@Carlukeloyal, we have done that in the past and made it nowhere in Europe. The league is a small trophy compared to the top two in Europe. Aye we want the league to lord it over celtic, but if you buy players from the spfl, they don't have the experience of playing against top Europeans sides day in day out. That being said, shankland Imo would do the business on a European stage, mioski, I don't rate him. I took an instant dislike to him the first time I saw him. I would take the boy from killie too, but the rest I want to see coming from European teams. And have a mixture of experience in the team.

I have said for the last 5 seasons that we need to get rid of Doncaster and his cronies, spfl could be so much more lucrative if we had the rite people in charge, someone with a business mind and not an ex solicitor. He doesn't have the passion for Scottish football and him and his team have made the league worse. Football fans as well (or glory hunters) at 10 of the 12 teams in the league who don't turn up to matches except for finals. Rain hail or snow, every week in the lower tier of Scottish football, our fans turned up. These are the same fans who love it when we lose in a European match, they would rather see Scottish football in the gutter than see us do well and represent our country on the European stage. No wonder players don't want to come to Scotland. The sfa has buggered it up royally and will continue to bugger it up because they don't know what they are doing.

Why are we hammering players for getting injured. It's frustrating yes, but we gave them a physical, surely we need to look at that department, and if it's not them, it's the training. Games are once or twice a week, most times things like hamstring injuries is a series of strains, it's actually very little that a tackle is the sole cause of an injury.

@Hammerite - tav can't win with the fans. Yes he's a defender first and foremost and I do agree there are certainly better out there in that department but why are we not looking at the formation change of the team when tav goes forward or barasic, someone needs to drop back from midfield to let the cb spread wide for cover, can't expect the man to be our best provider and playmaker outside the 6 yard box of opponents and be able to cover his defensive duties. He's an attacking out ball that when he doesn't bomb forward, the midfield look lost like they don't know what to do then pass back.

@dado, beale didn't pick the players to sign, he just played them in the wrong positions. Tactically he had the rite idea with quick, skillful playing but he lacked leadership and drive. The players ruled the dressing room and imo that's why Gerrard failed. The players and captain are just as guilty as the manager of failing their duties.
