Reading between the lines and after watching both steven gerrard and jermain defoe's post match interviews last night, my own gut feeling is jermain defoe will be staying at rangers for another year 🤔I would honestly also be happy if that indeed turns out to be the case ðŸ˜ðŸ‡¬ðŸ‡§.

Hopefully no where even close to same wages. he's like 3rd choice. a lot of coin to be getting paid sitting on the bench week in week out.

Never worth that level of investment in him, he's did a job for us but his time is up at rangers in my eyes. csnt pay out crazy wages for what we get back.

I am a big Defoe fan and like the influence he seems to have around the dressing room but for me its time to say thanks for all your efforts and he leaves with our huge thanks. He is earning a very decent wage and has been bit part at best this season. I also think in games like yesterday he is taking what could be valuable game time away from players who desperately need it and who will hopefully be here for seasons to come.

Defoe should not be kept for another year IMO a has done well for us but not going to play many games at all.
67 games 30 goals is a good record but it’s time to leave.

Exactly cambiger, we signed itten for the future and we need to try n get the boy minutes to learn our system. Definate potential there butwont improve sitting on a bench every week. Defoe massive wage would be better saved for what he has contributed this season, would anybody say it has been worth over 1m a season wages. Hard to justify that when his body can't handle 2 games a week.
