In this stint as caretaker I would definitely say Murty has shown his tactical flexibility to instantly know what he was going to do when Kenny got injured and then to bring Bates on and drop to 5 at the back was a good move. a move Warburton definitely wouldn't have done when he was manager.

Then the interview he gave after the match was refreshing, it was honest and showed how much he cares about the way things go. I think there's a chance some clubs could maybe come sniffing for him at some point.

for Me the only real candidate left for the job is frank de Boer I know his last couple jobs haven't went great but surely he would command enough respect from the players and the board that they would give him what he asks for and he could unlock a eee gem from Holland just like JJ did in Finland and and then Allen has to help bring better quality in as well and we would be on a good level too challenge.

Antho we aren't to far behind just now if only we turned 2 defeats into wins we would be too lol.

1.) 11 Dec 2017 18:33:25
is de boer even a good manager? he did what was expected at ajax and then his next 2 jobs bombed badly

2.) 11 Dec 2017 20:33:01
Lum. your joking right!? Done what was expected at Ajax!? The guy won 4 league titles in a row, making him the first manager ever to do that in the Dutch league and since he’s went Ajax haven’t won the title since. To say he bombed badly in his next 2 jobs also is extremely harsh. He wasn’t giving any time what so ever at these clubs. To sack a manager after 4 league games in charge which is what Palace done is unreal. I personally think De Boer would be a fantastic manager for our club, Big name in the footballing world and can clearly win trophy’s given what he done in a tough Dutch League. Having a Rangers connection is obviously an added bonus as he knows the size and history of the club. do I think he’d even take it though? Questionable.!

3.) 11 Dec 2017 22:30:34
I would definitely say Frank De Boer and Michel Preud'homme are very strong candidates at this stage.
The question remains. Do the board have the ability for such high profile appointments? I think not, though I would love to be proved wrong! These are non starters until the summer anyway. Something tells me Murty will be manager in August'18.

4.) 12 Dec 2017 08:05:28
I think because of how his last two jobs that it might give us a realistic chance of getting him, but who knows?

04 Dec 2017 18:26:03
Is anyone else thinking what if?

What if our team didn't collapse in the Dundee and Hamilton games, we could have been sitting in a much better position and Murty would have been in with a great shout for the managers job. would have been very hard to look past him if the team didn't let him down in these two games as we would have only been 1 point behind the manky mob.

I can definitely see Murty being Rangers manager on a full time basis one day.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 04 Dec 2017 19:01:38
Agreed 👍!

One question though would bears prefer he stay at rangers and developed then one day comes in again as manager or does anyone think it would test him more to leave rangers on good terms in the near future and try his hand at say a Kilmarnock or Dundee and see if that can develop his coaching skills further?

2.) 04 Dec 2017 19:19:51
I would like him to stay coach of the development squad for a good wee while then leave on good terms go manage a few teams and maybe one day come back

3.) 04 Dec 2017 20:22:36
He will be the manager next season again when next manager gets the sack 😂

4.) 04 Dec 2017 20:25:41
He has to stay, if we could get ray wilkins in as a coach as well that would be a bonus. Great coach at chelsea.

5.) 04 Dec 2017 21:35:30
Yip wether it youth level etc gers need get murty long term deal

6.) 04 Dec 2017 22:08:59
I hear what your saying mate and I think Murty has done a great job. However in football ‘What Ifs’ can make or break u!
I’d actually like him in as part of new first team set up and hoping he isn’t tempted by offer from another club to go. He deserved the adulation after last 2 games.

7.) 05 Dec 2017 08:12:10
natural progression - if the youth progress in significant 3-5 players into the full team squad in the next 18 months murty would make sense to bring them and him through

8.) 05 Dec 2017 09:25:39
@frustratedbesr what if you had not got liquidated and had to start as a new club 😀

9.) 05 Dec 2017 19:11:13
Davydiv - we'll never know

22 Nov 2017 13:12:58
Rangers injury update Murty days Bruno has a back injury that ruled him out of the weekends game and it's a case of day by day to see how he is.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 22 Nov 2017 15:32:08
Not what the Sun or BBC say, mind you who knows what to believe any more

2.) 22 Nov 2017 17:28:40
The same paper that stated he had redused to be a sub now reports that be is injured and in a race to be fit. Shocking journalism.

3.) 22 Nov 2017 18:33:06
Was there an apology anywhere?
Or were we supposed to assume Mr murty was talking bollocks.
The same Mr murty the press all like and get on with.
Welcome to the hot seat graham

4.) 22 Nov 2017 21:29:18
Souness it certainly wouldn't be the sun or the BBC. Are you another Tim trying to create unrest

5.) 23 Nov 2017 11:04:52
we will be back on top soon enough!

6.) 23 Nov 2017 11:37:25
Gary75 - no, it was on the BBC Scottish rumours page for 2 days - linking to the Sun. Classic BBC impartiality.

7.) 23 Nov 2017 16:58:29
I was disputing that they were saying that but souness was asking who to believe and I said it wouldn't be the sun or the BBC

8.) 23 Nov 2017 20:25:18
Aye, you also suggest i was a tim trying to stir up unrest lol

25 Oct 2017 01:48:45
So after tomorrow night if we get 3 points we will either be 3 points behind the team in second or 4 points behind the joint leaders of the league.

What is really so bad about that?

There really is to many people jumping the gun in my opinion.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 25 Oct 2017 05:44:28
Neiderkorn, defeat to celtic, drawing twice with partick thistle ( extra time need in the second game) defeat to hibs, and now motherwell.
Jumping the gun! I think not. Pedro has done nothing but make an embarrasement out of our club.

2.) 25 Oct 2017 08:02:51
I agree Teddybear. If Pena is in the starting lineup again tonight then Pedro will be confirming for me that he hasn't got a clue.

3.) 25 Oct 2017 10:49:52
man so everyone thinks there is a making in a player wih pena. needs game time so he needs at least half a game. i would only bring him on if we are already winning. we would have drawn last league game if it wasnt for him

4.) 25 Oct 2017 11:44:48
Gotta b 442 tonight. give morelos a hand up top. he's working hard enuf but getting little service. due to Pena not being the right man in right position. Give young hardie a shot upfront with the bufalo. no excuses tonight bears. firb

5.) 25 Oct 2017 12:46:22
"I Want to believe in Pedro", says Larky.
I do believe in Pedro. Unfortunately, he does exist and is not just a figment of my imagination

Ally mccoist to get another go at the club you heard it hear first guys

my source is my own head thinking of one of the worst cases after I just read he hasn't ruled himself out of a return.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 27 Oct 2017 05:41:07
With the amount of gardening leave he's had bet he would make a cracking groundsman 😂😂

2.) 27 Oct 2017 09:49:19
You think the club has just spent a fortune sacking a total dud in order to bring in a proven total dud who couldn't get us out of the second tier of Scottish football or win the Petrofac Cup?

26 Oct 2017 12:08:39
Surely if we are sacking the manager we should be sacking the players as they haven't shown up all season apart from the St johnston game.

Players win manager lose comes to mind I hope Pedro stays guys been given 3 month with his own squad the first 3 can't count as he inherited the dross.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 26 Oct 2017 12:22:00
problem is there is 0 motivation amoungst the squad in general. fitness levels are shockingly poor. they can't press and what really worried me last night 1-0 up with more than 10 mins to go is putting a defensive midfielder on for a cf and praying we don't concede. fair enough away from home but at ibrox we should be pressing.

2.) 26 Oct 2017 12:39:11
In my eyes playing for Rangers is the motivation and it's there job.

Would you get away with not trying at work cause you don't like your boss? Ad say 75% of people don't like there boss but still have to do there job the best they can because it's the professional thing to do.

A lot of things are out of Pedros control i. e. Penalty miss jack getting himself sent off and be caught on the break he can't physically go in the pitch and take the penalty or defend his players let him down

20 seconds may have cost him his job and the club 2 million pound

3.) 26 Oct 2017 13:05:33
it isn't just those 20 seconds though mate, poor results just keep stacking up and there always seems to be an explanation of how unlucky we are. sunday was a disgrace too and in the past we have reacted after a bad one. things just look to be going bad to worse

4.) 26 Oct 2017 14:01:00
Frustrated bear 20 seconds did not cost pedro his job did his tear not get put out of Europe by 4th best team on Luxembourg . did the sheep not beat us at ibrox . have we not been run over easily by the tims. has wee ginger nuts not beaten us. has Louis moult not beaten us in semi who he could have bought for a pittance compared to all the foreign duds he did sign so no 20 seconds did not cost pedro his job

5.) 26 Oct 2017 15:37:54
I always want any gers manager to succeed, but in seven months his methods weren't working, I think mainly because of his not understanding Scottish football, I want to see eleven gers players getting stuck into the opposition, not sitting back watching them, and if they were playing that way under orders from him, then he just doesn't get it. let's hope the team can move forward now.

6.) 26 Oct 2017 18:13:26
Why are people still defending this clown, I told you's ages ago he wasn't up to it, pena herrera a waste of cash. Who we should have bought etc now the majority are on board with me yet there are a few who still back this clown. Unbelievable.

24 Oct 2017 06:21:55
I for one like Pedro he's not shy to say what he thinks he doesn't keep saying the same stuff over and over again in both cases past managers have done this.

I think he should get till the end of the season chopping and changing constantly isn't going to help us and I really don't see who could come in and do any better.

My goal for this season is finish 2nd which isn't out of sight by any stretch of the imagination.

For me it's the players not showing bottle in enough matches Dorrans the big Rangers fan at the weekend was as weak as any other player on the park. Time for them all to step up all the time not for 2 outa 3 matches. Show the grit and desire the manager does and we will do a lot better.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 24 Oct 2017 11:32:39
More sensible posts. keep them coming its actually refreshing!

2.) 25 Oct 2017 16:26:46
FB. I agree apart from one part. Dorrans, or anyone else for that matter (including any Motherwell player) was not worse than Pena. He might be an enigma but he was simply abysmal on Sunday. I think I counted 7 touches including one header. The header went past the post, five touches were miscontrolled and one other was a lame pass. I really don't know what he is. There were rumours on these pages earlier in the season about his inability to do the basics in training - and the evidence has been clear to see. He was exactly the same v St Johnstone but miraculously scored to excellent goals too. His contribution on Sunday, however, was inexplicably poor.

3.) 25 Oct 2017 16:50:33
Players not showing bottle? Motherwell out done us tactically. it was very simple tactics to counter and Pedro couldn't, people need to stop defending him and open their eyes.

14 Oct 2017 17:29:39
So does any think when Wallace is fit he should go back to left back and John pushed forward too to left back?

Frustratedbear1

1.) 14 Oct 2017 17:52:44
Yes think that will definitely haft to happen.

2.) 14 Oct 2017 17:57:55
Yep, I've been saying this for a few weeks. Can't wait for Wallace to come back.

Hopefully Windass benched before then.

Id play anyone else in the team on the left other than Windass. - but John looks like he could more than do the job when wallace is fit:-)

3.) 14 Oct 2017 18:42:07
100% Frustratedbear, I think that in the last few games Pedro's strongest 11 is becoming clearer and when fit the team would read:

Foderingham

Tavernier
Alves
Cardoso
Wallace

Jack
Dorrans

Candeias
Pena
John

Morelos

My top team would have McCrorie in for Cardoso and I wouldn't have a problem with Holt or Rossiter in for Ryan Jack to be honest. Good player but him and Dorrans just aren't working together.

4.) 14 Oct 2017 19:31:05
If so would you go for walker or stick with john

5.) 14 Oct 2017 21:02:10
I'd try to get both of them signed on pre-contracts in January and let them fight it out for the jersey! Moult I would say is a must on a free, there will be competition for these signings and if we could get a couple of 'quality' players in with whatever cash is available next summer i'd be happy with that business. Ideally we need to be bringing in at least 1, hopefully 2 or 3 players of Morelos potential every season.

6.) 15 Oct 2017 08:41:37
Well they both can't play at left back.

7.) 15 Oct 2017 08:48:22
Just when we thought the bang average Moult and Walker were fading from the memory.

8.) 15 Oct 2017 08:56:39
Moult, Mclean and Walker would be a good start and it wouldn't cost us a penny.

29 Sep 2017 18:46:47
This goes on about longer than I expected it too. It please read it all

So Pedro isn't winning the league in his first season but who really thought he would?

Not me!

Even the top managers with the biggest budgets don't always win the league in the first go yes Conte did it last year but Jose and Pep failed to set the world alight last season but look now after one year they have managed too put there stamp on there teams good and proper they are both unbeaten so far this season.

I know as Rangers fans we feel It is our god given right too be at the top but the truth is it takes time and chopping and changing managers isn't the Rangers way.

We are a better side than last season.

We are playing benfica next month in Canada which I fee is down to Pedro and will only enhance our global profile which I feel has taken a dent the last few years.

We are going to Florida in January to play South American teams. Again this will help our global profile I think this one is down to Allister Johnston but also helped by the South Americans in our team.

I see progress on and off the field so I would say that not everything is doom and gloom guys and gals.

PS I did go on a little bit.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 29 Sep 2017 19:44:06
Your comparing winning spl to epl your having a laugh, there is at least 6 top teams in epl. Only need to get past the mhanky mob up here i'm sure jose, conte or whoever else you mentioned could get a team together for 10 million and have them gelled and winning by now. Giez piece mate.

2.) 29 Sep 2017 21:47:20
Only have to get past them as if that's easy they have far superior finances than us and a team that's been built over 5 years our starting team had 4 players that have Been at the club longer than 5 month

As for the EPL comparison obviously it's a different scale from the Spfl

3.) 30 Sep 2017 01:21:29
If it was that obvious why make a silly comparison? Just whatever pops into your noggin.

4.) 30 Sep 2017 08:00:54
Aye pretty much same as some or the rubbish yourself and others post lol

I noticed you didn't disagree about the positives and that we feel it's our right too be too you found one thing that was abut over the top and went for it but you couldn't build on the positive stuff yeah again this just came into my noggin

Isn’t Tyler Roberts a maybe for a pre contract? I thought I read that was the case with a rough 300k compo

I would agree it would be good business if all they players come in maybe to many loans

100% agree he needs proper minutes on the pitch he’s came off the bench 15 times and that’s for 10 mins at a time at the most guy needs too be given 5 or 6 games with at least 60/70 mins on the pitch then he can be judged. You can see he’s a player that gives his all and wants too make the most of his chance at the club the same can’t be said for some of the other singing from the summer.

Sorry for another post but this is what I found on the interweb this is direct copy and paste.

In simplest terms, when a company creates new shares and sells them, it's true that existing shareholders now own a smaller percentage of the company. However, as the company is now more valuable (since it made money by selling the new shares), the real dollar value of the previous shares is unchanged.

That said, the decision to issue new shares can be interpreted by investors as a signal of the company's strategy and thereby alter the market price; this may well affect the real dollar value of the previous shares. But the simple act of creating new shares does not alter the value in and of itself.

Gordo it doesn’t makes shares worth less money it just means that the percentage of the company you own is less

For instance if you have 1% of the shares and there is 10,000 shares and in the next share issue they release another 10,000 shares you then own 0.5% of the shares in the company but your share value isn’t effected by this.

100m% agree I worried last week at the hearts game when miller pushed candeias away after his second goal as I also noticed he changed direction away from Herrera who wanted too celebrate with miller but I watched closely at the end of the hearts game and seen them hug but today's celebration helped ease my worries about they two

but time will tell with miller and Herrera if miller is being off with other players then I would call for him too be dropped as now more than ever we need a togetherness and a new manager who comes in might not let this happen and will drop miller himself

Finger crossed I'm worried about nothing

Supercoop he's young in terms of manager so he's still learning his trade this should make him adapt well to a different structure also the fact he probably wants the job will make him work around it.

Why would he not want to his life gets made easier he gets to concentrate on running the first team and not running the full club. Obviously he will want assurances when it comes to player recruitment that he has his input but I would think anyone coming in will get that or it won't work out well

I would also think any new manager is going to be interviewed by Allen too see if the potential new manager has the right ideas to go with the structure set up by Allen as everyone has to be pulling in the same direction.

This makes me think there's a good chance it will be McInnes or an Englishman
