Tbf to Tav windy I don’t think it’s particularly hard to be more of a threat than our attackers. I don’t mind the idea of a 3 at the back but going off yilmaz performance at the weekend I don’t think it’ll suit him. Don’t think he’s good enough going forward but maybe that’ll come with time. He defended brilliantly which is a great foundation to build on. Just needs to keep himself fit and get a run of games. Think folk forget Yilmaz is only 21 as well he’s still a young lad.

Yilmaz is better than Barasic at getting forward. At least Yilmaz can run and beat a man. Borna can cross but that is it. Borna can't run, can't defend, has the fear playing Celtic. Yilmaz has a decent cross and will get better. Yilmaz twice the player.

Rangers use ATTACKING wingbacks. Tavernier has been one of the highest rated players in the SPFL for the last 5 years when you look at any of the data websites. This season he’s been our top scorer and bagged a double at Parkhead just a few weeks ago. He’s the captain. He will be our first choice RB next season.
This lad Stirling looks a good defender but he has zero goals or assists to his name. Many are claiming they don’t mind that as long as he can defend. You WILL care about his lack of attacking output during all those games where Rangers dominate possession, are struggling to break teams down, and he can offer absolutely nothing. Every time he tries to cross it and it hits the crowd behind the goal you I’ll be longing for Tavernier to be back on that pitch.

I couldn’t care less about Celtic. What I do know is Beale likes to play with ATTACKING wingbacks and Tavernier is ridiculously good at doing that. His numbers for an attacking full-back are some of the best in Europe, and have been for many years.
Someone above said Tavernier’s crosses go out for a throw in. Nothing could be further from the truth. Tavernier must’ve created 100 goals from his crossing since the day he signed with Rangers. He’s one of the best crossers of a ball I’ve ever seen in a Rangers shirt.
Celtic wish they had a wingback as good as James Tavernier. Watching him score a double at their ground a few weeks back was a real please ???.

Don’t know enough about them to be honest,
I trust we have done homework on them, maybe a few on here have watched them enough on tv and have a better take on them.
The only one I have watched a few times was Lammers when he was at Frankfurt, thought he was a good player with good feet.
I had one or two I would have liked us to go for but probably outwith our budget.
It’s such a key position that I hoped we might have found the money of around 6 to 8 to bring a right good one in.
Maybe we might get the best out of one of the guys we are linked with, Hope so.

Reading reports Bayern are to pay £1m compensation for cancelling transfer clause plus 10% of sell on fee for Tillman. Actually works out really well for someone who might not have even wanted to stay. Have to say we'll done to whoever worked this one out. Let's hope they sell him for a fortune now. Apparently they could always have bought him back for £9m so we were never going to make a huge profit anyway. Would have like him but sure MB has other ideas now.

Don't get the cantwell comparison at all. He isn't a striker and was excellent for his club to begin with and was being put forward for big moves and England. Then his form dipped for whatever reason. He's been about regaining form. Lammers has never really shown anything. Most I've read say should play as a target man down to his saize but his hold up play and passing are really poor. If he comes I'll get behind him like anyone but until then when someone linked were bound to wonder what they like and if they'll make us better. I've not seen or read anything that gives any confidence in this other than trust the manager.

This is ridiculous. Last season was lost largely because we had no fit CBs for ages and now we're into preseason with Souttar as our only fit CB. Sure we'll bring in someone before season starts but this should have been one of our main priorities before going on tour as Goldson might not be ready for start.
