Travelling to the game last night felt a strange one, not like a normal feeling, arriving and chatting to the guys around me, I felt assured that it wasn’t just me feeling that way.

We didn’t know what to think or have any idea how the game might go. It started nervy, few slack passes, getting dragged about, but they dug in and after 35 mins or so grew more and more into the game.

The second half display was fantastic, thought Lunny was instrumental in dragging us forward, Roofe a constant pest to their back line, Tav finding space, Davies strong at the back and Butland reliable as he has always been.

What turn out to be a nervy and cagey travel to the game, ended with the journey home being fantastic.

If we can get that second half mentality installed from the off, we can build on this performance and get confidence high, both on and off the field. Let’s keep momentum up for Sunday and grasp the baton.

Betis crumbled under the intensity of the Ibrox atmosphere - a wee line from one of the newspapers - love it - we are getting there with this team hopefully this is the launchpad ??????.

Stop with the false narrative butland was more than busy saved us on several occasions

It was a 50/ 50 game that could go either way thankfully we had a jack butland bang on it.

I do not think they crumbled at all Ally. They looked composed in possession and had great passages of play. Our defensive blocks and Butland were key to us winning and holding on for the victory.

We were extremely passive in the first 35 mins. Second half we were much much better.

It was a line from a paper - get a grip - just enjoyed reading it - if they can’t take their chances and we have a great goalie that’s just the way it is - still think we deserved it overall ??????.

Betis only threat came from the two wingers, thought Davis and Goldson dealt with their CF superbly. Isco was no more than decent and they ended up resorting to shots from outside the box. Overall, a very good result.
