GDog, he does have a clause. His contract can be ripped up at the conclusion of the first year of the 3 year deal. It was a 3 year he signed at Hearts, just the clauses weren't revealed.

Southend - all reports stating it was a 1 year deal with an option of a further 2 years. Reports also state we were not negotiating with Hearts, but only the player, so that backs up he's currently a free agent.

Beale signed Dessers who scored 52 goals in his first 100 games. The best goals return of any striker since Kris Boyd, I believe. He was a fantastic signing.

Gvb, not sure it makes Gio or Clement look foolish, as both wanted him, if I remember, & weren't allowed/cost too much at the time. Martin & Thelwell were foolish for not him free. Be foolish if he won Hearts the league but didn't.
Dessers was top scorer last season, Chermiti only got 1 less goal than him & got more assists than him this season. Takes a team to win the league unless you have a Messi in the team, we need more from other positions.

I'm pretty sure Hearts announced it as a 3 year deal at the start of the season. Rumours of a Rangers clause could be true, and if so, well done, Shankland.
