Looks like ciaran Dickson signing for Burnley. Another small development fee to add to coffers. All helps the academy.

Seen that earlier John, said he had fell out with management. Would that be down to the C.V. breach or is there more to that than meets the eye do U think? Kinnear to bimingham, mebude to Watford and Dickson to Burnley, all good moves for the boys, especially mebude and Dickson. Suggests to me they definitely have the ability to play for us in a year or 2 so why get rid? Must be the C.V. thing.
Bit sh** tbh as Patterson and Bassey seem to have survived it.
Thoughts or info guys?

Ingerr Dickson was not involved in C.V. at rangers.
I heard another serious story which I said at time would result in him leaving if true.

Will we get anything for Dickson? I thought we’d just ‘released’ / pretty much sacked him over whatever incident caused the fallout. Overall I think it’s a bit of a worry how some of the younger players at our club seem to conduct themselves. You had Patterson Bassey Mebdue Kinnear all involved in the C.V. breach after what must of been hundreds of warnings. 12thmans story the other day about Kinnear apparently being at George square, whatever it is Dickson did to get him released just after signing a new deal. Kinda concerning. I know young Scottish footballers hardly have a reputation for being very bright but we really need to start getting a handle on some of this. Some kind of schooling / training in how to conduct themselves professionally. Or maybe getting shot of some of these guys might give the rest the kick up the arse they need.

We still get a development fee from day they entered club, even if we free, sell or move on.
Kids at all clubs get plenty schooling and training, unfortunately some don’t learn.

You can lead a horse to the water Ger but you can't make it drink it. Remember when your a teenager you know everything and don't care much about what others tell you as you know best. Then you hit your 30s and realise you could have and should have done things better and took on the advice you were given.

I stand corrected John, don’t know why I go mixed up there with him and C.V..
What is it he’s alleged to have done then? Anyone have any info on it?
Either way the players were releasing aren’t disappearing off the map like they used to. We have 2 going to epl teams albeit the u23s and 1 going to a decent level at Birmingham. It shows they have the talent.

Would we still be entitled to the development fee because we released him 2 years early? Thought he looked decent anytime I saw him. Read he has fell out with hierarchy at the club.

Unfortunately the mindset of young footballers is very different to what it was even only 10 years ago.
They get handed too much too soon out of fear of another club doing the same if we don’t and losing them.
Their mentality is not as tough and they used to be now as coaches are not allowed to shout at them the way they used to when they need it and they don’t need to do all the rubbish jobs like ex pros used to.
So even if they do get trained on how to behave properly or trained how to speak to media etc the culture has changed for the worse IMO.

I was under the impression to get a development fee u must have offered the player a contract. Also the wages the player was on and what he was offered is taken into consideration when a development fee is decided by the tribunal. That’s why clubs mostly settle it out of “court”.

Bearsden I’m not try to be smart but do u understand difference between getting a transfer fee for a contract player and a development fee for a young player released
The development fee was to stop clubs taking all the development players for nothing when they become free to sign their first professional contract.

Hamilton bear, if Dickson was caught drunk driving he wouldn’t be the first. Seems strange we give him a bumper deal then release him, that probably cost club money.
