Del2807 Never known anyone to negotiate the price of a mars bar mate ? LAFC need to sell him this window or risk losing him for nothing. They may just leave it until later in the window but they’d be stupid not to accept something.

The poster was quite obviously using the Mars bar thing as a similie and not meaning it in literal terms!

How do we know they "need" to sell him? It might be better for them to keep him rather than sell him on the cheap?! We just don't know?!
Look, there's no way we should just cave and pay what they want. If we do that we set a dangerous predecent for the next, similar situation.

If he has signed a pre contract with us how is it in their best interest to run down his contract? Paying wages and having someone there who doesn’t want to be there. If Kent or Morelos had signed a pre contract with someone 6 months ago and they offered us a fee there and then would you not have took it? We shouldn’t cave, no, but I believe an agreement will be reached and they’ll sell this window.

If it was one of our important players in last 6 months we wouldn't want to give him away on the cheap either. Maybe the feel keeping him till end of season is more important. Hopefully we'll be able to meet in the middle.
