Any thoughts on the team Pedro should play on Saturday subject to injuries? I'd really like to see Pena and Herrera in the heat of an Old Firm match. Should Alnwick be given the nod? And what about young McCrorie if Alves is injured? Suggestions please!

I'm not sure about pitching McCrorie into an old firm. Could be a stroke of genius but if it goes wrong it could spell the end for Caixinha and him.

I would hold Herrera to the bench just now as we should def still go 4-5-1 and it needs to be Morelos up top.

Alnwick did well last night so that is a tough one. Fods not had any disasters to be dropped but Alnwick gives me more confidence. Alnwick in I say.

If Alves is injured I only hope this heightens everyone's need to focus a little more. I reckon only the boss who has seen them all in training can decide who gets the nod.

My other concern is Windass is far to predictable on the left and comes inside giving us no width and cannot team up with John/ Wallace.

Looking likely Bruno and John will be out which realistically leaves us with a back line of Tav Cardoso Mccrorie and Hodson. We need a LM who will track back and defend on Saturday and Windass is useless for that, issue is we have nobody to replace him.

Good posts guys. What about Wilson in central defence if Alves is injured and Beerman at left back? Assuming Alves, John, Rossiter and Wallace are all out injured I'd go with (4-5-1):

Alnwick; Tavernier, Cardoso, Wilson, Hodson; Jack, Dorrans, Candeias, Pena, Beerman; Morelos

Beerman is fast and a left-sided player. We'd have Herrera and Miller on the bench if we need late goals and I've a feeling Pena will relish the Old Firm battle, as will Dorrans. We might not win but I don't think we'll lose either. My prediction: 2-2

Alwick has a magnificent beard so gets my nod lol, in all seriousness though we need john in the team i liked the look of him last night, bruno won't miss out but we have to be harder in midfield in el buffalo we have somebody with confidence up top i really think we could do well, celtic are a team playing well but we can get a result as long as we keep going as we seem to give up, i also think they'll be some meaty tackles in this one can see red cards in it, as long as we win i couldn't care though, pedro did speak sense last night though its all about confidence

DOIGER

I would go with your team. I think given we haven't seen too much of beerman so Pedro might go with Miller on the left.

I thought John, mccrorie, Pena and candias were all good last night. Cardozo did ok but needs to defend better when players run at him.

7 games in and we need to throw boys into the Celtic game by the look of things.

It looks like Rossiter and kranjar are done and I worry about big Wallace. His form has been poor for a while now plus it looks like he is going to struggle with his groin injury.

I think the rebuilding job is much bigger than I expected. I just hope Pedro is the right man for the job as we can't afford too many more mistakes.

I'd like to know what all the doom mongers think about Pedro's signings now, in light of last night's goals. Admittedly it was only Patrick, but you can only play what's in front of you. Surely Pena and Herrera should be given a bit of time now, instead of being slaughtered on here constantly.

We have played six league games with only one defeat and that was when Jack was sent off - we would have won if we had 11 men on the park. We are in the semi-finals of the League Cup and if we beat Celtic on Saturday we'll be within 2 points of them in the league and they've to go to Aberdeen next month. The last four of the League Cup could well be Rangers, Hibs, Aberdeen and Celtic, so that will be tough. The biggest flop was our Europa League defeat but that's gone now. I really do think we'll finish 2nd at worst and also within a single figure points margin from Celtic.

Paddy Roberts has wet dreams about Beerman playing.

I'd take 2nd with a single figure difference as a minimum Doiger.
My team for the weekend is same as most on the right and middle. I do think Alnwick deserves a shot in goal.
I'm not sure about the left. John at lb if fit. Then either beerman on left wing for cover or miller for goals.

Wison? We'd be better off with Davie Wilson and he's 78.

Is Holt worth a try on the left in the old firm game instead of windlass as Berman is injured and don't know if nemane or dalcio are ready.

Alnwick is a good shot stopper but his distribution is not as good as Wes, how many counter attacks does Wes set up each game. Alnwick is too slow getting the ball out which gives the opposition time to get back into position. It is a no brainier Wes is a better goalie hands down

Or even Scott Wilson! Remember him?

RtrTRnF - you are deluded mate, we will not be anywhere near single figures of Celtic this season, we have won 3 games out of 6 and if we lose on Saturday ( which we will ) it will be 8 points already. The sooner wake up and realise this the better.

GraemeH89,you're replying to the wrong poster pal, I think it might be DOIGERS post. It's definitely not mine. And it's RtRnRf as in Rangers then Rangers now Rangers forever!
