Parlane. I remember it well too. Great wee player as well, he could land the ball on a sixpence. He was a bit timid but then you couldn't blame any of the wingers at that time as most of the full backs were like brick s***houses and could kick player and ball over the stand. I remember the crowd hurling abuse when the wingers would jump in anticipation of a crunching tackle flying in. Happened at every club right enough. Everybody had players that the crowd didn't like whatever they did and others that could do no wrong.

Seeker, hope he's talking bout Tam McLean. Great Killie boy. Lovely holder of ball. Would take on anybody, did get kicked to f""" but only 5ft and not most well built. Played for Gers during first team I saw. youth and integral player in 2 trebles which I was lucky to see. He bled blue and he crossed ball on sixpence. Big DJ can thank him for so many goals. Great Ranger. Him on right, Cooper on left formidable combination.

As my old da said of Tommy McLean, he is no good on a stretcher. Yes he jumped out of tackles, he was there to stay fit and supply the ammo. Seen many full backs and centre backs rubbish it from wee Tommy's back up big tam (jaws) Forsyth.
