Going to go out on an absolute limb here and say we get Shankland in the 11th hour
he doesn't seem to be signing new contract offer from hearts we apparently had scouts watching him
I think we may have had ither targets that may have not come to fruition and we will go in for shankland and get him

I may be 100% totally wrong but this is a rumour banter site ?.

If we did go for him they'd still push for silly money, surely PC may have others attainable in mind, without getting ripped off. Boy could do well who knows, then there's miovski, same thing sheep want silly dough probs.

I don't think our scouts at the hearts V aberdeen game last week were particularly there to scout shankland mate ie we know all about shankland and his attributes and i honestly don't think we're interested in signing him Thestigno1 ? Allegedly our scouts were there watching an aberdeen player ?.

Blue Floyd, I think Shankland still has 18 months left on his deal so he’ll still have a year come summer.

Blue Floyd, why will he leave for free in the summer? He’ll still have another year on his current contract by then. We won’t be signing Shankland and I have a feeling we won’t be signing a striker at all. I think Clement feels that the biggest issue we have is in actually creating clear scoring chances, and that’s why we’ve focused on bringing in 1) a midfielder that can bring the ball through the lines (he said that’s why just now we are playing more direct, that we had too many similar midfielders and no one who can ‘move through the lines’ with the ball) . 2) a winger and 3) a creative forward. I think he’s wanting more goals from everyone not just the main striker. After all, even the best strikers in the world won’t score many if now one is creating the right kind of chances.
Yes a top class striker would be amazing but there is very little chance of getting one of those in the January window, especially as we don’t have too much we can spend (largely due to FFP rules) . So why bring someone in for the sake of it when it’s better to wait and get the right player in the summer.

I think we may be interested in the heart full back Cochrane as I think both Yilmaz and barasic gone in summer so we'll need 2 new left backs.
Also interested in the Aussie CH, I hope. He's a player I like.

Just posted up on the rumours page stig, heard he will sign, 3.1mill + add ons.
