Watched The Moody Blue last night. What a player Davie Cooper was. I can only vaguely remember him in a Rangers shirt but wish I'd seen more of him.

My dad is a Clyde fan and when Clyde moved to Broadwood I remember Cooper playing for Clydebank there in one of the first games played in the stadium. My dad told me to keep my eye on him andbhe didn't disappoint. He was a class act and must have been about 37/ 38 at the time.

Those of us who are unfortunate to be old enough to remember the legend that is Davie cooper have great memories of what a fantastic player he was . Some of the things he could do with the ball, the dribbling, going past great defenders as if the weren't there totally mesmerising . I happened to be in the wrong end with the sheep fans hiding my scarf when he scored that brilliant free kick in the league cup final . what a player who will never be forgotten.

I was there too right at the corner flag beside the sheep end, and the crack when the ball hit the net had to be heard to be believed, Leighton certainly would only have had one hand left if he'd touched it, great player.
