Not a Rangers question.
Edd's have Chelsea sacked Liam Rosenior?
{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry, but I would be surprised if he is in charge of another game.}
22 Apr 2026 14:19:03
Thank you for your reply. It was something spoken about at the office.
He really has been a huge mistake.
Nagelsman after World Cup perhaps.
{Ed001's Note - he would be another mistake imo.}
22 Apr 2026 14:20:34
That seems to be sticking with him for now. Is he some sort of combination between Martin and Nancy listening to him?
22 Apr 2026 14:37:33
Oliver Glasner would be a great appointment for Chelsea.
22 Apr 2026 15:22:26
Chelsea just pretend to be a big club, absolute dug meat before Abramovich laundered money through them and they are now back to where they were before.
22 Apr 2026 15:22:43
To sack him now would cost £24m.
Generational wealth secured hahaha.
22 Apr 2026 15:42:33
Takes a fair bit of effort to spend that much money and be so shockingly bad.
22 Apr 2026 17:01:44
I had no idea where Chelsea sat in the table, but upon checking it, then it does not look good when your games played on the table look like this ❌❌❌❌❌❌.
It must be in the hundreds of millions that the new owners have wasted on managerial appointments.
22 Apr 2026 17:16:28
Someone said they'd been outrun in every game this season. Manager has been poor, but players need to take a serious look at themselves.
22 Apr 2026 17:23:25
Sacked on Sky News.
22 Apr 2026 17:32:29
Thanks Fork,.
22 Apr 2026 17:45:57
Kasier, they have been outrun in 34 games in EPL this season.
22 Apr 2026 13:48:03
Can't wait for the start of next season and the first missed penalty and someone will say - "should have kept Tav". 🤣
Anyway, fingers crossed he finishes his Rangers career on a high.
Then it's a case of thanks for the memories.
No sentimentality in football. Why our current 3rd choice CH should not have been given a new contract and wage rise.
22 Apr 2026 14:13:41
Our striker should be a stick on for 20 goals plus, then with a new pen taker, a super ally, and an Albertz for free kicks on our summer wish list.
22 Apr 2026 14:23:35
I was always vocal about Tav leaving, but since he's announced it, I think I miss him already.
I'm kind of joking, but at the same time not joking, it's strange. 🤔 Jackyboy said in a post earlier that Tav's been in Rangers teams that have been trying to sort ourselves out since 2012, that's a fact. I feel in any other era he would have been loaded with winners medals.
If all his team mates had stats like him this era maybe it would be the same. His numbers and appearances are incredible, tbh. Big Dado made another good point, that we could end up with another Rommens on that side when discussing whether to keep Tav or not. That's exciting to think about. Good luck, Jamesy Tavernier, you'll be remembered fondly, go get that title, son. 💙
22 Apr 2026 14:40:22
I'll be careful how I word this, as I know I have some deep rooted personal bias against Tav.
Moving on is the right decision and I hope he leaves with another league medal - lol, and good riddance.
22 Apr 2026 14:45:35
EHL. 🤣🤣
22 Apr 2026 14:58:16
Bang on, Ehl, as for penalties so far he has missed 21, two against them, and s*** it to take one in the League Cup final, which Buffy missed. I don't think I've been so happy since Thistle beat them 4-1 in 1971.
22 Apr 2026 15:31:27
Morelos was instructed to take the penalty against Celtic by Steven Gerrard. That was confirmed by Steven Gerrard. If anyone has any evidence that Tavernier told Morelos 'I'm not taking this penalty today despite taking every other high profile penalty for a decade'.
Why would Steven Gerrard be lying to this day about that issue? Why has nobody ever spoken out and said Tavernier refused to take the kick? I hate to see fans making up lies like this just to stick the boot in.
The way James Tavernier is treated by this fanbase is a disgrace. I hope he is much happier elsewhere, and gets the benefit of a supportive fanbase that don't make up lies about him.
22 Apr 2026 15:35:25
So I take it, EHL, there's a personal issue took place with Tav and yourself, mate. 🤔
22 Apr 2026 15:45:28
EHL, can I ask, does your dislike of Tav come from him being a bit of a "diva". That was something I heard from a non-football member of staff.
I was a bit disappointed to hear this, as he has had some top moments for us like being so close to captaining us to our first European trophy since 1972.
In the road to Seville, he made a huge contribution to that run.
22 Apr 2026 16:02:46
Once a Ranger - I don't like how he treated a number of the players whilst I was at the club, especially young players and some of the new signings who were struggling to settle in at the club.
A player who's delivered some top moments and always given his best on the pitch - but, in my opinion, not someone who should ever have worn our captain's armband.
22 Apr 2026 16:19:32
We will only miss Tav if we can't replace for better. We missed him when he didn't play, but that was because we had no one to fill his place with similar.
22 Apr 2026 16:27:49
Mikey Moore absolutely loves Tav, EHL, and he's not only a young player but a relatively new player and on loan. 🤔 I would never have taken Tav to be like that with young players and new players, because many of the new players and young players over Tav's years have said how terrific a role model he is. 🤔
22 Apr 2026 16:29:52
Interesting Ehl.
22 Apr 2026 16:39:08
Huge thanks to what the Legend that is Tav has given to Rangers. He has stats that will not be broken and has always shown total commitment to the cause. Big boots to fill, gut luck lad.
22 Apr 2026 16:50:57
Very well said Ehl. How do we know Moore loves Tav? Mb ask Raskin the backing, or more importantly, the backing Martin got from Tav, Butland, Dowell and Souttar when he was temporarily removed from training and attending the Old Firm match.
22 Apr 2026 17:02:10
John, could you elaborate a little on this please?
22 Apr 2026 17:04:48
I 100% agree, Ehl. I know of the very same situations, I alluded to it before and got pretty much slaughtered, so I decided not to mention it again and leave it alone.
But I also am looking forward to him moving on to pastures new, it will have a positive effect on certain things, sorry to say.
Hope everyone is well.
5 games to go lads.
22 Apr 2026 17:56:39
Thanks to Ehl and John for the inside info on Tav, even if it is a bit disappointing to hear.
I would imagine in football, like other areas of life, there are all sorts of different personalities and characters at each club.
We are all the same! We are all different!

Lundstram versus Raskin.
Tale of the tape.
Lundstram 2021 Europa League.
Goal conversion – 0% ( 0 goals ).
Pass accuracy – 85%.
Assists – 1.
Total duels won – 37% ( ground 49%, aerial 25% ).
Average possession lost per game – 11.
Raskin 2025/2026 SPFL season where he is apparently "saving himself" for the WC.
Goal conversion – 10% ( 5 goals ).
Pass accuracy – 86%.
Assists – 7.
Total duels won – 54% ( ground 55%, aerial 53% ).
Average possession lost per game – 12.
Or maybe that's an unfair comparison, so what about Raskin for Belgium?
Goal conversion – 9% ( 1 goal ).
Pass accuracy – 90%.
Assists – 0.
Total duels won – 42% ( ground 57%, aerial 36% ).
Average possession lost per game – 6.
Or instead of trying to point score over players. Why don't we:-
A/ appreciate Lundstram's part in the run to the EL Final.
B/ appreciate Raskin who plays in midfield for one of the top Countries in the World.
22 Apr 2026 13:45:31
Great post, mate. Don't think it will catch on right enough.
22 Apr 2026 14:03:24
Lumdstrum was a good player, particularly when he would drop into defence to make 3 CB during games. Seemed to get unfair criticism.
Not really following your stats though, would it not be better to show the stats for their full time here during league rather than trying to compare Lundtrum EL stats from 1 season against Raskin's in League or for country?
22 Apr 2026 14:26:16
Huey, read SixteenNineties posts for why Euro run. That was him at his best as well, so Raskin for me. Thanks for comparison info, MPH.
22 Apr 2026 14:30:00
Did Lunny not score against Dortmund, Tattie?
22 Apr 2026 14:37:26
It was the winner against Leipzig to send us to final Bb4.
22 Apr 2026 14:48:14
On second thoughts, Huey, don't bother. Spare yourself the pain. 🙄
22 Apr 2026 15:30:34
Scored against Dortmund and Leipzig.
Don't know how I never picked that up!
22 Apr 2026 13:24:19
Well Tav thank you very much, some great memories through your time and wish him the best for his future.
Now onto who should be the next club captain. Now I'm going to put it out and say Connor Barron. I think he will be with us for years and normaly very tidy on the ball just not sure he's got the temperament for it.
22 Apr 2026 13:31:34
Sorry Dave, not a chance.
22 Apr 2026 13:35:06
Jesus wept. Nope, never in a million years.
22 Apr 2026 13:38:05
Thanks for your service, Tav, but time catches up with us all. Now go and deliver that title. What a leaving present that would be. 👏
22 Apr 2026 13:43:45
Connor Barron, who was going to drive us to the title after his return from injury but can't even get a game currently as he's 3rd choice behind Raskin & Chukwuani (4th choice if you include Lundstram 😜).
I would have Raskin in a heartbeat as Captain.
22 Apr 2026 13:46:51
Wee bit too early for Conor. A player I really like. Not just yet though for captain.
22 Apr 2026 13:56:02
Rommens or Raskin for me, both of fiery character. 👍👍
22 Apr 2026 13:57:08
A captain will join in summer. I believe a vice captain will also join in summer.
22 Apr 2026 14:14:33
I never doubt your info, Aphelion, but I believe our next captain should be someone that's already at Rangers and, of course, capable. 🤔
22 Apr 2026 14:24:11
As much as I like Barron, he should be left to make the team 1st. Unfortunately, we don't have any with captain material, so hope u are right, Aphelion. Have an annoying feeling it will be one of Raskin, Butland or Souttar tho.
22 Apr 2026 14:26:05
Yes, SWS, but what if the one considered was expected to leave the club in summer also.
After a strong World Cup.
22 Apr 2026 14:30:35
Raskin for me. 🫡
22 Apr 2026 14:57:42
I like Barron as a squad player. If he plays to a high, consistent level, he could start, but not captain for me.
22 Apr 2026 15:25:16
If Raskin is here next season he's the automatic captain for sure. Souttar will be vice captain.
22 Apr 2026 15:44:54
Think it would be a mistake, personally, signing a captain aphe. So, one coming in totally blind. Think it needs to be a player already at the club imo.
22 Apr 2026 16:32:09
Rommens in the Glommens for me. 👍🤔
22 Apr 2026 17:29:22
Would normally agree, Paul, but what if those at the club have already proved they're not up to the job? We've had poor captaincy and leadership groups for years now. Honestly, don't see a good captain anywhere in our team.
22 Apr 2026 17:51:21
I would normally agree with you, coops, but I don't see anyone other than Raskin, and I think he will be away.
22 Apr 2026 12:23:19
I'm now just picturing the 92nd minute penalty winner from Tav at Falkirk on the last day to win the title. 😁.
22 Apr 2026 12:42:03
Hope it's done and dusted for us before that Kaiser 🙏 Too nerve-racking.
22 Apr 2026 13:35:36
Like Coops says, hope it's done before that, but I will take that ending also.
22 Apr 2026 13:43:06
Hope so too. But imagine the meltdown. Throw in a dodgy VAR call and a helicopter and it'd be perfect. 😂😂
22 Apr 2026 13:44:27
I would take it hitting of Tavs a*** if it meant us securing the title.
