Sadiq confirmed by Rangers

Odd to me why they didn't do both at the same time.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 10 Jul 2018 20:30:28
I'd guess each deal has different parts that all need to be finalised legally and will get announced as soon as they were done, neither are in squad for thursday, both seem good quality, young and eager

2.) 10 Jul 2018 22:13:21
Umar Sadiq comes across as a young player looking to develop work hard and deliver success at Ibrox

3.) 11 Jul 2018 09:32:51
Who cares? What’s diff does it make?

4.) 11 Jul 2018 10:13:48
I understand from the mediathey both could be added to the Europa League squad as late"wild card "additions but may well not be as they haven't even trained with the rest of the team yet.

Just seen we are being linked with Joel Campbell

Don't see it happening myself.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 17 Jun 2018 09:37:36
the article I read didn't say we are linked. it was just someone saying we should go for him.

2.) 17 Jun 2018 13:57:45
Joel Campbell is dreadful better off with Naomi Campbell

3.) 17 Jun 2018 15:04:52
I was watching the costa Rica game there and he has a bit of ability. He was never arsenal quality but he was better than most people gave him credit for. Technically he was ahead of Walcott and welbeck but he never got a chance so I'm guessing his attitude isn't up to scratch. He's struggled on loan but there is a decent player in there

4.) 17 Jun 2018 15:07:37
Naomi can come and stay with me if we sign her. Wife will be sound with it.

5.) 17 Jun 2018 18:18:34
Never believe anything you read on HITC

14 Jun 2018 15:11:44
The Hummel training centre announced.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 14 Jun 2018 15:32:50
That’ll do for me, no problem with that, gerrard looked the part in the new trackie 👌.
Any idea if that additional income or is that included in the shirt deal?

2.) 14 Jun 2018 15:49:25
It’s included as part of the deal which is a tad disappointing

3.) 14 Jun 2018 16:01:10
the statement reads as if its not part of the original deal.

The exciting and ground-breaking new partnership with the chevron brand has now extended to the naming rights of the 38-acre training centre, which was opened in 2001 at a cost of £14 million

Extended

could be wrong though

4.) 14 Jun 2018 17:07:26
Either way if it is included we still got more money from Hummel than anyone else was offering this would explain why.

In this stint as caretaker I would definitely say Murty has shown his tactical flexibility to instantly know what he was going to do when Kenny got injured and then to bring Bates on and drop to 5 at the back was a good move. a move Warburton definitely wouldn't have done when he was manager.

Then the interview he gave after the match was refreshing, it was honest and showed how much he cares about the way things go. I think there's a chance some clubs could maybe come sniffing for him at some point.

11 Dec 2017 18:01:16
for Me the only real candidate left for the job is frank de Boer I know his last couple jobs haven't went great but surely he would command enough respect from the players and the board that they would give him what he asks for and he could unlock a eee gem from Holland just like JJ did in Finland and and then Allen has to help bring better quality in as well and we would be on a good level too challenge.

Antho we aren't to far behind just now if only we turned 2 defeats into wins we would be too lol.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 11 Dec 2017 18:33:25
is de boer even a good manager? he did what was expected at ajax and then his next 2 jobs bombed badly

2.) 11 Dec 2017 20:33:01
Lum. your joking right!? Done what was expected at Ajax!? The guy won 4 league titles in a row, making him the first manager ever to do that in the Dutch league and since he’s went Ajax haven’t won the title since. To say he bombed badly in his next 2 jobs also is extremely harsh. He wasn’t giving any time what so ever at these clubs. To sack a manager after 4 league games in charge which is what Palace done is unreal. I personally think De Boer would be a fantastic manager for our club, Big name in the footballing world and can clearly win trophy’s given what he done in a tough Dutch League. Having a Rangers connection is obviously an added bonus as he knows the size and history of the club. do I think he’d even take it though? Questionable.!

3.) 11 Dec 2017 22:30:34
I would definitely say Frank De Boer and Michel Preud'homme are very strong candidates at this stage.
The question remains. Do the board have the ability for such high profile appointments? I think not, though I would love to be proved wrong! These are non starters until the summer anyway. Something tells me Murty will be manager in August'18.

4.) 12 Dec 2017 08:05:28
I think because of how his last two jobs that it might give us a realistic chance of getting him, but who knows?

Continually see reports linking us with Joe Hart really don't see how this can be a story as we have signed shagger and Hart is majorly over rated and over paid.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 13 Jul 2018 22:02:50
It's definitely nonsense. Even if we were looking for a keeper, which we obviously aren't, we wouldn't be looking at him

2.) 13 Jul 2018 22:40:34
we have other areas of the team which need addressed far more urgently than GK

said it wks ago we need better forwards - much better

really glad defence seems to be more solid and we have options in midfield but if we want to challenge, morelos and windass aren’t good enough

sorry bears that’s how i see it we need a top class poacher not a hard working grafter who holds it up well but misses sitters every wk - really hope it doesn’t cost us

Tonight's game on BT sport and a sell out.

On my way t stadium now guts are churning I'm a nervous wreck. Couple of pints wouldn't even take the edge off

21 Jun 2018 19:45:23
I can't seem to remember Flanagan play for Liverpool but I'm going to guess he's maybe better than tav defensively so saying that does anyone else think maybe SG is thinking he can relate tav and flan depending on who we are playing?

With tav maybe being the better attacking option and Flanagan being the better defensive option.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 21 Jun 2018 20:24:10
flanagan has over 50 games for liverpool was out for long spells with injury or else he would of played a lot more a tough tackler and good in the air i'm sure he also has an england cap

2.) 21 Jun 2018 20:33:39
Not a dig FB but are you a bit happier with the board this weather?

3.) 21 Jun 2018 20:42:41
The lad ticks every box in assets you would want in a full back. Won’t be many who face him will get change out of him. He loves a tackle.

4.) 21 Jun 2018 21:50:29
I like a settled defensive line, be it a back 3 or back 4. Its a no to rotating the back line for me.

5.) 22 Jun 2018 01:05:21
Don't let's get carried away here. This lad was close to being an England first pick but has played about a dozen games in the past two years due to injury problems. He also comes with the baggage we all know about and which will surely still be affecting his mindset. I think for the first half of the season he'll be used as cover for Tavernier and John until he settles and then we'll see a lot more of him if he can stay injury free. Good luck to the boy, but don't expect too much too soon.

15 Jun 2018 15:16:25
Hardie signed new deal boy definitely deserves a chance.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 15 Jun 2018 16:32:43
Not sure he's going to cut it but no harm in holding onto him for another season but tbh if we don't give him first team chances then we won't know and at the end of next season we will still be talking about him! He's about all the player he will ever be

2.) 15 Jun 2018 16:33:11
Hopefully he can score a few goals for us.
Continually out on loan.
Needs to part of the 1st Team Squad.

3.) 15 Jun 2018 16:46:11
if i’ve read this correctly we’ve extended Hardies contract by 1yr only to send him out on loan - why?

lads been out on loan 3/ 4 times already - either give him a chance in 1st team squad or move on

4.) 15 Jun 2018 17:03:56
Hardie definitely deserves a chance. What is with all those anti-Hardie posters out there? He's never had a chance in the first team. Better than Cummings and others I bet!

5.) 15 Jun 2018 17:07:46
Hardie will only be on 750-1000 per week because he is not a first team player

so even if we loan him out and next year and don't get him on a new contract i think we still get the 250k compensation because he came came through our youth ranks so we won't lose money if it does not work out

6.) 15 Jun 2018 17:28:32
Hardie has signed a year extension and will be given opportunities to play. SG believes there is a player in him and I hope the young lad grabs it with both hands as he’s taking a gamble aswel, Livi wanted to offer him a much longer contract. Fans need to get right behind this lad as all he wants to do is play for this club.

7.) 16 Jun 2018 01:54:35
The lad is still learning, some players take longer to progress .
He has a season extension then loan to give the lad more time.
Hopefully he will be more physical this season and rattles in the goals then we will see.

8.) 16 Jun 2018 02:20:42
Trev I share your confusion. If reports are to be believed and he is to go out on loan again but to a premiership club (livi and dundee are the names mentioned) then why not offer him a 2 year deal and if he does well bring him into the first team and if we don't fancy him then get money for the lad. Personally I'd like to see him get a chance at some point though.

9.) 16 Jun 2018 05:50:45
I'd rather he is given the chance to rattle in the goals for us next season!

10.) 16 Jun 2018 09:27:01
Hardie was on 2k last two seasons. Signed for 2.2k I’m hearing

Just watched Murty's interview from after the sheep match I just can't help but want too love the guy I think of I ever see him I will hug him and tell him I love him he is just class how he conducts himself.

3.) 25 Jan 2018 22:58:02
Its called Media Training, FrustratedBear1 just like actors and most people who are going to be on TV quite a bit all receive this, even your politicans everybody gets Media and press training.

4.) 26 Jan 2018 09:30:16
How much media training does an u20 manager get as wee bear said it’s been right from the start and our last two managers didn’t exactly get on well with the media and didn’t present them self’s very well unlike Murty.

Jyf you offering I have been told you should always try things 4-5 times in life to know if you like it or not.

Lafferty would be a steal in my eyes granted no sell in value but he won’t cost much to buy or pay he can’t be on a great wage at hearts so we match or beat it by a couple of grand he would be happy as a bear in blue.

Let’s be honest do we really need to unveil someone too sell thousands of shirts prior to the SD deal I’m sure we outsold the other half just about evey year and now we finally have a deal In place that works for the club the strips will fly off the shelf i for one will be buying all 3 for me and my 6 year old son. Much to the annoyance of his timmy mother and her family.

Shame I can’t back the team by going to games as much as I did due to work commitments really miss it and got a good feeling we are in the right journey.
