Don't like goldson, but he deserves 40k a week as does Morelos to keep him here. They are both an integral part of our team.

We can't afford to pay players 40k per week, we should have learned that hard lesson by now. Soon as we break that wage cap, every one will be demanding a wage rise.

Exactly herewego55. Does Morelos or Goldson deserve more money than a fully fit Jack? The reality is we have a wage cap and it's essential we stick to it. We have a much improved scouting network and the bosman market is strong, coupled with a really promising youth set-up, I don't see any reason to bow to players demands? Let Goldson leave, replace him with someone on less money and give King minutes.

If we are to grow and build better and better teams then eventually the board must realise that the wages bill will rise in accordance with. We do not want to over pay anyone but sometimes a player deserves that little bit extra.
I know we can't and probably never will be able to match the super rich clubs ( unless we move South) but we must retain certain players if we are not only to win the league but compete in Europe not just this season but for the coming seasons.

I get that John. my point is, when he is fit, he brings something unique to the team. I think there's a fair few I would say deserve more than Goldson. Breaking the cap for one sets a really dangerous precedent.
