No major transfers will be made until we know if we make it into the Europa League group stages, then all future income from that tournament will be spent "net" on certain players. So everyone on here shouting for Lucas, Skrtel and Solanke are a long way off. We will be signing players right up until the end of August if we get into the group stages.

I'd expect there to be two budgets available, one if we make it to group stages and one if we don't otherwise there will just be one higher budget gambling on qualification and having to suck up the loss if we end up not qualifying.

It takes time to approach and bring in players, leaving it to the last minute drives up prices and makes it more difficult for us.
