Is there anybody in football more sad and bitter than Chris Sutton?

Every year since we beat Dunfermline 6-1 and Celtic failed to put 6 past a rotten Kilmarnock team missing a penalty while Arteta scored ours (notice Chris how footballing skill won it Arteta scores pen Thompson misses NO FIX) he has posted some petty story trying to bring Rangers down or us fans. The latest being that Danny Wilson could only possibly choose Celtic ahead of Rangers!

I accept Celtic are in the top division but as they have a glut of central defenders including the new boy the just signed and Wilson would not be guaranteed a game weekly. At Rangers he can be the mainstay central defender under a former great Rangers centre half and captain learning how to progress as a player and be part of the Rangers revolution under the 2 Dubyas.

I know where I would sign in his shoes. He also knows Celtic are perennial bottlers and when Rangers are back in the SPFL their's will crash yet again when Aberdeen Rangers and Hearts pressure them next 2 seasons

Got to laugh at Sutton though it is great to know that day still winds him up so much

Got it bang on . Sutton is a sad sad man. Get over it Chris .

Totally agree KT the irony is lost on him that a former keeper of theirs conceded at least one penalty to them (I can't remember how the other one was conceded) and they won 4-0 away from home, no fix, but we win 6-1 at home with one pen , that's a fix even with Dunfermline scoring against us and Killy hardly venturing into their half.

I also remember his bitter interview after it slating the Kilmarnock goalkeeper and x Septic keeper Gordon Marshall. It was later reported that Sutton continually through out the gams was asking him to throw one in the net for them disgraceful and our SFA and SPL did Hee Haw, now there's a surprise!

17 Jun 2015 19:20:42
Great memories of that day. As well as Sutton, Lennon also made an arse of himself by ranting and raving at Gordon Marshall for not letting in more goals! You couldn't make it up!

Perennial bottlers!! Sorry but who won the league last time your mob were in it? After use leadin by how many points? And the perennial bottlers swept use aside in 1st gear a couple of months ago! Think the perennial bottlers are the team who were horsed 6-1 by a woeful motherwell team a few weeks ago! Perennial bottlers haha! And the reason Wilson won't be going to the champs is because he's not good enough! As was proved when his Hearts team were soundly Beaten by the champs last season!

No the Peennial bottles are the first team in the history of European competition tae get pumped out not once, not twice, not three times but four times . 4 . Times in one season I can hear the sound of breaking bottles in Harthill Hee Haw yer Mince!

KT I remember the days when you talked sense, this wasn't one of them however. Has Sutton got an axe to grind? Yes, I'd say that's fair comment. Do we have a glut of central defenders? Erm no. Van Dijk I'd say it's more than likely he will go albeit he has two years left, Mulgrew - I prefer him as a defensive midfielder as does Deila in the most part. Ambrose - a squad player at best and not even that if I had the choice, Boyata - hasn't even kicked a ball yet, the rest are in the most part kids or fullbacks. So we have three first choice experienced central defenders, when three is deemed a glut I'll take it back but till then you are talking nonsense.

If there is one thing we learned from Deila last season he runs a meritocracy, so if you play well you will keep getting games and he has no problem with youth as developing one of Europe's hottest talents indicates, he'd learn just as much at Parkhead and get a good chance of European football and face a better quality of opposition week in, week out.

Perennial bottlers, KT, really? That is surely beneath you. Motherwell over two legs, three cracks at the petrofac, a dismal record v the Edinburgh clubs last season in the league till it was too late to matter and I don't recall us bottling the league cup semi, who was our opponent again? Oh yes Rangers, shots in the game 1 shots on target 0. Come on KT, your argument is meant to sway Wilson to Ibrox, not away from it.

When was the 4th time mate? The only 4 that happened last year was 4 in a row! We're mince!! Haha! Comin from the team who scraped 3rd in Scotland's 2nd tier! Scraped threw 2 play off rounds and were annihilated by the mighty well! So I'm interested to hear this 4th time we got put out in Europe?

Gaz
Who is one of Europe's hottest talents? You don't mean Van Clodhopper do you. Fine in an inferior league but shown up in Europe. I don't exactly see any of the big boy's rattling down your door to take him. He will be lucky to scrape into a bottom 4 premiership team.
Rangers very seldom bottled it when the chips were down before we were papped down to the bottom league. Your lot have a history of it. 2003/2005 (particularly so!)/ICT (numerous times)/Ross County/ Legia (big time)/ Maribor. And these are only the recent ones.
We had an excuse as we were pish. What's your excuse?
Now i'm going yo look into my yra leaves. Oh dear! Doesn't look good gaz. Look out for Delilah and what happens to him when you crash out of the CL at the group stage once again. You lot will be howling for his head on a platter.
Smell the glove

Cmon noo Big Sutton knows what he talking about having been a successful coach and manager winning titles and cups at. Ach the name of all those teams he has managed has slipped my memory. Some of these pundits must have been from lucky bags ( de ye still get them nowadays?)

15.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 08:40:51
Noddy it shows just how little you know about football when you didn't even know I was talking about Martin Odegaard. The boy Delia brought into first team training aged 13, making his debut the same season and now at Real Madrid. I'd ask if the name rang a bell but I very much doubt it. Better luck next time Noddy, off you go and spout crap to someone else.

16.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 08:45:04
Noddy when you say we'll crash out at the group stage does that mean you think we will make the group stage, why thank you for your support? I'd take the group stage in a minute right now as it will be much harder qualifying this year, even teams like BATE Borisov are seeded 6-10. But cheers Noddy I would have thought a bitter wee non-informed guy like yourself would have had us beat at the first hurdle.

17.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 11:31:27
You seem agitated Gaz.

Relax , take a break from all your trolling.

18.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 11:33:53
Gaz.
Of course I meant the qualifying stage. Don't think you can realistically look at getting to the groups. Wouldn't want you to get delusions of grandeur, as if you deserve to sit at the top table.
Re Odegaard - The lad is a good player but then it wouldn't take Einstein to realise this. Are you saying Delilah should take the credit for this? It takes me back to the days when Jimmy Johnstone was breaking through at Celtic. A deaf and blind person could have seen the wee man was going to be a great player. From all reports Odegaard could be in the same bracket. Sometimes these nuggets just land in your lap. So maybe Ronny is not the Messiah you guys think he is.
So why don't you wind your neck in, Gaz and leave the sensible football talk to people who know about the game.

19.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 11:36:18
Gaz
And by the way, while you are picking me up on detail, are you saying Odegaard made his debut at 13? I think you'll find a wee inaccuracy there, funnily enough!
Smell the glove!

{Ed001's Note - he did actually make his first team debut at the age of 13, oddly enough. Only in a friendly though.}

20.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 12:11:23
Ed. I wasn't aware of that. I suppose my wee green pal will be on to point it out!

{Ed001's Note - no worries, it is unusual, but the only reason he had to wait longer to play in the league was due to the rules on players having to have a professional contract. They had to find a loophole which allowed them to put him on the pitch at the age of 15 as an amateur.}

21.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 12:14:03
Thank you Ed. Some of us has the brains to research things before writing in here Noddy, you should try it once in a blue moon, your garbage to sense ratio might reduce dramatically. Ahhh you did mean qualifiers so even more crap from you, sad that you can't even write what you mean. Honestly Noddy get back to me when you can actually put something sensible together.

22.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 12:33:07
Nippon merely pointing out endless Gers fans nonsense, drivel and inaccuracy, it can keep you fairly busy it is fair to say. As I've said to you before Nippon you know less than nothing about me and I fancy you couldn't detect agitation with a top of the line agitation detecting machine but please don't let me stop you spending an hour or two on Amazon or Ebay looking for one.

Being a diehard Ger do you want something to do Nippon? You said before my questions don't offer any insight, okay here's a few for you, big one's, crucial I would say to your club's standing.

1) Can you find any documentation for deeds of novation regards Ibrox?
2) When taking over, King and the three bears alluded to Deloitte no longer being involved with the club, something never admitted by the previous board, did this affect the annual accounts and ultimately Rangers short term prospects of European football?
3) When will any of you demand a full enquiry into Rangers actual debts when Craig Whyte took over as BDO are clearly indicating these figures are higher than the well documented £18m? This clearly has ramifications for David Murray and more pertinently Paul Murray and Dave King.

So for all of you salivating over your Champ. Manageresque dream team I would humbly suggest dropping the champagne flutes and doing some investigation into real issues that impact your club, or will you leave it to Celtic fans (again)?

23.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 13:13:20
Fair questions gaz but I'll stick to the original point of the thread on this one for now. You always strike me as sensible so can you please explain how Sutton has a justifiable axe to grind as since his original outburst he's always came across as a very sore loser and incredibly bitter. I don't see how it can be anything otherwise but your reply suggests you agree with him and his conspiracy theories.

24.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 13:26:40
Hahaha
Diehard Ger? wouldn't go that far Gaz- shows how much you know about me. I thoroughly enjoy watching Rangers but I wouldn't call myself a diehard. It's funny that you get so irate when folk make suggestions about yourself, yet you are on at Noddy over his knowledge of the game?! Get a grip Gaz!
I don't have the answers for your three questions I'm afraid.
I suggest you go onto your 'rangers sevco' page! Full of level minded financial experts I'm sure!? I'm off for my dinner now, hopefully we can giggle at your next attempt to get the last word you so dearly crave!

25.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 13:59:41
Misread me Spart7 I'm agreeing with KT that he does seem to have a distorted bee in his bonnet regards Rangers (an axe to grind - and that is why I said what she wrote was fair comment), I never mentioned the word justified anywhere.

Nippon there is a difference between assuming you know someone and seeing someone making a clown of themselves verbally and picking up on it.

Of course you don't have the answers, that would involve proving you and others actually give a sh*t about your team and do some research when spouting inaccurate garbage is so much easier. Enjoy. That's my last reply to you, you asked for insightful questions, got them and ran a mile.

26.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 14:32:10
Don't be hard on yourself Gaz! I wouldn't call you a clown.
Paranoid and obsessed yes, but not a clown.
Where did I run a mile from your questions? I said I didn't know the answers. If you get out your little bubble maybe you would know that folk have asked similar questions.

27.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 15:01:24
Gaz

Get off your high horse. Since when was a friendly deemed a competitive match. Odegaard didn't play a competitive match until he was nearly 16. Friendly matches are tantamount to training matches as far as I'm concerned.
tbh I've forgotten more about the game than you'll ever know. Can you go back as far as Jim Baxter, Willie Henderson, Jimmy Johnstone and the like?

28.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 17:42:45
Noddy you thought Van Dijk was who I described as one of Europe's hottest talents, don't try and save face now, you know nowt. As for Odegaard as Ed has already explained only rules prevented an earlier, much earlier, competitive debut you would imagine. I said debut by the way not competitive debut but for the record he was 15 years and 118 days old when he made his competitive debut, that's closer to 15 than 16 or can we add arithmetic to the list of things Noddy knows nowt about (man it's a growing list). Age goes for nothing when you write rubbish Noddy. You are probably older than Stephen Fry will I tell him you want his place on QI based on witnessing Baxter and Henderson?

29.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 17:47:37
So every decrepit old guy out there is an authority on football , noddy?

30.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 18:48:55
And here comes the other one! Fishing trip ended! Well done boys

31.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 18:51:37
Gaz

Did you sit and count the days? Man now that's really sad! Re Dick van Dyke - I'm fed up hearing it on phone ins and reading it on supporters' forums of how this guy is world class etc etc. Please, leave it out guys. He is average at best.

32.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 18:55:17
That seems to be his rule of thumb fab1, or maybe he prefers other measurements like hand, furlong or chain. :)

33.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 19:32:41
No Noddy I read up on it. For a guy who said group stages when you meant qualifiers, thought Van Dijk when I clearly meant Odegaard, claimed nearly 16 when in actuality he was closer to 15 I would really suggest you do the same but lazy, factless spouting seems to be your way Noddy, each to their own. Oh and by the way you bit on my reply to KT, who really is doing the fishing here?

34.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 19:38:09
Gaz have you noticed that when he gets caught out it's always some magical mythical fishing trip he is on , lol .

35.) 18 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 20:35:17
Lol, yup fab1 we are in site full of grizzled fishermen, comparing their scars and stories of the U.S.S. Indianapolis. Either that or you clamp them with logic and you become obsessed or catch of the day, which is just about the only two answers some of them have.

Herald reports that debts were massive, way beyond what Whyte could ever do in nine months, reason this has significance is that board had King and Murray on it, Pauline highlights it on here but stories of the day are will we go 3-5-2 or 4-4-2, here's our 42 potential new signings and Chris Sutton's a bit of a bad loser. It's funny and sad in equal measure and I get that it's not everybody's cup of tea but just ask, go on a phone-in, ask are our accounts up to date what did King mean by that etc etc, sure our journalists are thick in the most part but they will at some point ask someone in the know and get back to you.

{Ed001's Note - there is a page for that stuff, that is why this page is full of football talk, please don't clog up this one with the other. For heaven's sake there is a reason everyone thinks accountants are boring, and you are sounding like an accountant. This is a banter page, either banter or don't reply because this financial stuff is not banter and not for this page.}

36.) 19 Jun 2015
18 Jun 2015 22:46:50
Well said Ed. You are quite right. This is a banter/wind up site and I must say I do love the banter. The guy is obviously just a blowhard who enjoys sitting on his high horse boring everybody with his facts and figures and his seemingly endless knowledge of all things Rangers. Comes across as a guy desperate for friendship. I suppose he always has wee Fandabidozi to hang on every word and agree with every statement he makes
