would you not want more top talent from liverpool?

Jboy why would you not want more loans from Liverpool if it's going to improve your team? It's worked well for other clubs in the past.

Coldo goss oduwa hyndman ect all loooked top talents at first how did they perform over a season? For me we have more than enough loan signings in place already would be embarrassing to have anymore.

My I did not make myself clear. I jusrt prefer signings for two three or four years brings better stability going forward. I hate idea of someone coming in being a short term star and moving on.
Davis last loaned who truly produced in my opinion. Unless anyone can remind me of anyone else
At end of day I trust the manager and will fully support whatever he does.

i can't see the solanke deal happening purely because woodburn and wilson were both shipped out to championship teams this tells me the so called agreement we have with liverpool is for their 2nd tier of prospects and not the first team fringe players.

Personally i think Goss, Hyndman and Oduwa were not too bad for us, Oduwa probably performing the worst from the three but Hyndman was a good addition, Goss was not too bad.

Totally agree Jboy.

Giving Kent game time over one of our own players like young Middleton doesn't sit well with me.

I wasn't too impressed with Kent in his debut and I've been nothing but impressed with Middleton since he's came into the team so I'd be disappointed to see the young man held back in favour of fulfilling our obligation to Liverpool in helping develop Kent by playing him regularly this season.

Solankie on the other hand is a different beast. He'd instantly come into the league as probably the top striker, with Dembele as the only argument therefore if we could get him I would. Similar to the loan signings of Keane and Bellamy that Celtic pulled off a good few years ago. Couldn't afford the fee or wages to secure the player long term but the opportunity to get such a class of player on loan was too good to pass up.

I'd be more worried if these loan signings meant nothing coming through from our youth setup, Gerrard though obviously likes mccrorie, Middleton, Rudden and a fair few others getting their chance to go gain experience at other clubs. Declan John was initially a loan signing and worked out well, consistent and understated - think he will be a good addition to back 4 when fit with Flanagan on the right.

I would prefer a perm signing over solanke though, there is quality out there for affordable price - someone of the Jelavic mould.

Ed I don’t wish us to be over run with long verpool loanees. However I support the manager
Also feel Solanke not prolific enough.
I’d like Lafferty plus buy CH and mayb RB or LB if Flanagan moves over.

{Ed0333's Note - OMG if you lot don’t want Solanke and you play in a league that’s let’s just say not competitive what hope does he have in the Premiership? I’m with you Jboy I’m not sure there’s a lot of goals in him to be honest but he wouldn’t be a bad shout for you lot I’m sure he’d get a few goals and valuable experience for us. Win win for everyone.
