Anyone here anything about this Chris willock rumour from QPR the boy looks brilliant they got him for a bargain 750k look worth way more than that. Anybody any info on this one.

He would be a superb signing out of contact this season but his club can extend by a year, i really believe Beale was taking about him with the couple of players he'd like lined up for the summer, maybe that's just me hoping tho, probably get for a couple of million in the summer and well within our wage budget.

I would agree with Paul 86 normally but this player looks like a good option as a straight replacement for Kent.
I also take storms point on board but the two player mentioned both elected to play for Nigeria and that opens up more chance of sell on.
It could be a case of us just tracking the player until out of contract I guess can't understand players especially young players that sign deals that give the club an option of another year. Why not just take the extra year or not as club will always use that option if it gets them slightest fee.

Paul, I was doing a bit of work for Rangers on the data modelling software they use for scouting.
There is a lot ofis focus on players from 3-4 nations in Africa.
Outside of that, the Belgian league and the Championship are the two main areas of focus.
Romanian, Czech and Croatian are also being explored.

I think Kent will get his mojo back just in time for his summer move ? hope I'm wrong but think him and Alfie will both leave. I'd actually think opposite to everyone else and out the two Alfie more likely to stay as new baby and he's fat and previous problems so teams will be a bit hesitant. Could see a lower Spanish league or a Portuguese team coming in for him though.

I really don't get it what do people see in this boy looks no better than a bog standard spl midfielder and should be a warning sign that most of his good clips are from youth football sure he might develope into a decent player but can we really afford anymore project players at the moment ?.

Apparently Raskin was considered for the Belgian World Cup squad. He only narrowly missed out according to reports. He's a free agent next summer and Ferguson would cost 8million give or take. We simply can't afford LF now.

I'm not one to actively shoot down people's opinions usually but to read we don't have time for project players right now contradicts a lot of what everyone is saying.

Then there's the snobbery of "all his highlights are youth football". The club he's at are desperate for him to stay, brugge (club that took skov Olsen) are scouting him and a french club linked. Also YouTube is a poor tell of what folk actually look like. I watched Itten on YouTube looked a world beater, as did Matondo.
Now do I think raskin is the answer to our problems. I dunno. But I sure as rubbish won't shoot down bringing in a deep lying playmaker who looks like he can tackle.

Ayrshire . they said same about zungu and I called how rubbish he was at time too you can see things on YouTube if you know what your looking for ok you don't get a full game fair but your still watching highlights from a stand veiw that a scout would be watching at roughly same angle you can see faints passing accuracy pace of pass control left foot right foot positional sense and tons and tons more you just need to look.

How farcical is var in this game
First why it takes so long for first decision when dessers definitely offside and interference with keeper view and how long it takes
Then no var to even look when livi player clearly hand balls block shot rdfs too scared to give us a second pen.
Then the farce of mcausland disallowed goal I understand it but why they look at that and not the handball very soft decision.

I'm not a fan of how VAR is used at certain times if I'm honest, at the risk of sounding biased I though that McAusland's goal should have stood. I am aware that we most probably would not have been awarded the second penalty today without VAR. If used correctly VAR could be good for the game. My main concern is how replay's are shown in slow motion without the consideration of real time. McAusland's goal today, Danilo's goal the other night and Rashford's red card the other night are just some examples that come to mind.

I'll be honest, I was highly critical of those two and Sima. Sima is making me eat my words which is great to see, I'm happy to be proven wrong, but Lammers and Dessers are doing nothing to convince me that my opinion of them is wrong or will change any time soon.
Neither should start but then neither are capable of making much of an impact from the bench, so where does that leave them? Other than taking a wage for not contributing very much.

Still think it's madness you can change squad every knock out round but not group stages where it's more games.
You should be able to change the three plus any player that's not been used or played for another team
(The not been used thing to do with players booked or suspended) or maybe clubs should be allowed to register more players seems a bit crazy to have such a small number and not be able to use players that were already at your club
Then teams like psv can add player from Barcelona a day or two before they play us how is that fair from a coaching point of view for preparation of tactics.
