swansea and leicester in 8m bidding war for jelavic, rangers after neil mellor from preston -talksport.

Believable18 Unbelievable56

Cracker timothy. Surely you could have thought of a better lie than that . #Oddball .

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are you calling the guy a timothy? He has posted a rumour that he has heard and it is a rumour site.Another embarrassing Gers fan that thinks because it's not true or he doesn't agree it must be a dhim posting. www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/football-league/championship/1312/53/rangers-plan-january-move-preston-striker

I think you owe the guy an apology Oddball mate.

LarkyJim

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig whyte's wealth is off the radar! howzat for a lie! players paying for a game now,oh dear!

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you prove his wealth is not?. He has already spent 18 million clearing the bank debt, 2million on players and quite a bit of cash up-grading the stadium. I sure don't have that sort of cash under my bed.

4INAROW

Agree0 Disagree0

Neil Mellor, lol. We're skint but not that desperate. Would be better with Will Mellor.

Gerry The Ger. {Ed001's Note - Neil Mellor is a very good goal scorer, his problem is a lack of pace and a poor attitude. But he has excellent technique, is strong and decent in the air too. Get the best out of him and you will love him, might do him good to not be out whoring with Rooney too.....}

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if it is a bidding war then the price will go up and up...

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte has not paid off the debt, he has took it on, it is still owed to Lloyds. He will pay it off if he wins the taxcase. The financing to do this is in place but it is another loan he will pay it with. There is still interest being added to the debt as well,Whyte has negotiated a better deal interest wise and will take on the payments after the tax case if they win it

Agree0 Disagree0

Well the 7 million black hole he speaks about in wages should be no problem, just a quick dip under the bed and all is well! get the heads removed from the sand bearz!

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye....

First of all, Swansea wouldn't spend Ł8m on a player. Second of all, why would Rangers sell Jelavic to replace him with Neil Mellor??

The worst rumour I have ever heard. Must try harder.

TonyTheGer

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed you say mellor is a good player but isn't he nearly 30 am not disputing his football or anything but a 30 year old can this guy be as good as jelavic at his age i don't know will he score more goals its just that it is a risk and i would have thought if jelavic did go which i obviouley hope not we would buy somebody a bit younger then mellor {Ed001's Note - I wasn't suggesting it would be a good move, just saying he isn't a poor player, just lacks in attitude. He seemed to think he made it when he got into Liverpool's reserves, hence why he was boasting about the number of goals he scored there to erm certain females while erm out with Rooney.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Oddball just cos you dont like a rumour dont slag people off. In local Leicester papers about jelavic

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be better trying someone with something to prove rather than Mellor who lets face it would have played more Prem football with some club had he been up to it.

I do believe that Jelavic is on his way - it way actually his 'league sewn up' comments. That made me think that he is out of here and was trying to justify it by saying that he had already done his bit for us winning the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Swansea have no money, We wouldn't go for Mellor.

Agree0 Disagree0

For every ten pounds mr whyte spends sone aluko will spend 20pounds lol hail hail

Agree0 Disagree0

All Mr Whyte has spent is ticket and sponsorship money. Oh and the quid he paid Sir Taxdodger of Govan .

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that the Swansea that got 90 million for winning the play offs {Ed001's Note - they did not get 90m for winning the play offs! It is not even close to that. The 90m is the total including Premier League TV money for this season and then the next few years parachute payments if they get relegated. But it doesn't take into account that every single player at the club gets a percentage increase in wages after promotion. It doesn't take into account the extra money clubs have to pay out to keep the media in the luxury the Prem forces clubs to keep them in. Plus numerous other costs.}

BREAKING NEWS (OFFICIAL):

Sone Aluko undergoes Rangers medical

sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/rangers/282058-sone-aluko-undergoes-rangers-medical/

Believable24 Unbelievable3

Aluko will end up like those other great signings, ORTIZ,BEDOYA. Panic must be on all over the SPL now.
What a signing SALLY well done

Agree0 Disagree0

What a rubbish signing this is; Ortiz = pish, Bedoya = pish, Mckay = jury undecided, Boncenegra = good, Goian = good, Wallace = crocked, Bartley = crocked. God help us and our wonderful club.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish signing? he was 150k, hes well known in the spl, and he is that dedicated he even paid some of the fee himself. hes obviously not here for the money, otherwise he would have kept it and gone somewhere else on better pay. dedication like that to me means hes earnt a chance. give the lad a go this season, if he performs well renew his contract long term, if not, short term then flog him. he looks a good lad, give him a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

150k paid from his own pocket shows how desperate he is and how skint rangers are!

Agree0 Disagree0

To above poster, he's been without a club since June. A risk not worth taking, tha lad has skill but he needs to prove it on the big stage.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where he get his medical. the local gp. so sad to see such a great club resort to pi5h poor players thatwe are having to suffer. murray has a lot to answer for. remember this.
goram

will we ever see this again

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster above,it was because murray put you in hock that you could field the above line up, show a bit of gratitude at least he put his money up on more than one occasion unlike the shyte night

Agree0 Disagree0

The shyte night is cleaning up Murray's mess ya numpty. Yes Murray did provide us with some great names but it was all on tick and HMRC. Craig Whyte has no choice but to sign utter pish. I just pray that we can make it through this HMRC disaster.....

Agree0 Disagree0

The shyte night has pulled the wool over your eyes, net investment zilch ,he is using all the season ticket money, as you put it numpty. As for Murray he put his money in, dont forget Rangers fans had a chance to dig deep and Murray ended up covering the share issue

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray put zilch in, he over levergaed his borrowing, against nothing coming back in and he evaded Ł35m of tax to reinvest in the team and attract players to Rangers. Craig Whyte is a business turnaround specialist and he will ensure Rangers survive or are reborn. He is being financially prudent and is just balancing the books at the moment, pending the outcome of the case. The current situation lies entirely at the previous regimes financial mismanagment, in my opinion.

Sone Aluko has completed his move to Rangers, signing an initial deal until the end of the season.

The Nigerian winger completed a medical with the Ibrox club on Thursday and will go straight into the squad for Sunday's match with Kilmarnock.

Aluko agreed terms on a move to the Scottish Premier League champions on Tuesday and negotiated an option which could see Rangers retain him for a further two season.

The deal threatened to fall through because his former club, Aberdeen, claimed they were entitled to training compensation for developing the player under SPL rules for three of the four seasons he was at Pittodrie.
RANGERS SIGN ALUKO
Talks between the Dons, Rangers and Aluko's representatives on Wednesday saw an agreement struck over a payment, freeing up the 22-year-old to move to Glasgow under freedom of contract.

In a statement, Aberdeen confirmed they had reached an agreement which will see them receive "training compensation, potential contingent payments and a sell on clause."

Aluko left Aberdeen in the summer, having turned down a new deal. He had been without a club since, training with Sheffield United for a spell, before agreeing to return to the SPL.

Rod the Bear
personally I reckon the guy has talent, we need some flair in this team and I remember him skinning Bayern munich and scoring a peach! anything against bayern after what happened to Mols is good in my book

Believable16 Unbelievable5

I think this will prove to be a very good bit of business! Welcome Sone! Get used to a winning team and silverware... You are now in a squad of champion so let's see you play like one.

The Fifer

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye ur right any player who starred for aberdeen and goes for that kind of transfer fee must be ready to become the new pele. he is awsome.

Agree0 Disagree0

Opposed to Celtic signing a released player (Blackman) from a Confrence Winning Side??

Scottish Premier League player who didnt want a new contract or....

Englands 5th league's rejects?

hmmm

Glasgow Rangers Champions ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Blackman was signed as a squad player STUPID.
As for Aluko do you really think if he was that good he would have been sitting kicking his heels sins the summer,NO me either so WAKE UP a standard player in a standard league, P.S Being champions should you lot not be in EUROPE ?.

Agree0 Disagree0

If any of you have actually seen him play before, you would have seen the guy has undoubted skill, pace and ability. The question is wether he can play well consistantly for a club like Rangers. Ł10mil doesn't guarentee a successful player just like a free player isn't guarenteed to be a dud. Every player needs time to prove himself, judge him after he's actually played a few months of football for Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

If celtic r really title contenders, should they be SEVEN points behind first place?

Agree0 Disagree0

Championships are never won in November, will need every one of those points after the January fire sale. Aluko for Jelavic good buisness mmm.

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't it a bit unfair to be judging him before he even plays a match for us? He is talented and he is young, so there is plenty of time for Rangers to develop him further. Add to that; he obviously wants to play for us, hence his contribution to the settlement with Aberdeen. We have been winning the league for the last few years because we have players like him who want to play for us, and that really does make a difference.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your opponents getting kicked out is hardly a reason to boast about getting through to the next round especially as you had been gubbed

Agree0 Disagree0

Poor Sone .theres one born every minute right enough . I wonder if I could get a game if I had a 100 grand to spare

Agree0 Disagree0

Poor Aluko remortgaged his house! Living in murry park. I love how Craig Whyte only paid a pound for the club but aluko pays 100 000 to play for them! On an ABERDEEN players wage {Ed001's Note - and he will get it back in about 6 weeks! Hardly a big deal for him.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Kicking his heels... Like when he was training with Juventus? Nugget.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed hes no oan 25grand a week lol itl take him a good few months to pay that back so fair play to him (even though the goal today was his fault)

Sone Aluko is undergoing a medical with Rangers as he nears the completion of his move to Ibrox.

The 22-year-old agreed terms on a move to the SPL champions on Tuesday but his move under freedom of contract hit a snag, with his former club insisting they would pursue a development fee.

As recently as Wednesday morning, the Dons were insistent they would not waive their claim on Aluko, who left Pittodrie in the summer.

But following talks between the two clubs and the player's representatives, a settlement figure is close to being reached and Aluko should soon be free to put pen to paper on an initial contract until the end of the season.

If he impresses during his stay, the Nigerian has also been offered the chance to stay for another two seasons.

Aluko is set to be included in Ally McCoist's squad for the trip to face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday.

Rangers interested in Honduran striker and Rangers supporter Scott Allan of Dundee Utd.

The Scottish Sun

But I read seperately earlier that the Honduran striker is ready to sign for Rosenborg so could be paper talk.

Believable11 Unbelievable12

Only interested if/when you sell jellyfish downsizing fc

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic supporter Scott Allan of Dundee Utd.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the deluded Timothy above - I can guarantee you that Scott Allan is very much a bluenose, that is a well known FACT! There's always one of you eh, just can't stand the thought of another big Scottish talent coming to the Champions.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im from dundee and most of my mates support dufc and it is defo a known fact with them that he is a bluenose, according to them he was raised close to ibrox and his bedroom window used to look onto ibrox when he was younger, his family are also rangers supporters

dont know know if the tim above is mistaking him for templeton of hearts, who although comes from a rangers family on his dads side and is named after a rangers legend and his father hero, is actually a celtic fan due to living with his mother family who all support celtic.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who the hell cares what team these guys support? If they can do a job for us on the park then they should be signed. Grow up!!!

Big Ad

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said big Ad they are proffesional footballers doesnt matter which team they support .im a die hard rangers fan but if celtic came to me and said here theres 10grand a week to play for us id be like geez it thank you ....bigt

Agree0 Disagree0

If it doesnt matter who these players support then please remind me the major factor in our winning of 3 in a row? Other than the bottle merchants in the east end. Ill think you will find it is the fact we have had a group of fans playing for the club who knows what it means to play for rangers and have the undying passion and determination for this great club. Dont be so ignorant as to say what team they support does not matter because the proof is there and it definately does matter.

BlueStu

Agree0 Disagree0

He is not ready to join rosenborg...the also had a look at him! Hopefully we do sign scott alan

MainStandBear

Agree0 Disagree0

Pay your tax you cheats

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't matter a jot who supports who! whittaker is from a celtic background and scott brown is a bluenose yet remember when gers won penalty shootout against fiorentina to reach uefa cup final and whitty was reduced to tears of sheer joy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Timmothy has nothing to say except clutching at straws over a tax bill.. hilarious haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember Neil mccann............I would play for crawley town rather than play for Celtic, sorry but I could never pull on the hoops. Any way off to bed now, have to get up for work the morra.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course it matters if they were rangers fans as youths look at our setuop now all bar a few have been blue to the core since birth that is why we are champions but im not saying we shouldnt take talent of another profesional footballer if he is willing to pull on that blue jersey and play for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Just cos he is a celtic fan doesnt mean he wont come. Millier went to Celtic after being at Rangers for ages and being a fan, etc etc, many more examples

Rangers and Aberdeen agree £100,000 compensation fee.

Express.co.uk

Welcome to the champions Aluko, the creative spark we need!

Believable12 Unbelievable7

Are you honestly happy about us signing a blue square premier class player like sone aluko what a joke.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we should give him a chance before giving abuse, who knows wot he can do with better coaches & facilities etc, think 100k is peanuts for the risk. TheBigMan WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

He has got talent and he is proven in our league, he must have shown up well in training and bounce game also as we have had a lot of players on trial since the summer and not taken them on.

Welcome to Ibrox Sone and good luck!

Bazza Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

How on earth can u say he is a blue square standard of player?. Ally is doing the right thing , taking a look and seeing if he impresses and he has. No gamble in signing him and i always though he was Aberdeen's best player.

Welcome to the home of the champions Sone!.

Agree0 Disagree0

Blue square standard lol , what like kelvin wilson, darryl murphy, adam matthews, need i go on ? oh yes big names , samaras , majstorovic , forster , badouri , kommons ?? you beat dunfermline, JUST, were really sweating now , job will be done for teddy bears just after xmas at the piggery.

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant get excited about this one,he was Aberdeen class at best,to the poster about 100000 being a small risk(you struggled to pay a 1500 legal bill) the way things are going at IBrox that is your transfer budget blown all on one player

Agree0 Disagree0

To Tim above...You can't get excitied by it, and we've blown our budget on one player...we didn't spend a penny in the last two years yet still had the quality to get two titles in the bag....i feel they are a worried down Piggery Way :)

Agree0 Disagree0

To the tim with amnesia i can remember didier agathe being bought for Ł35,000 and he was mainstay in your team for years, sometimes its just being clever and knowing what you want from a player...in ally wee trust

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot cant get excited about much these days though, thats why your on the champs page, nice to see the real NL fighting with his supporters last night, nice man , LENNON MUST STAY !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is the fee correct seem's awfully high for a player only signed til the end of the season, I understand the further 2 year option but what is in it for Rangers if it doesn't work out

Agree0 Disagree0

Aluko a Conference Player?

Surely celtic just SIGNED a player who ACTUALLY played in the conference?? Mr Blackman??
